kou has no fucking clue what he's doing - really, he has no clue at all. if anything, he has no idea how he's even gotten this far in sr media. at this point he's a senior trainee of sorts, so he should at the very least be able to help seira... right? he glances at the video and then at seira. her puppy eyes, her look for help. right. kou needs to be a good senior, and even though seira's older than him, he should be a good older brother figure. "i think we can watch it at 0.5x speed here..." he says, gently reaching out for the device. this time he focuses more on the movement, specifically the portion seira had pointed out and his eyes lock in. "okay, i think... the movement goes like this. your feet..." he makes a small movement, similar to that in the video, "move like this, i think...?" though in truth, kou isn't so sure himself. "and then uhm... am i doing this right?" he asks. what had originally been seira asking for help, has now turned into kou asking for seira's help.
how the hell seira sucked so bad at dancing was a mystery. she hadn’t just been a trainee before, she’d been an idol before as well. debuted before, yet she was struggling like hell with dance, always asking for help and always making mistakes. seira was aware that the first time she debuted she wasn’t very talented at anything you needed to be talented at for being an idol, but she was going to make sure that next time she debuted, she deserved it.
seira looks at kou as he does the moves, head tilted to the side as everything he’s doing is just confusing her even more. “isn’t it like this?” and now she attempts doing it “and then like this?” she looks up at kou, once again being the one to ask questions. “why does it feel like we’re dumb and dumber right now” she sighs, follows it by shaking her head. “i’d say let’s try watching the video again… we’ll figure it out together… i hope…”.

"seira, i'll be sure to remember next time," hyeran nods, thankful that she hadn't forgotten the other girls name. "which one do you prefer?" her head tilts as she asks the other girl the question. "seira isn't hard to pronounce, i promise," she says with a laugh. "but, i'll call you whatever you'd prefer! how does that sound?" "i think it's very interesting," she admits with a soft smile. "that's why i signed up for it! it's different than what we learn daily, you know?" hyeran muses. "i think a lot of us weren't around when first generation idols debuted, so it's interesting to learn about the history of music and how kpop became what it is today," she says. "a global sensation, as a lot of our coaches like to call it," the trainee chuckles.
“i’ll be sure to remember your name as well then” she smiles to the other. “i like both honestly” she shrugs “most people call me seira, but it’s fun being called something else sometimes”. truly, seira preferred her old stage name over sunah and seira, but it felt weird to ask anyone to call her that, she can only hope if she manages to debut again she’ll be allowed to pick up her old stage name. “you can call me whatever, or switch between them” she hums “i’m fine with nicknames too, if you can come up with one”.
“i’m finding it hard to concentrate and focus, but i had the same problem when i was a student” she pouts “but this feels like something i should know”. “growing up in japan, i knew about kpop, i just didn’t listen to it a lot” she shrugs “so i don’t really know the other groups… but if i debuted again, it’d made sense to know about the old groups as well?”. “do you have a favourite kpop group?”.

bexstevie
stevie hums at the information seira reveals, nodding his head. truthfully, outside of the few times he's messed around with a keyboard while joomi's been around, stevie hasn't practiced a lick of piano. instruments and learning the intricacies to it has never been something stevie was interested in. he's always had tough luck with it, and no patience or motivation to continue. "two years is still a long time to learn stuff." stevie points out, smiling widely as his feet kick on the stool chilidishly. "more than i know for sure. i've like tapped the keys before, but i...don't have a sense of what, rhythm? i dunno." the blonde scratches his head sheepishly. answering the urge that's been pulling at him, he reaches out to press a random key on the keyboard, before darting is hand away when it does make an audible noise. "like. no idea what i just hit." stevie laughs, the tips of his ears turning red in a little bit of embarrassment. he probably should know something, knowing eunae and joomi, but stevie just never cared about piano or instruments in general before. not when he could surf or skate! "i'm a clean slate! what helped you get the hang of it when you first started learning?"
seira is still confused about how she learned to play the piano. she bought the piano to give song-writing and composing a chance, but she didn’t have anyone to learn her how to play. in the end she’d had to teach herself, practicing for hours and sometimes using youtube as a help. she still definitely wasn’t the best piano player, but when you think about how she’s learned it all herself, she does smile at the thought, gets proud of herself. “i play every day basically, so i guess i’ve played a lot” she shrugs “but with work and trainee life now, i don’t get to practice as much anymore” she pouts. “eh, i sucked in the beginning too” she shrugs “you’ll figure it out! if i can learn it, and i’m kind of stupid, then you can too” she smiles to stevie.
“i think that was a g note… think… yeah, yeah it was” she leans a bit back “honestly… i still struggle with reading notes or whatever you call it” she shrugs. “i find it easier to watch youtube tutorials where they show you which key to hit”. “ah, but well, i started off by learning children songs, they’re usually easier, at least for me”. “do you have a children song out there you like?” she looks at stevie, a small smile sitting on her lips.

