Project Cancelled
I guess everybody had seen this coming, but it was time to announce for once and for all.
Due to situation between the mods and lack of activity, we may need to shut down this project; we had been discussing to re-launched later on, however I will not make promises.
Sorry to everybody who was hoping for this project!

I love this idea! Fuyumi is such an underrated character. Do you have a schedule in mind yet?
Yes we have! This is the schedule we have in mind https://beautifulwinterzine.tumblr.com/Schedule it may be subject of some changes, now that I have a group of people to help me out and some of them have more experience in this field.
Thanks for your interest!

2 days left!!!!

With great pleasure I announce we are officially looking for mods!
What are we looking for?
Experience: Even if you don’t have experience as a mod in a zine you can apply, but it is extremely encouraged. I’m looking for at least 2 people with zine experience and maybe a third one without it.
Good Communication Skills: I don’t only mean good english (or at least enough to get what the other person is saying; It’s not mandatory to be a native speaker!) but also that you are okay working in groups and comfortable managing people. As mods we will have to supervise a large string of people, so we need communication between both us and contributors and buyers.
Discord: A silly point, but necessary to make. While for the contributors it would be optional to participate on discord, as mods it would be necessary to us to be there and check.
Know a little bit of every position: While is not necessary to be an expert when it’s not your area, we need at least the basic knowledge on the different aspects of the zine. This is preferable but not mandatory.
The Positions
Finances: Somebody that is in charge of the money, aware of the different types of payment services.
Production + Shipment: The person in charge of manage the print companies, manages the shipment of the zine and of merch.
Layout + Formatting: The person responsible for putting it all together.
What’s in it for me?
A digital copy of the zine.
Possibility of getting paid. I remark about the possibility; it depends how the sales goes and even if it goes well, it would not be a lot. Don’t do this for the money, please.
Experience. This may not sound enough, but if you are looking for future zines or even in your work resume; “management of great quantities of people” / “management of an independent digital book” would be good skills in the future.
Any leftover merch and physical copies. While you will need to pay the shipment, the product itself would be free.
Social Boost. If you manage a shop or need to make an announcement, the zine will publish/promote your event even if is not related to the zine.
“Why are you looking for an experienced Mod if you haven’t worked on a zine before?”
While this may seen as hypocritical, I asked for a good reason; the project would be a lot harder if none of us has experience and that would impact the zine. I want this project to be a success more than anyone, so this may be necessary.
Can you Apply for more than one Position?
Yes, you can. However, you will only end getting one.
Any Questions?
As for actual questions, can mods also put something in the zine if they are able to make something for it? Do we have a set size? DPI? Or is that all determined by the mods that get chosen?
I haven’t decide anything on that regard, since I wanted to wait to have a mod team to decide this.
What would happend to the shipment position if the zine isn’t printed?
The mod would be in charge of the merch artist; the merch would be pure digital: wallpapers (both mobile and pc), icons, etc. Would be on charge on look for ideas, look out that these artist get the check ins, etc.
You ask here on tumblr, or if you prefer on curious cat.
That’s it! I hope you apply!

Where will the profits of the zine go? nwn
The zine is intended to go for profit; if we make it physical of course most of the money would go on it, if we needed to expend some money before (request a master copy from a printing, etc) I intend to pay the mods for that extra expend.
If after all of that we still have money? Then I want it to pay equally to the mods and contributors; and I want the pay to be the same for mods and contributors. While mods have a lot of extra work, I firmly believe none of this would be possible if it wasn’t for the contributors.
If you don’t mind, I would put this to be part of the faq, and thank you for the question!

Hello Everyone! We are still looking for mods (here a link to any interested people) but since there are some requirements that may take a little of time, I decided to publish the application guidelines so people can start building a portfolio now!
With our current Schedule, application’s will open on May 30, and close on June 30. I intend to follow these dates, but no matter what the contributor applications will always be open an entire month, to give time to people to come in!
But if anybody needs extra time or wants to have it ready, I will give the guidelines today!
For artist/merch:
3 samples of your art.
Finished pieces are EXTREMELY encouraged.
While this is not a requirement, it would be an incredible boost if your art includes backgrounds.
You can have more than one style in your pieces!
At least one of the pieces should feature Fuyumi, even if she is not the central focus of the sample. This could be a doddle, but we will need to see how you do Fuyumi.
Accessible link to your portfolio (google drive, Tumblr, Deviantart, etc)
For writers:
3 links to your pieces.
Minimum, the 3 pieces together should be at least be 1k, the maximum is 6k.
We can accept original writing and of course, BNHA fanfics; sadly we cannot accept pieces of other fandoms since we could not be able to fully understand the context.
At least one of your pieces should have Fuyumi, even if is only as a secondary character.
Accessible link to your portfolio (google drive, Tumblr, ao3, etc)
You can also apply as a Pinch Hitter (this is for writers), in this position you need to remember that you may have one week to come out with a piece, keep that in mind!
Remember to be sure that the links you provide are usable! Sometimes google drive doesn’t let you in and if we can’t access to your portfolio, we may need to leave you out!
Thank you for your attention! I cannot wait to see your pieces!

We have a FAQ!
Honestly, I cannot believe I didn’t make this before! We add a FAQ to our tumblr so people would not need to look unnecessarily to see if their question was asked or not.
If your question is not there, feel free to ask!
