I haven't been able to study much for the medical residency exam, but I'm doing my best.

The new and tiring internships, the social life that needs to exist, college demands like organizing graduation and exams.

Anyway, in life we ​​do many things at the same time.

P.S.: Today I witnessed a cardiovascular surgery to replace an aortic valve. It was replaced with a mechanical valve. Very exciting!

Week 22, Sunday, June 15, 2025 👯🏻‍♀️

I handed in my work on gastroesophageal reflux disease at the end of the week, everything went well and I felt a great relief after presenting it.

I took advantage of yesterday being my day off to sleep and do questions for the residency exam, it was very productive.

Today I had day shifts, as my friend was also on duty, it was much better with her company. In fact, in the second photo, it's me and her at the end of the shift. It's great to have a personal friend to share these moments with.

P.S.: The day I took the first photo, it was very pleasant, a cold 18°C ​​and the sky practically without any clouds.

The weeks are passing by so quickly that I don't even notice it.

However, I'm managing to study and catch up on the material for my residency.

Now I'm prioritizing a presentation and written work for my surgery internship on gastroesophageal reflux disease.

Life is like that, everything happens at the same time, I have to get used to it.

This week I had classes on stomach diseases and inflammatory bowel diseases. It was very interesting.

Regarding the material I missed, I'm gradually catching up. It's great to complete the tasks and see my schedule getting organized.

Week 19, Sunday, May 25, 2025 🔪

I am currently in the Clinical Surgery internship, working several day and night shifts in the ward and emergency room. I am not very interested in surgery, but I think it is important to have contact with all areas.

During my residency course, I am studying Gynecology and esophageal diseases.

Week 18, Monday, May 19, 2025 💚

I'm managing to catch up on the material little by little, very little by little. The internship activities take up my time and energy, I don't have as much time as I would like to study.

But I just need to organize my routine more and follow the plan and I'll be able to do it.

Week 17, Monday, May 12, 2025 🚗

I organized my schedule and I'm ready to catch up on the material. All that's left is to follow the plan. The hardest task, I'd say.

I just wanted to sleep 12 hours straight. Actually, I really wanted to sleep 9 hours every night, but being in medical internship and taking a residency course doesn't help.

Anyway, I've already gone back home and got back into my routine. I like routine, in fact I prefer it to having a different schedule every week. Patience, it's just phases of life. It will pass.

Week 16, Sunday, May 4, 2025 🙏🏻

I'm officially behind on my studies.

In addition to the tough workload of the internship, there was the Labor Day holiday, so I traveled with my family. The content that was already pending fell even further behind. But I have faith that I'll be able to catch up and review the material.

P.S.: They said that the internship I'm doing now was easy, but I think they fooled me because that's not what I think.

Week 15, Sunday, April 27, 2025 ✂️

It's hard to study and review the subjects. I'm very tired because I'm not getting enough sleep, having to be at the hospital at 7 in the morning is exhausting me, and the lack of routine is also a problem. They said that the Surgical Clinic would be more peaceful, but that's not what I'm seeing.

But it will get better. It's harder at first, but over time I'll get the hang of it. We have to have faith!
