              Thank the gods that she is of no meek or simple strength.               It's because of this that the Hōgyoku can entrust her to move his vessels at any time, regardless of shape or capacity, should he fall into a deep sleep at an inconvenient time, in an unseemly, uncomfortable place.               From time-to-time, he's come to rest beside her when she works, and he often drifts into a deep slumber by the time she's completed her tasks. But she's able to hoist him up easily, and she's able to move his body in the manner of a formal bridal carry that allows him to stay at rest, rather than moving him in unseemly fashion simply for the convenience of burden.               Besides, he's able to rest his head on her shoulder this way, and it's easy--natural to do so.

              The Hōgyoku's rest stays peaceful and content.               Undisturbed from the restorative place that he's only able to inhabit when protected, and entrusting of a sanctuary that allows him to evoke a state of unaware helplessness. But she is a goddess, even in this place - this restrictive realm that exists interwoven in the shallow heavens.               It's to their chamber that he finds placement when she lays him down, and it's by her side that he continues to keep dormant and unwaning. No less, his body gravitates to her, and he comes to embrace her round the waist when his vessel detects her weight alongside him. Soon, he's even curling into her, nuzzling what he can reach with the crest of his head, then his forehead thereafter.               He adores her, even in his sleep...

The man before her, dressed in what amounts to be rags and simply points.

She looks at him, face devoid of emotion. One well defined eyebrow raises. She knows that he expects to be catered to...and eventually she even may.

Shutara shifts her weight, gaze boring into him, hoping that he feels the weight of her condescension.

"I'm sorry, did you need something?" she asks.

Playful, her smile comes back, predatory, incisive.

"The original cloth of your outfit looks good, but it seems that you ought to fire whomever made your alterations."

[ BARE ]:          as they get undressed, the sender gently places a soft, tender kiss against the receiver’s bare shoulder. [ for Shutara ~ ]

Her kimono lays on the floor now. She's stripped it off, and the moonlight illuminates the lines of her body, the graceful and refined bone, shadows cast by it and the muscles that attach. Fabric is art, as is its dressing and removal, and just like any other moment, she's planned for spectacle.

She feels his kiss at her shoulder and she turns her head to gaze at him.

"It's funny, and perhaps it's as if it was spoken at another time, in another life."

Her eyes beam with her love.

"But I'm glad that we have so many connections, mind and spirit. After all...this skin separates you from me...this skin gets in the way."