sua hums at the info, directing her eyes away from seira and back to the set in thought. "what are the qualifications for it, you think?" she inquires, following up with a snort. "i guess for now we're the judge of it?" they'll probably ask for all the photos or the best ones or whatever. "i like to think i am. i haven't heard any complaints or criticisms." sua laughs, the thought funny to her. "i just take them when i feel like it. or if i need to use them for something." a thirst trap or two, pouting to get her way or a threatening one. a picture is worth a thousand words, after all. "well. all we can do is try." sua decides on, flipping through her phone for her camera so she can try out a selfie. she snaps a quick one, expression blank in front of a tree, before she tries for a small, very miniscule smile. "d'ya want to take a picture with me?" she asks, glancing over at seira. "we can do some selfies first, and if you want, i'll take a few of you posing first?"
“you’re naturally pretty, so it must be hard not to take a good selfie” she shrugs. “i know i’m not ugly, and i would honestly call myself pretty, but majority of my selfies look so… awkward, it’s so rarely my selfies come out looking cute” she pouts. “you gotta teach me your ways, how can my selfies turn out as good as yours?”.
seira should really get together and practice posing and modeling, but at the moment she wanted to give rap and dancing all of her attention. to become an idol again however, she needed much more than just dancing and rapping, and this whole thing was probably for the better, though seira was disliking how not-well she was doing so far.
“let’s, let’s try taking some selfies” she nods. “don’t overshine me with your beauty though!” she says as she places her hands on her hips. “what kind of pose should we do first?” she looks at the other. “or should we just… go for it?” seira hums “selfie taking is harder than it should be”.

yuji blinks through the sting that's suddenly in her eyes-- the spice level is almost atrocious. "sometimes it isn't as spicy as advertised, though!" yuji argues half-heartedly, covering her mouth as another cough threatens to overtake her. she doesn't want to cause a scene in the restaurant-- and the food is good, under the burning sensation in her mouth. "i feel like someone is ordering this. why else have the option on the menu?" it's either that or they're trying to poison someone. death by spice? yuji really can't wrap her mind around someone being able to eat this with no issue. "i'm almost curious enough to ask, but--" her face crumbles, pinched-- and she ducks her face down to take another sip from her water. there's a sudden influx of spice in her mouth, probably stuck in her teeth that suddenly she's waaay too aware of. "heugh. i need to not look and feel like i'm dying first." she doesn't even want to think about taking it home. would it be worse as leftovers? would it be easier to eat? her head bobs in a nod. "wise words. good choice," yuji comments, though she already feels pretty weak in the heat of the spice. giving a hum at the thought of ice cream, the phantom feeling of it has yuji sighing. "that would be nice," she mutters, pouting down at the food she's holding up with her chopsticks, staring down at it as if she could intimidate it into not being as spicy. "i'd like a reward after this. what kind of ice cream?" she asks, for something other to focus on than the hell raising in her mouth.
seira pouts “yeah, someone must be ordering this… else they would stop selling it” she leans back, takes a sip of her water. “i’d like to meet someone that doesn’t die by eating this, it’s so damn spicy” even her breath felt spicy now. “i mean, it is delicious, so i’d get why someone would eat this, but it’s so spicy as well” she sucks in air through her teeth “this feels like suffering for the goodness, it burns so bad, but i truly can’t stop eating” and with that she takes another bite “why does it have to be so delicious and spicy at once”.
“i’m curious too” she nods “what could you possibly put in to make it this spicy, this isn’t kimchi nor buldak spicy, it’s like a million times more spicy than that”. “i fear i’m sweating off my make up right now… once we’re finally done i’ll be looking like a total mess”. seira wants to wipe the sweat off her forehead, but she fears if she does so then she’ll wipe the make up she’s wearing off too. “i’m sweating like it’s a million degrees right now”.
“we gotta stay strong and positive, i believe in us, we’ll manage to finish this” even if yuji does give up at some point, seira is such a big eater she’s pretty sure she’ll somehow manage to finish it all herself. “we need a reward after this, and ice cream is the perfect reward” she nods. “we could either go to a convenience store, or search on kakao maps for a good ice cream place?”.

