Second Edition Xenogender Survey

Hello, tumblr! I am pleased to present our second edition of the xenogender survey, first held in 2023.

This survey is intended to be a detailed look at xenogender and neopronoun usage. As long as you identify as/with at least one (1) xenogender in any capacity, either solely or in addition to non-xenogender identities, you may participate in the survey!

Please take a moment to consider reblogging this even if you aren’t taking the survey, in order to increase our sample size!

There is no DNI or anything else that disqualifies takers as long as you identify with / as at least one xenogender, as this is intended for research purposes.

The survey will be ending on June 1, 2025.

People do not see masculinity as being as fluid and complex and nuanced as femininity and it’s annoying as hell. Because of patriarchy’s stranglehold on masculinity and radfem theory’s stranglehold on queer spaces, people really think with their whole heart that only femininity is subversive or experimental, or frankly, queer, and that masculinity is only a power grab and nothing more. I don't think I've seen anyone talk about how transfems are pretty much entirely barred from working in childcare.

If yall wanna talk about bathrooms and oppression - I'm a cis woman who can only use the men's bathroom or neutral bathrooms. Women's bathrooms are always a greater chance of assault and punishment because I am intersex. Men's bathrooms are safer every single time, despite men being the ones I'm afraid of if I use a women's restroom, possibly avenging their scared girlfriend or daughter. I've been living like this since 2017 and I've gotten serious UTIs and had screamcry meltdowns in my car over a lack of safe bathroom access.

I just saw a "well its harder for my trans group to use the wrong bathroom than your trans group" and the conversation 1. Sucks bc who is assaulted in bathrooms is any clocked gender diverse person and 2. Has zero consideration for intersex people per usual.

Bambi just reminded me of a time a guy made a tiktok showing off his knife and threatening to use it on me for... talking about how hard it is to use a bathroom while intersex. I'd forgotten entirely but they pointed out that I stopped using any public bathrooms for a while after that.

I'm sick of discourse that is disingenuous, selfish, special snowflake "I am the most oppressed" bullshit that entirely circles around my existence and the existences of all intersex people. Your discourse erases us! It's fucking wild!
