Too many people will pass around "always trust your gut!" and "your intuition never lies" content when actually your "intuition" isn't immune to either propaganda, bigotry or trauma reactions. Which is important to be aware of actually

Screaming this video from the fucking rooftops
I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed that even some of my irl peers have stopped following even the most basic “don’t put your full legal name, age, and location in the public eye” safety rules and I felt like I was going insane lol

The way some men talk about women is crazy “I just want someone to wait at the door when I get home and be happy to see me, is that too much to ask?” Bitch just get a dog???

““Your church may not have caught up to God yet… your mother may not have caught up to God yet. And maybe she never will– that’s ok. If you are willing to stand up before your friends, and your family, and God and commit yourself to another human being? To give of yourself in that kind of partnership?… Honey, that is a marriage. That is real. And that’s all that matters.””

As soon as you came out, you said “Mom, I’m still me.” I need you to hear this: You are still you, Simon. You are still the same son who I love to tease and who your father depends on for just about everything. And you’re the same brother who always compliments his sister on her food, even when it sucks.

I found this really interesting. If you haven’t watched the entire show, I tried to keep the spoiler from Season 3 under read more.

I’m just sitting this here.
If you’ve watched the show then you know this is absolutely NOT the direction they went in. Production development changes, scripts evolve, but for this to have been in The Hollywood Reporter (March 2023), I feel like something was a bigger catalyst in changing course. Ward dying and Rafe going full vengeance on the Pogues would have been an understandable plot point.
Instead…
Rafe slowly gets redemption and “joins” the Pogues even telling Kiara during the big gun battle that he’s “got nothing to lose” because he’s a “killer, too.” Groff is the Season 4 villain.
Take from that what you will.

Sorry I'm not over the framing of Hadestown as a cyclical story. This is an old, old song, but we're gonna sing it again. We've been singing it for hundreds, probably thousands of years. It is the oldest surviving opera, the second ever written. It is, I cannot express this enough, the most common opera adaptation of all time. As soon as this story existed we were putting it to music and on a stage. This is an old, old song. And we're gonna sing it again. Because we love to sing. And because we love.