"a chinchilla? aw," sua smiles at the thought of it. "i wouldn't mind having one either." she says, thinking about it. they're cute, and right up sua's alley. "i hope they do have them here. i'd love to see them, even if they're snoozing." a contemplative look crosses the artist's face. "hm. we'll pack as many as we can, then." they can decide what to eliminate off the list later on; once they get their main focuses out of the way. sua came here with a plan (kinda. a semblance of one, really). "coming here again would be fun. i'd like that-- and we can choose an animal to do a feeding session while we're looking around?" "you'll love them." sua reassures, her mouth quirking up wide at the corners with the flare of her teeth. just thinking about them is getting sua more and more excited to get into the thick of the zoo. sua shakes her head sharply, her expression pinched. "we...can see them." she says, though it sounds like it takes everything in her to grit those words out. "but i don't want...to get near them. we don't get along." sua explains. "but if you want to, feel free. i'll support you from a healthy distance away." she tosses a crooked smile at seira, before gesturing forward so they can continue on their zoowalk.
“i’d love to have a pet some day” she hums “i want one now so i have someone to go home to but… i fear i’m too busy for a pet right now, i have practice and work to handle, i wouldn’t be able to give the pet that much attention” she pouts. “i suppose i could get a fish, they can pretty much entertain themselves but… they seem like such a boring pet to own” she shrugs “eh, i’ll just hope that in the future i’ll be able to have a pet, hopefully a chinchilla”.
seira gives a strong nod “let’s attempt to see as much as we can!” seira doesn’t want to stress through it all and only see every animal for a couple of seconds, but she does want to see as much as they possibly can see. a bright and wide smile shows up on seira’s lips “i’m happy you’ll let me tag along another time! and yeah, let’s figure out what animal to do a feeding session with” she nods her head.
seira tilts her head to the side “are you scared of birds?” she looks curiously at the other “you can hold my hand if you want?” she reaches out a hand, a smile on her lips “i won’t let any bird hurt you!”. “i wanna see them, but, i want you to come too! don’t worry, we won’t walk too close to the birds, i promise!”.

yuji has had so much time to sit and think-- consider why and how the companies choose what trainees they want. she can't come up with answers that satisfy her enough, so she's long since come to terms with she'll never really understand. it's fun to think about it though, consider far-fetched ideas that sound more ridiclous than realistic. "they had to have." besides, studio delta is picky, yuji knows. at the mention of her audition, yuji blinks a few times in rapid succession, head tilting to the side as she thinks about it. "ah...i think it was a nana song? it was for lime back then, so i think i stuck to something familiar. i just performed it vocally...i think it was i got love?" it feels like so long ago now, looking back. she didn't even audition to sr media, she was transferred, offered up a different company. yuji hums in understanding. the nerves are the worst part, and no matter how many years, months under axis labels-- yuji still feels the nerves most of the time. she can't imagine how it feels for seira, who's had a chance before doing this and lost it. naturally, yuji expects the nerves have to be skyrocketing. "you're a hard worker," yuji says after a moment of thought. "i can see that. and if i can see that, i know your coaches have, too." yuji's observant, but the staff at the companies are paid and expected to look for anything and everything they can when monitoring trainees. "saying don't worry about it doesn't do much to help, though. but if you keep up with what you're doing...i think you'll be rewarded. soon enough." that might be a bit too hopeful. nothing comes soon, she's learning. not for her, anyway. but maybe the universe is looking out for seira.
“they must’ve” seira shrugs. seira often feels like she’s talentless, she can’t sing at all, her dancing still isn’t good and she’s far from a good rapper. she questions it often, how did she get into studio delta? she’s kind of just convinced herself she got in due to her potential, that they could see in her she’d eventually become better or something. she has gotten better though, she hasn’t been here for long, but she’s definitely gotten better, and she’ll continue to get better so she gets to stay in the company and hopefully debut some day.
“is it so long ago you’re unsure?” she tilts her head to side “wait… i have no idea how long you’ve been a trainee, have i? tell me yuji! when did you manage to pass the auditions” she leans a bit back, eyes focused on yuji. she knows yuji became a trainee at sr media before she became a trainee at studio delta herself, but that’s as far as her knowledge goes.
seira pouts “i do work hard” seira practices as much as time lets her do, she still has to work, make sure she can buy food and a roof over her head. seira hasn’t always been this hard-working, not even on next gen, it was first after the show she began taking it all so seriously. “you think so?” seira looks at the other with tears in her eyes, though she refuses to cry. “i hope they’ll let me stay, i truly can’t go back to practicing by myself in my apartment, besides, it’s easier practicing along friends” she shows a smile to the other.

