'Cause you know, he's probably not that cool, right? He's just kind of cool relative to you.

tbh in retrospect i think bucktommy was the funniest relationship in the show. two grown men spend six months dating each other because they both really want to fuck some other guy but can't admit that this is the guy they'd rather be dating. the kind of behavior you might expect from like. the only two queer teens in a bigoted small town. not two men in los fucking angeles with whole ass careers. and mind you the whole time said other guy is completely unaware that this is going on and is just kinda thinking "my best friend and his boyfriend :) time to hang out with my best friend and his boyfriend :)" while carrying out an emotional affair with the doppelganger of his dead wife that will unbeknownst to him result in him spending a month living in el paso working as an uber driver.

why did they film the funeral so publicly and let his death leak? why were they signing fan autographs and taking goofy photos around the casket if they really were filming something so devastating? why the buried alive script? why did he die so quickly when chim held on so much longer? why work song? why did chim take the rat? why the wrath of khan references? why did oliver delete his goodbye? why did 911onabc delete their memorial vid? why did ryan never post anything serious? why were all the goodbyes posted after 8x15 instead after the actual goodbye episode? moreover, why spend most of 8x16 on a side plot featuring an empty casket so that only the last few minutes could actually be devoted to the funeral? why didn’t we - or the characters- ever see his body? why was he buried in minnesota? why did the cast have a hard time staying serious and not smiling when talking about it? why did angela say to keep hope alive? why is this the moment they decided to play the realism card? why was tim able to make this apparently 100% creative decision and basically fire peter? why have they not treated this with the care and gravity befitting such a massive shakeup to the very nature of their show? why was there so much ambiguity? why why why.
