It is with a heavy heart that I come to announce this, but: If you're apart of the Tumblr decor/art/gfx/edit/resources community, it is possible that your work is being reposted in a Discord server that condones with extremist harmful hate groups, abuse of artists and graphic designers and the devaluing of their works, promotion of scam schemes, support of underage extreme labour, lack of digital safety and protection for minors, grooming and psychologically abusing vulnerable minors and much more. How do you make the text into gradient colours?😯

Hello anon! ^^/ It is pretty simple, actually :D

First, you will have to have a specific pallete in mind (at least I do that first), and then, you will have to find a site that turns gradient text to html code! I use this one but if you find something else that works better for you, it is fine too :D!

You will need to log into Tumblr on a desktop or on the browser of your mobile device and check the option of view the page as a desktop version. This option is available in most browsers so your probably has too :]

Now, when you create a new post, you will click on this tool on the top right corner of the post

And you'll scroll until you find "Editor Text", there you'll change from rich text (this comes by default) to html

The top of the post will look like this:

Now, back to the site, you will type the text you want to be colored, put the gradient you want for the text and click on Generate Color Faded Text. Next, you are going to copy all the code from the color code box

Paste on the HTML tab of the post and done!!!

I also highly recommend you to mess a little bit with the configurations of the site and find something that really like! :] I like using this site even to decorate the titles of my fanfictions on google docs! (and I'm pretty sure you can use on ao3 too? Just don't really know how)

I just advise that you use it sparingly -- don't use for the whole text, it gets a little bit hard to read depending on the configurations of the person for the site!

I'm so tired. It's 2025 why are non asians still using our culture as an aesthetic trend. For clarification I'm part of the mogai/liom community, I make terms so this isn't a mogai is bad post. This is a why are multiple people in editblr and mogaiblr casually racist and fine with it.

Why do people in those communities insist using Japanese names are perfectly fine when 9/10 times they just use it because of anime/manga or trends. Not even bothering to pronounce it right or use the proper spelling like removing ō's ū's etc for convenience. So many times I see an anime or asian game blow up then suddenly a ton of non asians are using the names. When the next thing blows up they use new names or use both. They put our language in typing quirks, they put our language in fonts, they make fun of our language by shouting phrases they don't even know the meaning of.

That's not even mentioning how many non asians fetishize us. Don't see us as human. I'm mixed, I have 2 asian backgrounds and a native american background but my japanese one is the focus of this. I've had so many people go "you must look so pretty/hot" the moment they learn I'm japanese. I've had people start saying random japanese words or anime references at me as if I'm just an anime boy to gock at. God forbid a japanese person happens to share a name with a character that gets popular cause that's all they hear. "Omg like from that anime/game!! You must be a huge fan! You're like anime irl!!" Even if the person hasn't even seen the media. I've been called irl yaoi and yuri, I've been called irl futanari (Japanese word for the intersex slur) by both strangers and FELLOW mogaiblr and editblr people. I've had people refuse to use the kanji versions of my names cause they're too lazy to ask how to say it. I've had people get mad when telling them they aren't pronouncing a name right. Especially when it's a name they're using. They don't even bother to say it right. I've had people become my friend just to ask me to "gift" them asian names both irl and in the communities.

It's so obvious the communities just see us as an accessory. Especially when it's mainly the "pretty pale" asian cultures being used. I rarely see people doing this with cultures where people aren't seen as pale. Why? Are you scared to touch people with darker skin tones? Only the pastel soft ones fit what you want? Is a name from those other places dirty or not pretty enough for you? Also this isn't to say people don't steal from those cultures too. They do and it's an issue but the people who take from Japanese culture often ignore the others as if it's the plague.

I also feel the need to point out that there ARE contexts in my culture where non asians take on asian names. That's when they move to the country and are actually participating in the culture + learning the language to use there. Not just using as a pretty aesthetic. But most people in these communities aren't doing that. So.

I know I practically abandoned this blog but can non-asians stop using asian names??? Or even just names from a culture you are not apart of. I am SICK AND TIRED of seeing people called yuki or whatever and being white as hell like for the love of god USE A DIFFERENT NAME!!!! Its not that hard to just choose a name from an open culture or a culture you are from. Like I'm sorry to say this, but if you do this you are racist! You are actively choosing to use a name that has cultural significance and use it cause its "kAwaiI 🥺🥺🥺" or whatever. Anyways askbox is open to hate from people who hate to admit that they're wrong ✌️✌️✌️

Idk if this makes sense but my point is use names that are from your culture(s) ✌️✌️

regarding this and this (i'm sorry to those who had their work reposted & reo & other artists who've had their work stolen)

tumblr doomscrollers (mainly targeted at editblr and the art community), if a creator explicitly states they don't want their work being reposted on other platforms without permission, then listen to them. do not go ahead and save images from here then paste them onto other social spaces without the creator's knowledge! it can be deleterious to the people who dedicated their time and effort to their designs since reposters may get more attention and likes than the original producer. events like these have occured on other platforms, and some reactions have involved the creator losing motivation and / or quitting as well as unnecessary drama occuring within communities.

if you stumble across something you like and want to share, please, contact the original poster and politely ask if you can post their work on another platform. make sure to always add credit to the OP when you do repost work.

if you encounter reposted work on another platform or account with little to no credit OR unconfirmed permission to post, go ahead, (try to find and) contact the initial creator. double check with them to make sure they're aware that their work is being posted onto other platforms. if you can't contact the actual editor, or if you know they don't want their work being reposted, please ask the reposter to add credit / take the reposted work down.

if someone reposts YOUR own work with zero permission and you happen to find it, try to negotiate with them calmly about what you want your work to be used for and whatnot. it may be frustrating to see the creations you form being slapped onto some other creator's profile, coming from experience, but initiating a rude approach and beholding aggressive manner when conversing with the reposter is quite inhumane. of course, if needed, you can try and be stern to get your point across, but don't blatantly spam out "bitch" "(slurs)" "keys / kys / kill yourself" to the reposter. after all, behind that screen is another human being.

IN SHORT,

please consider how the work you repost will affect the original creator of that piece of work. always ask them for permission to repost it and credit them when you do get permission to repost their work.

if there is a reposter of someone relative to you's work or your work, always attempt to craft a solution with a mature approach— be the bigger person.

everyone deserves to get credit for their own creations, and those creators have the right to refuse any modifications, remakes, or reposts to their work.

Hihi! No worries, we'll try our best to explain it~☆

a 'promo' (promotion) is sorta like a combination of an introduction and an ad for your blog, and its mostly to help your blog get seen by people / gain traction! a lot of people will tag popular editblr accounts in their promo post since if they reblog it, it'll have more reach than tagging nobody. I know some people include a few examples of their work/edits, but not all of them do, so that sorta extra stuff is moreso personal preference i think :)

also, an important thing or two to add to a promo post might be things like what fandoms you edit for and what kind of edits you make (tumblr/discord layouts, rentry stuff, etc etc the usual editblr stuff) , but this is just going based off of what we've seen around since we havent posted a promo post ourselves lol.

anyhow, i hope this is helps in someway! hopefully i explained it okay enough lol :]

i hope tumblr fixes itself soon because the content label shit is going crazy and i really see no reason for it happening besides the bot going fucking crazy.

Ive had 2 of my posts labeled as mature content for no reason, the first one is because of one of my dividers which i still don't get by the way, i didn't put any knife, blood, violent or nsfw imagery in the divider.

and now... the brownies. what's so mature about brownies tumblr? is the gooey chocolate insides and the fudgy brownies, with crunchy toppings too much for your bot? is it? IS IT REALLY ????
