I’m tired. I woke up Sunday morning to an article in the Net York Times, saying the government was going to define gender as “male or female, based on genitals,” which was followed by an argument and break up from my romantic relationship. My ability to process most things has been shot, my sleeping habits have gotten worse, and those of you who know how my sleeping habits know that’s not a good thing.

I force myself to eat, because all food is tasteless, and I have no appetite anyway. I watch the news where yet another trans person is murdered for no reason. I watch cops illegally assault people of color, watch them shoot unarmed black men. I watch catholic priests molest THOUSANDS of children, and nothing happens. People openly discriminate against PoC and the LGBTQ communities.

These affected communities scream out for justice, for equality, for equal protection and treatment under the law. We create movements, and protest and scream our throats raw.

Do you know what I hear in return? “Well, the midterms will change things,” “The courts won’t let them get away with it,” “Those things won’t really happen,” “It’s really not as bad as you think.”

FUCK YOU.

“The courts won’t let him get away with it?” They have appointed 2 ultra conservative Supreme Court justices, one to a stolen seat, the other an accused rapist, FUCK YOU!

“Those things won’t really happen.” They are happening as we speak, open your eyes to what is going on in this country. FUCK YOU!

“It’s really not as bad as you think.” Black men are being killed by police without repercussions! People from majority Muslim countries (refugees) cannot travel to the US for “security reasons,” yet the vast majority of the 9/11 terrorists were from Saudi Arabia, who wasn’t on that list of countries, and we just made a multi BILLION dollar weapons deal with. They are currently trying to legislate my brothers and sisters out of existence. They are telling us and the world that I don’t exist, that I don’t deserve to exist because they don’t understand and it’s to hard for them or they are too lazy to try and learn something new.

Well FUCK YOU ALL!!!

You truly don’t understand what is going on right now, do you? It’s not just us that are under attack. Once we are legislated out of existence, Obergefeld is next, so say good bye to marriage equality, Roe v wade is going to go after that, along with safe, legal abortion.

You see, you are all taking a short sighted view of the issue. They will not rest until the United States is a Christian Theocracy. That is what they want, that is what they have always wanted, and this administration is helping them achieve that goal.

This is not fear mongering, this is an objective look at what is happening today. The policy legislating me out of existence, the attempt to redefine sex and gender at the U.N. The Department of justice saying it’s ok to discriminate against trans people, the Masterpiece cake shop ruling saying you have to be nice to Christians, even when they are hateful bigots.

So, I’m tired. Not just physically, but emotionally and mentally as well. I have been out as transgender for a year and a half now. I have been yelling and screaming about these things for a year and a half, but the side of hatred only seems to be getting stronger. I don’t know how much longer I will be able to fight, but as long as I’m alive, I will continue to fight, but I can’t do it alone. We cannot do it alone.

Please, if you fall under any of the other categories of the LGBTQ+ community, we need your help. If you have ever considered yourself an ally, we need your help. If you are an ally, consider yourself an ally, or want to be an ally, this is the moment of truth! Your actions and words will show who’s side you are truly on.

So fight! Go out and vote, protest, scream at the bigots in restaurants until they get uncomfortable and leave. Do everything you can to make people who are trying to delegitimize transgender Americans know that they may win a few battles, but their hatred and bigotry will never win the war, and don’t fool yourself, this is a war, a war for our survival.

Suicide rates are insanely higher for trans folks, and after these policy changes, that number is going to shoot through the roof.

So please, if you stand with us, we need more than simply words, we need action.

And to those of you on the other side, Fuck you. You can have my liberty and freedom when you pry it from my cold, dead hands.
