47% of our daily thoughts are either focused on things we did in the past or worries we have about our future. This is the statistic that fuels my thoughts, to remain in the present.

Shattered pieces.
How do you come out of a relationship not damaged? I spoke to a girl tonight who came out of a 4 year relationship and she told me it ended because she wanted to move overseas and he didn't and she was ok with that. It ended on good terms and she thinks that one day she'll be able to get back together with him.
My question is, is she in denial or is she really ok with it all? And if she is, does that mean she never really felt that deep, passionate, crazy in love feeling with that person? That crazy love where you know there is no way you can live without them? After coming out of a 6 year relationship myself and not ever feeling the amount of heart breaking pain that I experience through the break up, I cannot understand this mentality.
It's been 6 months and I am still holding onto a bit of denial and a lot of hatred toward this boy, who broke my heart and shattered my world. To think that I will ever be ok to date again or even love again is the hardest, most foreign thought in my mind. So i will wait for that day when I will no longer be broken. But don't hold your breath.

Quarter Life - Crisis or Blessing?
When I was 25, I ended my relationship, quit my job, bought a one way ticket and moved to London. I went through and am going through the most emotional roller coaster OF. MY. LIFE! Perhaps it's based around the quarter of a century figure that puts you through the washer and hangs you out to dry. At 25, we all become little pegs dangling on a clothes line waiting to either fall or be gently taken down. It's the age where so many of us reach a cross road - to either make some life changing decisions for our future or to hold onto the fun and recklessness of our early twenties for a little while more. So here I am in London trying embrace my future and stay in Nevereverland at the same time. Wish me luck!
