Anyone else, Bobby thinks, and they’d be happy to have a – not quiet, Bobby won’t even think the word – but slow day at work. But other people don’t work with Buck Buckley. 

Bobby’s tried everything. He’s put him on laundry duty, he’s had him shine the engines – twice – and still Buck just keeps coming back. Like a blonde boomerang. Bobby had managed about half an hour’s peace to get started on lunch before Buck came bounding back into the kitchen again, staring at him with big, hopeful eyes, whining about being hungry from all the manual labour he’s had to do. Bobby has never said he isn’t a little weak for Buck’s kicked-puppy routine, so: olives. 

“Gay Michael’s coming over for dinner tonight,” Bobby says conversationally, sliding a bowl of olives over to Buck. 

Buck catches the bowl, and then freezes, eyes widening. “Gay… Michael? Since when do you call Michael Gay Michael?” 

Ah. Well. 

“It just slipped out,” Bobby admits. “I don’t usually.” 

Buck’s eyebrows furrow, something like quiet devastation falling onto his face. “Cap, are— are you homophobic?” 

At this, Bobby startles. “What? No. Gay Michael is my best friend.”

buck in season 2 with the hindsight of knowing he is 100% for sure confirmed bisexual is like. Insane. like this is a man who is flailingggggg he is in the most desperate pathetic rebound phase the world has ever seen. he is sad and soggy and alone. he is getting so horny over his new coworker’s abs that he tries to beat him up about it. and then he finds out this hot guy has a kid and literally trips over his own feet to yell about how much he loves kids too and it’s like. Since When buck 😭 literally since when do you love kids!!!!!! like sure NOW i know you love kids but until this moment have you ever even cared about kids? and then before maddie even meets eddie for the first time, buck has already blabbered about him so much that she’s like “you have a crush on him.” out loud, she says that on screen to his face. and buck just blushes and laughs. and then she DOES meet eddie and buck immediately puts his foot in his mouth by word vomiting about how hot eddie is the second eddie and chim are out of earshot. and then eddie and shannon start sleeping together again and buck is so fixated on it he talks about it to everyone. and peeks over eddie’s shoulder when he’s facetiming her. and complains to chimney about it. and while this is going on they get mistaken for a married couple when they’re out together with chris, and buck just smiles and says thank you. meanwhile he tries hooking up with taylor and is like ehhhhhhhh idk i’m just not feeling it. goes on like three dates with earthquake alli and is like no not this either. hm. and it’s like buck. this is humiliating behavior. please stand up.

Thinking if they go down the "let Buck fuck" coping mechanism for his El Paso spiral I really need a scene where Eddie lets himself into the loft one morning to be faced with some random person in the kitchen in their underwear and there's a super awkward moment where they just both glitch before Buck comes barreling down the stairs tucking his shirt in and is all, oh, did you need something and Eddie is like, no, just dropping a box of your stuff off from the house and gets out of there as fast as he can because he does not want to see this For Reasons and rando is all sympathetic, like, wow, THAT'S the guy you just broke up with, no wonder you're heartbroken and Buck just blue screens.

Bonus if you see rando making their escape in an Uber and telling a friend on the phone, yeah he's cute and everything but he still has photos of his hot ex all over his fridge, so...🤷

I really need some comic misunderstanding hijinx in 8b because I like it when this show is a comedy.

honestly i am forever thinking about eddie answering his door to buck sweaty with no pants on like. there is no way in this world buck did not think eddie was jerking off. like, he's sat on that sofa drinking his beer and puts two and two together and is like. wait a goddamn minute. whips his head around to look at eddie like. uhhhhh. did you answer the door to me mid—*does a hand gesture* and eddie just. bursts out laughing. and buck's like. it's not funny eddie! i'm so sorry. i mean, you answered the door though, so. but. did you even get to—you know? and eddie who is high on joy right now grins and is like, casually. why? you offering to help? and buck's brain bluescreens. and he's like. no!!!!!! i mean, not no. not—not that i wouldn't if, uh. that's what you need? i would. help. if you wanted me to. and now eddie's brain is bluescreening. and they're staring at each other. charged. for what feels like forever and buck could swear they're closer now but he can't remember which one of them moved. maybe both of them? and eddie says softly, dancing, buck. i was dancing. and buck says, oh. and eddie kisses him.

I want an Athena plotline based on her canonical activity on stan twitter where one of her oomfs goes silent on twitter the day of the series finale after weeks of weird cryptic tweets and Athena has to go around convincing people that they have to look for oomfie and outing herself as being on stan twitter in the process.
