Tennis time!

How can I play so well and so bad at the same time :(

First match that meant something I played awfully and lose 1-6 4-6

Then go on and play a match that meant nothing and win 6-2 6-0

It makes no sense, this is why I have trouble keeping my emotions in check :(

Its been a while

So its been a while since I last posted but no one probably reads these anyway. I have stated hitting more regularly with one of the performance squad members and its definitely helping. Had my service speed measured and got it up to 71mph :) im pretty happy I can hit a ball faster than the motorway speed limit.

Played a friendly and won in 3 sets out of 5 6-4 6-3 6-3. Great thing about this is that im really starting to see where I need to improve more which is good.

Im having a great time in my life and all because I can do something I love.

Gym fun

So today at the gym I realised something. As confident as I am in my body and my looks. Im still not happy with the way I am.

I dont know whether I will find true happiness in myself as there are always places to improve. And I dont know if anyone else feels the same, but thats one of my greatest motivations.

To know that there is something to improve and the belief that I can do it. What else do I really need to motivate me.

Highlight of my day

So Every tuesday I play tennis. And tonight the weather was ok so I played after 2 hours at the gym.

So straight to it, the score 0-6 5-7

I lost.

But its not all doom and gloom. My game has definitely improved from when I joined my tennis club 4 months ago. During matches I would always play safe and defensive which is good but also incredibly detrimental.

After losing the first set 0-6 I realised I needed to pick up my game and play more agressive. And thats what I did. The second set was going more my way however a couple of crappy lobs at 5-6 didn't help and I lost the match.

Its not all doom and gloom. I know I can play well I just need to be confident.

My coming out story!

So my family are the best thing to ever happen in life ever. I couldn't ask for better people to have in my life. They are so accepting and loving. My mother will always be the woman who has never let me down. My dad will always be the man who stands strong. My sister will always be the one i hug. My brothers will always be the ones to make me laugh.

Ever since i came out me and my family have been able to joke and laugh about it. They have never once made me feel ashamed to be who i am.

A while back i went shopping with my mother. She wanted some advice on clothes and who better than her not gay, gay son. Whilst paying for some clothes the Store Manager asked me out right if i was gay. i didn't know what to say since i was with my mum who i hadn't told but i wasn't going to lie so i said yes. we then proceeded to spend around 30 minutes discussing her gay son. when me and my mum got out of the shop the first sentence she says "so you will share more with her than you will with me" to which my response was "you never asked".

We had a chat and a laugh and then my mum turns to me and says "I've already told your Dad and your Nan" at that point all i could think was "Thanks mum, saves me having to tell them"

Now i know some people have trouble coming out and some feel too ashamed to do it. But the one thing i learnt was that, people will always react differently. But, nonetheless there will always be someone who will love you.

Luckily for me the people that loved me were the 5 most important people in my life.

So from me to my family, I Love You.