"no problem!" stevie assures, waving a hand around with a beam. being full of expression is never a bad thing-- at least not to stevie. if it's a performance, he'd rather you be showing something than just nothing at all. where's the fun in that? "it's something that takes time! don't worry, we're gonna get you there. don't you think you've improved?" he asks, tilting his head to the side. stevie can see it, but he knows for people self-reflecting, it might not be as easy to accept. stevie thinks about it, cocking his head to the side. "jeez. a while now? i started for fun in like, middle school, but didn't really stick with it until end of high school? besides like, dancing for fun and learning choreo for videos." stevie fiddles with his hair, raking a hand through the strands and tucking it back messily. he should put it up by this point, but he's lazy. "and then i applied to a school for it, and now i'm here!" stevie rocks on his heels. "it kinda feels like forever though. but...maybe that's just because of how much time i spend practicing." he snorts, shaking his head. "it'll get easier though, trust. especially once you get a grip on the type of dancing you really vibe with and enjoy. is there one you've ever been curious to try?"
facial expressions had always been needed when seira was an idol the first time around, her group’s music joyful and playful. but sometimes seira feels like she can’t get rid of the ‘over the top’ facial expressions, not every song needs the facial expressions seira learned to do, and that’s something she has to learn. she doesn’t wanna do too much, but she also doesn’t want to do too little, it’s hard figuring out what’s too much and too little though, especially when it’s different for every song and dance.
“i think i’ve gotten better” she gives a strong nod “when i joined next gen i was awfully bad at dancing, i don’t think i’m that bad at dancing anymore” she shrugs. “sometimes it feels embarrassing though, i’ve been an idol before and i’m still this bad at dancing?” she pouts her lips. “ah well, i’ll make sure that the next time i debut i deserve it” she shows a slight smile to the other. “i’ll be good enough at dance to finally debut again”.
“oh that’s been a while then?” seira had been dancing for a while too, but that wasn’t easy to tell. “but it’s nice having something you’ve been passionate about for so long” she smiles to the other “i only began taking rap seriously after next gen, so i have a long way to go with rap, and even further with dance” she shrugs. “but i hope you’re right, with time i’ll have it all figured out”.

━━ idol history workshop ◞ tilt .· (@beseira)
sitting tall with a pencil and notebook in front of her, hyeran’s eyes can’t help but wander around the classroom. of course, she’s still paying attention as the coach keeps talking to them, the students, but she can’t help it. they’ve been at this for a couple of hours now and her neck is starting to get sore. ‘alright, let’s take a break!’ the booming voice gets her attention and hyeran realizes that she hadn’t been paying attention for the last few minutes of lecture. she’s grateful for the break, though as she stands from her seat to stretch, tilting her neck to one side and then the other. her gaze lands upon one of the girls seated close to her, face familiar but someone hyeran can’t put a name to. the trainee wonders if it’s because they know each other and she’s forgotten, or if she’s just seen them passing by in the halshe smiles, trying to get her attention. “you’re not a lime trainee, are you?” she asks with a chuckle. “it’d be embarrassing if you were and i didn’t know your name. i’m hyeran,” she introduces herself.
trainee life at axis labels sure was different from the last time seira was a trainee. in her last company there had been two types of training: with a coach or by yourself. and all they focused on was singing, rap and dance, here in axis labels she was learning so much more than just that. it almost, honestly, feels like school, and part of seira can’t figure out why she’s learning idol history, while another part of her wonders why she’s never learned idol history before.
growing up in japan, she doesn't know a lot of the older groups in the industry, having been an idol before, she knows a good amount of the newer groups, though she finds it difficult keeping up with all the groups that debuted after her own group disbanded. seira brought along a notebook, which does have some notes, but it’s mainly just doodles on the paper actually.
seira shakes her head “i’m a studio delta trainee, this workshop just seemed interesting and not interesting at the same time, so i decided to give it a chance” she shrugs. “i’m seira, or sunah if that’s easier to pronounce, i don’t mind either” though she forever misses getting called her stage name. “how are you feeling about the workshop so far?”.

