No because my previous neighbor was a "doesn't have shit together" white woman and her male dalmatian (she had two, one sweet girl and one feral man) literally had confirmed kills at the dog park and he wasn't euthanized or anything. like my dogs have been around probably over a hundred pits at this point because it was the most common breed in georgia. and the city where we lived was two-thirds black with us as the only non-black people in our neighborhood for at least a year - but we'd walk past guys who kept pits as personal guard dogs, and they were off-leash sometimes, but they were insanely well trained. i could never get my dogs to stop on a dime, but these dogs had jobs

and then you have like. people getting them as companions who don't exercise them. who dont understand the breed's strength. or who expect to just drop them off at the dog park with no training and no trouble, ignoring the dog's history (because yeah, in the south almost every pit is either 1 generation removed from a fighting dog or was itself fought with).

like...there's something to be said about cultural attitudes toward specific breeds and needing to respect what you're working with, and it really was not the white lady who half-heartedly apologized for her dog biting mine and then said "sorry i cant help pay for vet bills"
