the gay firefighter show is so fucking funny because it truly has everything: interracial couples; lesbian couples; gay couples; a man from the midwest dealing with the culture shock of southern california; nuanced depictions of alcoholism, abuse and parental issues; patchwork families; found families; a gay man who only comes out late in life; representation from every single minority under the sun apart from maybe a jewish or a trans character; blatant copaganda; anti-cop critique; an unbelievable amount of OSHA violations; and two dudes in what can only be described as a classic 2000s network television queerbaiting situationship. they truly said “representation for everyone, even the repressed closeted straight dudes whose favourite fictional character is dean winchester”