love & peace. feat. @beseira
when sua signed up for this workshop, she wasn't sure exactly what she expected. modeling tips, naturally-- but to be given time to just...take photos in front of a backdrop? it seems a little far-fetched. she thought they'd be shoved under the bright lights of several cameras and taught how to pose through the masses. maybe that's to come later? sua scratches her head, an unsure hum leaving her. "are you any good at selfies?" she turns her head to address seira, a frown on her face as she thinks. seira is cute, sua thinks she'd take a number of selfies-- but she's not a hundred percent sold on that. "the cherry blossoms are nice." she comments on the backdrop settings. it might look nice against sua's hair color, she supposes. "but it feels weird to spend this time just...taking photos."
seira had about zero idea how to model. how she ever managed to pose for her group’s old concept photos is still a mystery. it’s not that seira doesn’t like how she looks, it’s more she doesn’t know how to pose, unless there’s someone directly telling her how to pose her body, she just looks… awkward. but even though she’d like to avoid modeling, simply due to how bad she is at it, it’s somehow a part of the idol life.
“good at selfies?” seira hums “majority of my selfies don’t turn out well, but here and there i’ll take a good one” which was the reasoning behind why there went months between seira posting on her instagram. “what about you? good at taking selfies?”. taking selfies wasn’t exactly modeling, but at the same time, if you were able to feel comfortable in front of the camera doing selfie-taking, wouldn’t it be easier to model as well?
“the cherry blossoms are indeed nice” she nods “but even if you posed amazingly in front of them, i’m not sure my photo taking skills would do you good” she shrugs “we don’t only need to pose well, we need to be able to take pictures well as well” she sighs.

kouxbe
most of the time, kou has little to no clue as to what he’s doing. if anything, he’s surprised that he’s even made it this far into being a trainee. for some odd reason, sr media wanted to keep him and kou, being the kind of guy to go with the flow - had decided to keep up with it. still, despite the months ( maybe years? … year and a half…? he’s lost track ) of training, something that kou still finds himself struggling with quite a bit… is dancing. for some reason, it’s as though his body won’t listen to him, his brain tells him to move his legs left, but it’s always a beat too soon. how annoying, he thinks. but he has no choice but to at the very least try to be decent at this. he turns to seira, who seems to be facing similar training related problems and he nods, leaning close to look at the video on the screen. “ah that’s…” oh no. oh dear. he’s getting flashbacks to when they went ice-skating together, and kou had fallen ass first onto the ice, all while trying to act as though he could be a reliable older brother-like figure to seira. he can’t let her down now! “… ah yeah… sure,” he nods his head once more. “i think, okay uhm… first, the legs - the count is one, two and then you twist and - wait, let me watch the video one more time.”
seira was very obviously a slow learner when it came to dance. her rap had improved a great deal, and quickly, but no matter how much she practiced dance, it felt like she was stuck with two left feet for forever. maybe it was because she was super interested in rap, but was just learning dance so she could debut again some day. sometimes dancing felt more like a chore that needed to be done, but seira was sure with enough practice she’d eventually manage to figure out how to dance.
she’s not been practicing much by herself though, she’s always asking someone for help, whether that’s a coach or fellow trainee (or simply someone interested in dance). she’s looking up at kou with puppy eyes, hoping he’ll be able to help her with the moves she’s done a million times but still can’t figure out how to do. “it’s complicated, isn’t it?” she pouts “is there like a button to control the speed? it might be easier to figure it out if we watch it in slow motion”.

