by the way one thing about tears of romirro is that it showed you can be turned into a lemurian. just as you can be wanderer-ified. rafayel started falling asleep more and more like xavier, and lemurians slumber like philosians do -- not to mention lemuria's "sun" needs people to be sacrificed to stay "lit", exactly like philos's core. even in forgotten sea, mc saw that the flame and her heart fed a crystal, which could be an aether core or a step above it.

also that one line about lemurians losing control of their appearance without their "sun" (which is just the sea god's heart) . which may or may not mean they literally can lose their sentience/minds without its influence -- making the sea god a very necessary being.

so. 1) lemurians may not be mythical beings in the traditional sense after all. what if they're just wanderers with extra steps? what if they're humans who "mutated" just as bride!mc was about to be? 2) that brings into question: lemuria's origins. why would a civilization live at the very bottom of the ocean in a fissure? what drove them there?

i think lemuria has a much bigger secret than the flame needing sacrifices. it being a civilization that shouldn't exist is also a comment they just threw out there. they could be the key to finally fuse protocores and human hearts, and even humans and wanderers together -- they could literally *be* the evolution ever is after.

Little Life Update

So I finally sent in my resignation from my job today. I've been wanting to do that for a while at this point and I suddenly feel so energized again its crazy TT

I have SO much ideas I've been wanting to work on and draw, work has literally just been eating me alive lately and I have also been focused on my commissions :')

I'm just excited to finally work on my own personal stuff now hehe, I can't wait to show everyone. Sorry I haven't been able to reply to all the asks in my inbox yet! I've been waiting for the right time to get to them all ;_; I promise i'm not deliberately ignoring people Ive just been trying to stay afloat lately

hello! just wanted to say, i hate your bridal boudoir shot art, theres something in it thats so mesmerising, to the point i keep staring at it, i love the work so much i cant take my eyes off of it. idk WHY but i am unable to avert my eyes. i keep coming back to view it again and again and again, i very much admire the little details within the art. please. what voodoo did you insert in it. its amazing— more than amazing. i can't find the exact words rn... but its surely breathtaking 🫠\\\\\

As for my tip, I'd say surround yourself with all the works that make you wanna draw. When I scroll through twitter I will often see works that make me go "I wanna do that !!" so I save a bunch of them and try to study them closely hehe.

Watch a lot of painting process vids too! Sped up or real time is up to you :) You can learn so much techniques watching other digital artists paint. I have pretty much been a self taught artist since i was young, and all I had as my guide were those old speedpaints on youtube!

Hello!! Yes I do :DD I have a very loose adhd friendly process bc sometimes I get kinda impatient trying to make each and every step clean before moving on to the next step. I like to start with a big brush to do my sketches/lineart too and I just paint over the thick lines :)

basically I like to keep everything loose and fast bc when I get stuck in one step for too long I start overthinking things. I utilize the lasso tool the most when making my shadows! So much better than just free handing it

Tell me why my idiot brain just realised the lemuria might be inspired off Helena Blavatsky's LEMURIA???? no wonder it sounds so similar i legit studied the theosophical society in Madras! (present day Chennai)

Blavatsky, one of the founders of The Theosophical society, wrote her book the secret doctrine in 1888 where she explored this theory of there being a submerged extra continent called 'Lemuria'. (This she got during one of her seances, ya cooky shit)

According to her it was supposed to be in the Indian Ocean connecting India to Australia extending all the way to Madagascar one side and connecting southeast Asia on the other. It was refuted with the development in geology by the early 1900s, BUT- Either way the desi bits of stylization in Rafayel's design make wayy more sense, if LADS lemuria was inspired by Blavatsky's lemuria then its culture 'technically' could have south east Asian and south Asian influences.

IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD............. I dont know if anyone else also took almost 2 hours finishing it like I did bc I kept on having to put my phone down because I got so overwhelmed from all the emotions I was getting reading through it all :')

I can't stop thinking about this little bit... Seeing the connections between modern day Raf and this Raf have made me love his character even more than I thought I already did TT

I really can't wait for the updates to the mainstory because I believe its Xav and Raf's turn next ouughh getting nonstop Rafayel content.. I'm in bliss
