Watched Bound for Glory

I watched Impact/GFW/...Er whoever they are now’s biggest event of the year to see Gail Kim’s last match. Some thoughts:

-They would have been better off staying in the Impact Zone. When a Canadian crowd is that dead all night, you have a telltale sign you’re doing something very wrong.

-The attempted oVe/LAX double turn was a massive fail. The crowd didn’t care who Sami was. oVe works in the Indy’s but has not translated to Impact.

-Why build Desmond Xavier just to have Lee retain ?

-Rosemary is a rockstar. Her new look is sensational, her dedication to character is fantastic and she can wrestler her ass off. It’s tragic her talent isn’t being utilized somewhere better. This is who Sister Abigail was meant to be.

-FUCK everyone involved with this show for giving Gail Kim 4 seconds to celebrate her last match before cutting away. Classless farewell from the company.

-Alberto Patron did not come across like a big star tonight. He came across like a Vince Russo creation from the Nitro years. This man doesn’t deserve to main event anywhere

-The main event was bad. Sorry if you paid $40 for this tragedy

There’s no sugarcoating it....Summerslam was a very poor PPV. I’m a life long WWE diehard, but it’s hard to care when WWE uses their second biggest event of the year to such lackluster degree. A few things that immediately jump out at me: The Hardy’s left Impact to wrestle in front an Impact Zone sized number of fans.. Big Cass push is an failure so far. At no point should WWE ever put him in a ring with Big Show again. Enzo Amore May have heat...he certainly doesn’t seem to have a bright future in WWE. John Cena wrestled a house show match tonight. Baron Corbin must have pissed in someone’s Cheerios. I’d rather see him move back to NXT then get jobbed out in such a bad match. WWE would have no need for part time stars if. Eh stopped burying the talent they have. There’s ZERO reason for Rusev to be buried that badly. Randy Orton doesn’t seem to have any fire left. Maybe no top star has been booked worse in 2017. I’m happy for Sasha Banks, but only if this leads to heel turn and match with Bayley down the line. Nakamura was sacrificed to keep the Mahal experiment going. Proof positive no matter how big you are before you get to WWE, you’re nothing if they don’t have faith in you. The Tag Team Title marches were both great. The Usos and New Day just work seemlessly together. WWE continue to get one thing right....Braun Strowman. The man is booked well and is a believable monster. Lesnar vs Braun feels inevitable and should be straight fire. Kevin Owens should be main eventing, not standing in line to be the next guy to take a crazy Shane McMahon gimmick match bump. The only acceptable redemption for Nakamura now is a blow off match with Mahal and then a feud with AJ Styles. WWE needs this match to make Nakamura the true star he should be

It’s things like this that make Tetsuya Naito the most fascinating wrestler on earth. A heel that cares about nothing taking a moment to be there for his LIJ teammate. Everything this man does adds depth to his character

The photo of Paige from Ireland with Alberto is disturbing. I won’t post it , as I don’t want to promote or glamorize it too much. However, I sincerely hope in light of everything that has happened in the last year that Paige, as a person is doing ok. Forget wrestling, I hope she’s finding happiness in life. If not, I hope she’s at least on the path to wellness

Paige has come out denying any acts of violence were committed against her, and has stated it was she that was the aggressor. While this is no better or worse, I will continue to support standwithpaige for the message it conveys that domestic violence of any sort is wrong. As my thoughts on this continue to develop, I hope that both she and Alberto find themselves in a happy and healthy place and seek help if needed.

Every time I read something new about Alberto El Patron, it leads me to believe more and more that he is not someone that deserves the respect of fans, or the opportunities he’s consistently been given by WWE, GFW and LU. Domestic violence on any level is never ok. I hope for his sake he gets help, it seems more and more he’s in need of it. Here’s hoping Paige isn’t suffering through a toxic marriage after already suffering so much