beyuji
for a moment, a brief and beautiful moment, yuji thinks maybe she's beginning to tolerate it. the first few seconds into the bite, the thought of this isn't so bad enters her mind. it's ironic, the famous last words, because it only takes another couple of seconds for the spice to build. and build and then-- her hand shoots out for her water, seira's words processing in her head as a strangled laugh leaves her. it does feel a bit like this is going to kill her. the sip she takes is more of a gulp, and she sets her water cup down with a bit more force than needed. yuji wants to respond to seira, give her yuji's own condolences, but the older can't even bring herself to speak. instead, she reaches an arm across the table to pat at seira's arm in silent comfort, expression pinched. it's another several gulps of water later than yuji finally finds her voice again. "i feel like this is a test." she croaks out, breaking out into a small bout of hoarse laughter. "if we can get through this, we can get through anything."
“man who even eats this kind of spice… do people order this knowing how spicy it is? or is everybody just as stupid as us and assumes it won’t be this spicy”. very well they knew what they ordered was a spicy dish, but seira feels like there should’ve been some sort of warning for this, it’s inhumanely possible that someone is really able to enjoy this level of spice. it is delicious though, and seira is dumb enough to possible return and order this exact dish again.
“this is above next level spicy, i wonder what they put in it… every type of chili they could find in the entire world or something?” truly, what would they have put in it to reach this level of spicyness? seira can’t figure it out, nor is she entirely sure she wants to figure it out. “the least we can do is try… if we don’t finish, we might at least be able to take it home with us” and continue the suffering at home.
“sure does feel like it, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. if we make it out alive today we’ll have become ten times stronger” even though it’s spicy, it also is quite delicious and seira has a great love for food, something tells seira there might be a possibility the two will be able to finish it, seira doesn’t know how big of an eater yuji is though. “i say once we’re done with this we treat ourselves to come ice cream” as always, food is the only thing on seira’s mind.

"money doesn't fix everything, but it certainly makes it easier." the idea that it doesn't fix all your problems is a nice sentiment indeed-- but it's just not realistic, at the end of the day. "there's always a chance it could be bad. maybe it's the...one in a million chance or whatever." stevie nods, laughing in agreement. "i wonder that all that time...like dang, what's going on in there?" he scratches his own head. "exactly. most of the time they're going to talk in circles around you anyway. don't get paid enough for that." a waste of time and a waste of breath. "you just have to like, a decent dancer! and maybe a decent enough actor to look like you're having fun, at least." stevie thinks seira could enjoy it-- but then again, not everyone thinks dance is fun like stevie does. stevie likes most things that require burning a lot of physical energy. "everything else can be," he gives a vague gesture in the hand. "whatever." "it's not fun, no....well, some people think languages are fun, don't they? is it linguists?" stevie can't remember, but he shrugs and continues on. "whatever. anyway, it's going to be not as fun, but we could learn something new that could be kind of fun, no?" stevie tries, it sounding already like nonsense to his ears.
“yeah, life would be easier with a bunch of money on my hand”. seira’s dad had always made sure that seira loved and valued the things in life that didn’t cost money, like friends and family. seira would’ve never wished for another dad, but secretly she had hoped the family had more money, but he was a single dad caring for three children.
“you definitely meet a lot of…” she hums “different kinds of people when you work as a barista… i mean, majority of them are nice, but there’s so often, weird and rude costumers as well” she lets out a sigh “really hope i won’t have this job for forever” the thought gives her goosebumps… being a barista for the rest of her life? she’s been one for a bit over a year and that feels like forever.
“it’s not that i hate dancing, i’m just so terrible at it” she shrugs “i think i’d like it more if i was good at it, but in order to become good i’d have to practice it” she lets out a sigh. “there’s probably people out there that enjoy studying languages, i am not one of those people though”.

piano master
truthfully lately, seira was the one asking for help, the one needing help. she was obviously very behind compared to a lot of the other trainees, and how she had been an idol before but still sucked was kind of embarrassing. seira had a long way to go, especially when it came to dance, but at least her rapping had improved a great deal. today though, she wasn’t asking anyone to help her with some dance moves or listen if she could do anything better about her rap, no she was here to help a friend that had previously helped her.
“i started playing the piano when my group disbanded, so i’ve only played for about two years” she runs her hand through her hair as she looks at stevie “i’m not the best piano player in the world, but i’m sure i could teach you a bit”. her brother and dad had gathered money to give to seira once her group disbanded, so she could buy some food until she got a job, she got a job far quicker than anyone had expected, but they let her keep the money which seira ended up using on a piano keyboard. “have you ever tried to play the piano before?” she asks curiously.

