How to Make Money with Your iPhone or Android Smartphone

Did you know that its possible to make a few extra bucks a day with your smart phone?

The key? Apps.

If you are quick with your fingers and can download a couple of apps a day, you can make money with this.

I enjoy this method because its easy. Easy money is something I (like most people) am very fond of, even if its just a couple of dollars at a time.

When it comes to downloading apps for profit, you can make a nice little side income for yourself if you go about it correctly. But make no mistake...you won't get rich downloading apps. What you will get is a couple of extra dollars that you didn't have to begin with, by doing something that takes very little time and effort. How much time? How much effort? That all depends on your work ethic.

If this concept appeals to you, keep reading. Outlined below is a list of all the Apps I currently use to generate a modest side income for myself:

Receipt Hog: If you can snap a picture of your grocery receipts, you can do this. Every time you take a picture of your receipts, you earn coins which are eventually redeemable for cash or (if you are a good Samaritan) a charitable donation to a charity of your choice. And as an added plus, you will also become eligible for additional rewards and coupons based on the items you regularly buy! Taking pictures of your receipts for Receipt Hog shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes a day, and depending on how often you shop, the coins can add up very quickly. Any personal information shared with Receipt Hog is completely anonymous and will not be shared with a third party. How much will you make per receipt? Starting out, you will make 10 coins per receipt, but once you have uploaded 10 receipts, you will begin earning 15 coins per receipt. Receipt Hog is a great way to kill time while also making a little extra money for yourself.

Receipt Hogs current cash out ratio is 1000 coins - $5.00. The more receipts you upload, they more you will earn per receipt, as pictured in figure 2 above. The highest level you can reach is "hog", which will earn you 25 coins per receipt. I am currently at this level and can honestly say that it took me about 3 weeks to make happen.

iPinion: Another great way to make money on your smartphone is by taking surveys. Ipinion is a great App for this. For every short survey you complete on your phone, you will earn participation points. These surveys are usually related to movies, music, technology, or specific research studies. 100 points on Ipinion translates to roughly $1, and all points can be redeemed for cash or giftcards.

In my experience, most surveys on iPinion average about 100 points (or a $1) each, but there have been occasions where a single survey has been good for 450 points or more. Thats roughly 4 dollars and 50 cents in exchange for a few minutes of your time. Catching these "high paying" surveys while they are still available can be tough though, which is why you should check the app a few times a day to stay on top of things.

AppTrailers: Make extra money with your iphone/android by watching trailers. Very easy. I just let them play while I'm busy with other stuff.

Tapbooty: Weird name, I know, but I really enjoy this one! Mostly because its easy and I feel like the money adds up fairly quickly. To begin making money with this App, visit tapbooty.com from your iphone (tapbooty is not available for android devices) and create an account. It will then log you into facebook, however it will not post or share anything. Once inside the App, press the "Booty Coins: 0" button and it will take you to the list of available offers. Install each offer, and bam = "booty coins". To convert them to cash via paypal or amazon, you have to play a game but it is fairly easy. The whole process seems weird, I know, but trust me you'll get the hang of it within a few minutes of using the App. The conversion rate is currently 100 points for every $1, but unlike some of the other methods detailed, you can cash out whenever you'd like. It is also very easy to accumulate points. I average about $5-$12 day using tapbooty.

Conclusion

At this point, you should have a pretty broad idea as to how you can make some extra cash with your phone.

Personally, I average about $20 a day on a good day just by tinkering around with apps and watching trailers. This may or may not be the case for you.

If you are someone that needs a price point in order to be inspired, lets say that starting out, $10 a day is definitely within reach if you dedicate at least an hour or two a day to this. Keep in mind though that this rate is only an example. If you only spend 10 minutes a day on this, then yeah, don't expect any major pay outs. Time = money.

The Beer Money Database: Make Extra Money Online

I decided to create this "database" after realizing how in the dark some people are when it comes to making extra money online. From what I've seen, most people either aren't aware that their computer (or laptop, or phone, or ipad) can be used as a money making tool, or they simply don't know how to begin. If you fall into the latter category, you have probably been exposed to one two many scams and not enough legit methods.

Which is where I come in.

A few years ago, I was a lot like you. I wanted to make some extra money online, but I had no real idea as to how to go about it. So I did what anyone would do. I googled it.

However, a simple "how to make money online" google search ended up being very counter productive, and like most newbies, I got frustrated fast. Then the discouragement set in.

What was I doing wrong? I was spending hours behind my computer, researching methods, attempting to execute them...and ultimately failing. I'm ashamed to admit that I even pulled out my credit card a few times, which is something you should seldom (if ever) have to do.

If this sounds like you, I think this blog (or database, or whatever you want to call it) will help.

Here I will share all of the online money making techniques that have worked for me, along with a few that you should probably avoid.

Why am I doing this? Because I believe in sharing the love. If a method has worked for me, you should be able to benefit from it too. I understand what its like to struggle, especially as a young person, so when I find a legit method that works for me, I dont see any harm in sharing it. I'm not an expert - I only know what has worked for me and what hasn't.

The only thing I want you to know before getting started is that I make NO promises. You will probably NOT get rich from any of these methods. In fact, you might make VERY little starting out. But will you make enough to buy a case of beer or two? Or pay your phone bill? Sure. Those are realistic goals for a dedicated newbie.

However - will you make enough to quit your day job?

Probably not, at least not right off the bat.
