featured in today’s photo is a book i just finished reading, a book that i’m currently reading, and two recently bought books 🥰📖 . another very on-brand film to go with my current read as i’m still reading hayao miyazaki’s ‘starting point’ ✨ i’m going crazy with the annotations of this book (swipe to read them!).. it’s amazing so far 🤩 i also never mentioned this, but i lost my kitty a couple of weeks ago.. she was found in my neighbor’s garage, and we still have no idea how she managed to slip out without any of us noticing! nonetheless, we missed her dearly and are elated that she’s back 🥺🤍 so this film just feels very appropriate to put in the background :’) . tldr; new books, old books, studio ghibli, and finding a lost kitty. oh, and uni has officially started too!! 🖥✨ (at Perth, Western Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CahbLNSvyZQ/?utm_medium=tumblr

Happy Tuesday friends⚡️ Today I went to a beautiful cafe to study with my friend! This is a picture from where we were sitting and honestly the cafe was so cozy, perfect for this fall weather! Anyway, I wanted to share with you guys a little reflection I had today (I’ve been sharing these so often now I might as well make a series out of them? 😅) I think one of the biggest challenges for me ever since I came to Korea has been to understand that my life process is different than everyone else’s. It’s so easy for me to look around me and feel like everyone is one step ahead or that they are doing things I wish I could be doing. Being alone in a foreign country means that I depend on myself to succeed and sometimes that is really scary. I only have one year left of university and it always feels like I am running out of time to figure out my life😪 Have you ever felt this way? It has really been a process for me to understand that my time is different than everyone else’s and to embrace that. Growth, academic or personal, takes time, and sometimes we are so focused on where we want to go that we forget where we are now. It is important to appreciate where we are and to give ourselves credit for the progress we are making, even if it’s small. Even if we can’t see immediate results, every step that we give towards becoming the person we want to be counts. We will get there eventually, right? We are all works in progress. However, don’t forget to appreciate the person you are now in the process. This version of yourself is doing it’s best and it deserves to live in the moment and enjoy it. We are enough now. We can always be better, yes, but we are always enough and we don’t have to wait to realize that!💖 I often feel like I wish I could grow more, do more, be more… but looking back I realize how much I’ve grown and how much I’ve done. Everyone is in their own path, and that’s okay<3 I wanna leave you with a quote I came across today: “Accept your growth by allowing yourself time to be transformed. 🌟Hey guys! How are you doing?🌟 These past weeks I’ve been trying to switch up my study routines to feel more enthusiastic about school overall. I feel like online classes are already pretty monotonous and I was losing my concentration and motivation🥲 Lately I’ve been been enjoying going to study dates with friends (or by myself). I feel like going to a different place to study motivates me so much more than staying home. I’ve also been trying to go to my school to take classes there once or twice a week! The buildings are open to use so I just go there and take my classes and pretend they’re offline(?)😅😅 I have also been trying to be more active in my online classes. I had fallen into the habit of simply listening to the lectures and most of the time I would end up looking at my phone. Now I try to put my phone away and try to engage with the content as much as I can. I take notes and participate every chance i get. This might seem like “obvious” things to do when taking a class but honestly they feel like such an effort in online classes😭 What do you guys do to be more active in online classes?🤔 In other news, I am receiving my second vaccine tomorrow and I am not excited because I know it will hurt🤣 This will probably be a tough weekend😭 I hope you are all having a great week!💛 https://www.instagram.com/p/CUujXmIhW4W/?utm_medium=tumblr