get on the floor
it was kind of sad but hilarious at the same time. seira, a former idol for four years still suffered from two left feet. her old group was so nugu that people probably cared too little to see seira wasn’t a good dancer and a very bad main rapper, but now that seira is in studio delta, she’s pretty sure she needs to get rid of her two left feet in order to debut. so even though the girl has far more interest in practicing her rapping, she must practice her dance as well.
she’s with kou, who has been an amazing friend throughout seira’s second trainee journey time. “kou?” she lifts up her phone and plays a dance video “i can’t figure out whatever they’re doing with their feet, can you… try to figure it out and teach me?” too terrible at dancing herself, she just hopes kou is better than her.

bexsua
"chinchilla? ooh, nice choice. they're really cute." sua smiles as she recalls, eyes scanning over the brochure rapidly. "they might be here at this exhibit, i'm not sure if they have them, though. or they might have it closed off for now." she taps on a particular part of the map, making a mental note. "we'll definitely check it out though. it's further in, so we can head there first and peek other animals on the way." "pandas too. okay, okay. we'll get to everything you want to today, okay?" sua glances over at seira with a small smile. sua loves a chance to go to the zoo, and see the cute animals and creatures they have to offer. "i know they have certain animals for like...feeding sessions if you pay. maybe we could keep an eye out for that too." "they're sooo cute. i saw them the last time i went to the zoo, but they were in the back of the enclosure." it had been a little disappointing, but you could still see them, even if it wasn't as close as sua would have wanted. "but we have to go through the bird one to get there..." the artist trails off, a grimace crossing her face. "do you care about...birds?"
seira cannot hide how excited she is for today, her eyes bright and wide, and if that doesn’t give it away then the gigantic smile that has been on her face since they arrived surely will give it away. it’s more special being here with sua, she had considered going alone when she found the time, but she’s excited that she’s not alone today. “i know right? they’re so cute, i want one myself once i have the time and money for it” she gives a nod. “not the end of the world if they don’t have them, but if they do, we must see them!”.
“ideally i’d see every animal, but i’m not sure if we have the time for that” she shrugs “maybe we can return some other time if we don’t see them all today?” she looks up at the other with big eyes. “eh! feeding sessions, we must! i’ll pay for us!”.
“excited to see those capybaras, i’ve never seen one in real life” she probably hadn’t seen more than 90% of these animals in real life actually. “birds are a little scary, but i still wanna see them”. “or are you wanting to skip seeing the birds?” she tilts her head a bit to the side.

beyuji
yuji hums, analyzing seira for another moment. "maybe you had a natural talent for it? despite not having done it for so long." certain things can be taught if there's enough of a groundwork laid there. companies will latch onto that and mold you, she's learning. "or you have another secret talent the scouts can see but you can't." "they work in mysterious ways i'm finding." yuji says, smile turning wry. no matter how much workshopping, thinking and spiraling she can do-- she'll never know why the company chooses the people it does or the method behind it. "they've got a plan." hopefully, goes unsaid. yuji shakes her head, offering seira a wider, more firm smile. "we can," the older assures, settling herself near seira, setting herself up. "you're no bother. i like lending my ear." she's been a trainee for some time, and she's one of the older trainees currently around now. yuji feels like she's built up a lot of wisdom in these years as a trainee. "it helps, sometimes. having someone listen to my worries. i don't mind being that one for you, so..." yuji tilts her head to the side. "lay it on me."
she shrugs “i’m not sure how i got in, but i’ll just be thankful that i did”. seira could see it clearly now, as an idol she hadn’t been very skilled, so when she joined next gen she thought she would have an advantage, in the end her old idol days hadn’t done much for her. she’d practiced a great deal since next gen, but she still wasn’t the best rapper nor songwriter, maybe studio delta saw something in her, she’s not sure what, she’s just happy to have joined the company.
“i hope they saw something in me i didn’t see myself”. “studio delta is a successful company, i’m sure they don’t take just anyone in, they must’ve seen something in me”. “what about you? what did you audition with?”.
“thank you” seira sits next to the other “you’re sweet” she sends a smile the other’s way. “i’m nervous as hell” she bites her lip “since next gen, i’ve realized just how bad i wanted to be an idol again” she leans a bit back “being nothing… neither an idol nor trainee was hard… i struggled practicing by myself, i wanted to get better but it was so difficult”. “i was so happy when i got into studio delta because it meant there was a chance i’d debut again and… i just don’t want to lose that chance”.
