we know by know that hyungwon means what he says but he also has around seventeen hidden meanings tucked into that as well, and sometimes it’s really hard to figure out what he’s saying. but i trust him. i have no reason to doubt. he knows more than we do, and whatever he’s apologizing for, i don’t think it’s for upsetting people who hate his best friend. i… really don’t think it’s that.

even if it is (this is highly unlikely i think), he was worn down. personally attacked. people were calling him a criminal and his face wasn’t even seen in the photos. we know they read hurtful comments. it’s a human fault; to see only the negative in a sea of positive. plus, there was a large amount of negative posts when he was on, and he scrolled for hours and hours… leave him be.

whatever he was apologizing for, i assure you it was not for hanging out with hoseok. stop acting like it was. he was not apologizing for being with his family, he never would. it’s a tad bit offensive to insinuate that he would. hyungwon stands tall for his brothers. he’s their pillar. he comforts them, supports them, listens to them. and he loves them, so dearly, more than we do. don’t try to dissect his feelings and then demonize him for something he never said. and he was obviously hurting; don’t say you’re disappointed in him, either. hyungwon is strong. he’s been so strong for us, so kind to us, trying to get us through this. he was the one that interacted with ot7 things before wonho was even clear. he was the one that was tiptoeing around it, softly reassuring us that things would get better. he’s doing it again, now. he’s doing it for you. he’s doing it for you, don’t trample his feelings and ignore his heart like that.

if i can put a little bit of a tinfoil hat on: hyungwon didn’t really seem like he was succumbing to the ot6ers? really, he seemed kind of defiant, in his soft-spoken but strong way. some have said his response mirrored the fc staff saying sorry for not addressing the ot6 spam. others have said that him asking us to watch over them was him asking us to continue to help them combat the rumors and attacks.

but most of all, hyungwon told us that fancafe was a place for monsta x and monbebe. and, even after all the fifth gen applications, hoseok is still there. fancafe is still laden with him, with all of his love and affection still pressed deep. if fancafe is a place for monsta x… and hoseok is still there… 

well, i won’t say anything explicitly. but it was a distinction. between us and those who’ve hurt them. those who don’t stand for all of them. 

and to inch further on the limb i have settled on: it sounds almost like a vow. it’s our place, our safe space. it’s supposed to be safe. the people that jeopardize that for no good reason… hyungwon wouldn’t give a voice to them. he keeps his heart guarded to those who don’t deserve it. and for some reason, he’s given it to us.

amazing, i think. 

monsta x has been under immense pressure for six months straight. and yet, they’ve stayed every bit their loving and wonderful selves, constantly comforting us when it was them that needed the comfort. hyungwon, lovely, gentle, kindhearted hyungwon — he knows what he’s doing.

so let’s just support them. they ask us for our support. that’s all they ask. it means the world to them. let’s assume the best. let’s continue to have faith in them. whatever is meant to be shall be… and a bond like theirs can’t be broken by tantrums and falsehoods. they’re family. they’re brothers.

they’re hyungwon’s brothers. and hyungwon’s love is powerful — you know he’ll fight for it. put himself on the line for it. he’ll defend it with everything he has, take on others’ burdens because of it, hang on tight because of it. 

our love is powerful too, you know. give him some of it, today. i hope, one day, that it’ll be as profound and wholehearted as his.

WONHO BIRTHDAY PROJECT!

This Valentine’s Day, Monsta X will be releasing their new English album! In honor of both All About Luv and the boys, I’ve created this project for everyone to participate in whether they be on twitter, tumblr, pinterest, fc, facebook, etc.

Goal: Show your luv for MX through fan art, written works, video edits, photo edits, simple (or long) posts, letters, etc. - the medium is completely your choice! Post however much you want, but please keep in mind that when doing so to please utilize #ALLABOUTMX and #ALLABOUTLUV for the tags if the platform you’re using has a tagging system. If the platform doesn’t have a tagging system, then in your title or statement, please include All About MX somewhere in your submission!

Guidelines: I want everyone to have artistic freedom for this project, but I still need to place a few rules in place.

Please do NOT use the project for, or including, any of the following:

NSFW content

Racial, religious, gender, or sexual discrimination

Boycotts/Aggression

Plagiarized work (this includes stealing other people’s edits/written works from their profiles and re-posting them as your own)

OT6’ers and antis (do not interact at all)

Utilizing the project to incite panic, fear, toxicity, pessimism, fan wars, and so forth will not be tolerated.

alstroemeria (or peruvian lilies) represent devotion and the twists and turns of friendship. do you know how loved you are? for someone to keep working for you like this, to get strength from you like this, to open themselves up for you like this. (a thought from the lovely fern, @essoontial: just by getting on stage, they’re fighting. and they’re not just fighting for relevancy and popularity and awards, they’re fighting to keep us.) do you know how much love that takes?

a lot of us have become… a tad bitter, maybe a bit jaded. and i understand that, because this is hard, this is so hard. but, really, this is harder for mx. they shared every second of almost every day with our beloved hoseok, they lived with him, they cried with him, they were there when all of this happened. and yet, they haven’t succumbed to the situation. they’re still fighting to stay afloat, for their sake, but also for us. it would be so easy to give up, so easy to not give it their all, and yet here they are, trying their best to make us happy. trying their best to keep smiles on our faces. trying their best to talk to us. giving us their hearts. i think it’s amazing. i think they’re amazing.

they’re always checking on us, always doting on us, playing with us, looking at us with some of the most adoring expressions i’ve ever seen. we are their safe space, their place to find comfort and happiness and love. they’ve said that we are their energy, that we’ve taught them what love is, that we’re one of the most important things in their lives, that we’re precious, that they want to be with us for a long time. and they want to be our strength, our comfort, our protectors, our stability, our happiness, our friends. (when will they learn they already are?)

they want to make us feel comfortable and safe. they want us to have fun with them. they want their music and their words to ease our pain. always, they miss us more than we miss them, they care for us more than we care for them, they’ll be with us longer than we’ll be with them, they love us more than we love them. and really, i don’t doubt it anymore. they’ve kept us going. they’ve been doing everything they can to keep us above the water. they’ve been through trial after trial, and yet they refuse to crumble because they want to be strong for us.

do you know how loved you are? you are loved enough that they will admit that they’re in pain to us. they will admit that they’ve been struggling, that they need us. that they’ve felt burdened and want to do better. that they’ve made mistakes, that they will make mistakes, but that they hope we can cover it with our love. there is no great facade here. this is us, and this is them. this is our bond. this is who we are, and this is what we have. love so strong that it survives this. love so strong that it will continue, no matter what happens.

and friendship is a two sided ordeal. they’re pleading with us not to leave them, so don’t. please don’t. they need this, they need us. all you have to do is be here, and that’s enough. if there’s anything you can’t do, just know that being here is enough. them seeing your messages or your tweets or your posts or your letters or your faces, that’s our gift to them. keep them in mind. we have five active members of mx, and two inactive. seven. give them all love. they are all our friends. trust them. we have the best, most loving, most amazing friends in the world.

I’ve reached 1K followers on this blog! It’s honestly so insane because this is still a relatively new blog and I just became a true Monbebe shortly after Alligator was released. But since then I have met so many wonderful people that I am so glad to be moots and friends with. You all make my heart happy - each and every one of you. ♡
