On Daily Goals - 6/6/25
I'm starting to have a difficult time completing every goal I set for myself every day. There could be a few reasons why this is happening.
First, I'm trying to incorporate everything new into my day-to-day routine all at once, rather than adjusting with each step. Second, my days aren't the same every day- sometimes (with my chronic fatigue), my energy levels are not what I need them to be to accomplish everything, and sometimes the structure of my day in general will be different with different plans.
To fix this, I'm going to write down everything I want to do and identify what I'm able to accomplish most regularly. Once I have that completely down, I'll add a new goal. I'm going to continue adding a new goal every time I'm able to keep the last one for a few days in a row.
My current daily routine:
Morning:
Stay awake after I get up for the day
Drink a cup of water first thing in the morning
Eat breakfast and take my meds
Brush my teeth
Wash my face
Apply skincare
Change my clothes
Daily:
Put away at least 1 item that isn’t in its place
Take a digital break for at least 15 minutes
Take a stretch break
Step outside of my home
Eat at least 1 serving of fruit and vegetables
Eat lunch
Connect with a friend
Work on a creative project for at least 10 minutes
Do at least one extra thing that makes me happy
Night:
Eat dinner
Do my NYT puzzles and Duolingo
Brush my teeth
Wash my face
Apply skincare
Take night meds
Goals I want to add (subject to change):
Write a daily affirmation
Do a 3-minute morning stretch
Go on a walk (and walk for a longer amount of time than I did the day before)
Drink my entire bottle of water (adjust goal once I can do this)
Read at least 10 pages of a book (adjust goal once I can do this)
Remember to put down my fork between each bite of food
Do an exercise I enjoy
Journal
Reflect on one thing I’m grateful for each evening
Do a 3-minute wind-down stretch before bed
Try to go to bed 10 minutes earlier than the day before

This is my self care/journal blog to track my progress on taking care of myself and my health, give myself inspiration, etc.
I have daily goals that I’m going to try to stick to every day, and each week I’m going to give myself weekly goals too! I’m going to be honest and say what I do/don’t do each day and how it makes me feel. I will also use this as a personal journal to see what other factors impact my progress.
