All I wanted to do was come on here and enjoy pics and GIFs of The Idea of You movie that I loved so much. Yet there has to be a bunch of whiny bitches complaining about how it’s Harry Styles fanfiction. Who THE FUCK cares?! Just enjoy something for once in your small lives and quit ruining things for other people. Being butthurt over Harry Styles fanfic is ridiculous.

This day is always so funny to me, because Tumblr is celebrating star wars day and may the fourth be with you, etc. And meanwhile, in the Netherlands, it's 4 mei, dodenherdenking, Holocaust Remembrance Day and Remembrance of all civilians who died in WWII, and all the soldiers who died in word war 2 and in conflicts since then, at home and abroad

This this this this this!
The way that Rhys and Feyre is the most forced ass boring couple though??
It's only achievable in the narrative by completely and irrevocably twisting everything about the world and characters.
Examples:
-Tamlin's entire character needing to be re-conned, all of his romantic efforts towards Feyre needing to be refrained.
-Feyre has to loose all sexual and emotional agency. Suddenly, she isn't an empowered character but a damsel who can't communicate or express herself in meaningful ways - a man has to remind her that she has agency and empower her, because she's too broken to do it herself! But fret not! She's not too broken to be forced to reenact her own sexual assault! Turns out that Feyre was actually secretly into being drugged and dressed up in clothes that made her uncomfortable the whollllleeeee time!
-re the above: The retcon of Feyre's relationship with Nesta growing stronger, and how growing that bond and speaking with/trusting in her sister prompted Feyre to choose to sacrifice herself for love at the end of ACOTAR. Rhysand simply asserts that Tamlin and Nesta are bad people who never deserved the love of selfless, pure hearted Feyre and her response is basically "LOL you are SO right!"
- everything about Tarquin. Reread the passages in ACOMAF Summer Court again and give me one singular solitary reason why Tarquin isn't the ideal love interest for Feyre as a character. The narrative literally has to TALK FEYRE OUT OF considering him a valid romantic lead by saying that he could never "understand her darkness" which is about the stupidest statement i think any novel's protagonist has ever uttered.
- everything about Lucien, who put his life on the line and sacrificed his safety multiple times. He looses his inner fire and becomes the narrative punching bag so that the narrative can boldly claim that Feyre never had any REAL friends or REAL family until she met the Inner Circle (ie, Rhysand's friends and family).
-they don't even fall in love naturally but are drawn together as soulmates. Another point against Feyre having actual agency in the text.
Rhysand isn't even a good Partner. Hes just a mind reader with floppy dark hair and a tragic backstop to make you feel sorry for him.

ACOTAR series
I skipped right over ACOSAF and started ACOWAR and not even twenty pages in and I was OVER Rhysand completely and definitely over Feyre. I think Maas made a big mistake having Feyre be the narrator for all those books. I did read ACOSF and loved Nesta, and it just cemented my Feysand loathing. They are soooo self-righteous and sanctimonious.
And Rhysand as a feminist? Are you fucking kidding me?
Overall though, I think Maas is a subpar writer.

He is a psychopath.

AITA for dumping my sociopathic monster of a boyfriend?
Honestly, girl needs a restraining order and a shrink more than a Reddit account at this point.
That she is even having doubts is incredibly worrying itself and suggests what he did worked.

Ok so I’m finally making my way through the ACOTAR series and I need Elucien to happen. Is Elain going to get a book? Please don’t tell me this series ends with no resolution between them.
