How rare it was, to be able to have dinner and drinks on a Sunday evening, and all thanks to the long weekend. Now that it's over, it's back to the daily grind and regime. It was good while it lasted - I need more!!!!!

Visited 3 of Singapore's Southern Islands (St John, Lazarus and Kusu) last week with my friends and boy was it fun and incredibly hot. Seeing that we've never explored this portion of Singapore, we made an impromptu decision to go island hopping. Lazarus's had two beaches - one at the front and the other you have to walk all the way in for. The second beach is super quiet and much cleaner than Sentosa and ECP and we spent most of our time there. To get there, take a boat from Marina South Pier. They have a booth there and each ticket cost $18. The first ferry departs from mainland at 10am, and the second one at 2pm. It is better to take the first ferry, so that you'll be able to spend more time on the islands as their last ferry from the islands back to mainland is at 4pm. So the ferry schedule goes a bit like this.. Happy Valentine's Day, my one and only Valentine. I'm so glad to have you, and to many more special days (everyday) with you. Thank you for surprising me at my doorstep this morning, and for the lunch. It's okay that it wasn't too good (too fried and oily for the both of us) and I'm sorry you wasted your money. Don't be sad and sorry because at least we filled our tummies and so long I get to go through both the good and bad food with you, it's all okay. I can't wait to see you again next week <3

Unfortunately, I had a quiet Chinese New Year this year - did no visiting, there was no bustling relatives and such - just a quiet sit down 团圆饭 (reunion dinner) on the eve of Chinese New Year. I'm not complaining as it was nice to keep the tradition of the reunion dinner despite how small the family was, but it always seemed so nice to have a huge one so that there are more people to spread the festive cheer. Till another quiet one next year then, for now, it's back to reality and work after the restful holiday break.
