This is one of those things that keeps your twelve ounce beverage cold. One side says “MELT I.C.E.” and the other says “ICE ain’t cool.” Keep your beverage chill and your politics fire.
We will resist, dismantle, and abolish ICE. We will not let America’s children inherit a deportation roundup government agency. Cheers!
Available for $3 or $13 at https://benwildflower.com/products/melt-ice-coozie.
If you pay the full $13 I will donate $10 to some organization/person/collective resisting the horrors being carried out by CBP/DHS/ICE/other fascists. Or you can just donate $10 yer own dang self and only pay $3. Don’t send me messages asking if whatever you donated to counts. I’m not a cop. Let your conscience be your guide.

In the 4th chapter of Luke’s gospel, Jesus gets up in the synagogue to read from the Scriptures. He said, “The spirit of God is on me and has told me to give good news to the impoverished, release the incarcerated, recover the sight of the blind, and release the oppressed.”
He put down the scroll and said “Today this is fulfilled,” and then a mob tried to throw him off a cliff.
I made some prints of angels and demons to illustrate those good old time religion promises.

https://benwildflower.com/products/jubilee-crossThis piece was created as a commission for Jubilee Baptist Church, an explicitly anti-capitalist congregation working together to free each other from debt.
My hope was that anyone familiar with the San Damiano cross and the Catholic Worker’s masthead would immediately see the (blunt, explicit) echoes of those in this print. The story goes that Jesus said to St Francis, “Rebuild my church,” from the San Damiano cross, which I copied the overall shape of this for. I thought that was fitting since Jubilee Baptist is both a replanting of an old congregation and an attempt to breathe fresh life into a tradition in need of rebuilding.
I chose the text because I like the good news for workers (like me!) I think just about anybody can relate to being weary and heavy laden and my hope is that the meeting place where people see this every week is a place they get to lay those burdens down.
One of the taglines the leaders of this church have settled on is Worship/ Gather/ Struggle/ Liberate. I chose to add the bread and wine, Pentecost spirit flame dove, fists raised in solidarity, and broken shackles to represent the four of those respectively at the four corners of the cross.
Workers of the world, Jesus loves you.

Damn Right I’ll Rise Again, 2019
Tiny little text etched into her neck it said "Jesus lived and died for all your sins." She's got blue black ink and it's scratched into her lower back. It said: "damn right I'll rise again." Yeah, damn right you'll rise again. -The Hold Steady

Recently finished this commissioned little piece for someone who wanted an illustration of this bizarre little Bible story: Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray always and not to lose heart. He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor had respect for people. In that city there was a widow who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Grant me justice against my opponent.’ For a while he refused; but later he said to himself, ‘Though I have no fear of God and no respect for anyone, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will grant her justice, so that she may not wear me out by continually coming.’”
Like most of my reflections on Biblical passages it’s absurdly literal.

"What's on your shirt?"
"It's a wolf in sheep's clothing carrying an American flag and stomping on the cross."
"Damn."
This could be a conversation you have. All you have to do is buy this shirt.

The most environmentally friendly diet is to simply eat a Fortune 500 CEO. Help make this the new fad diet by wearing this money-colored shirt.
I first carved this made up mythical beast and entirely real villain in a block of linoleum. Now it's screen printed on a shirt. It's pretty soft. It's cotton, just like dollar bills. You could trade me a piece of cotton money which you can't even wear and has a picture of a genocidal maniac on it for this shirt which has a funny made up critter on it. Gimme your ugly Andrew Jacksons. I'll give you nice shirts.
Also available as a print!

Capitalists provide nothing of value to society yet they get to deprive you of shelter and food if you don't do as they say for hours and hours everyday. This concludes my performance review of bosses. Fire them. Sincerely, me.

I made this woodcut in 2016. Then I moved overseas for a couple years and the block got misplaced forever, probably thrown away. Then I took one of the originals that has lots of fun excess wood grain overprinting and had it professionally scanned and printed at a high resolution and printed on 100lb cover stock. They look nice I think. 12 dollars. Free shipping in the US.
