question: can we submit individual *members* of bands for the hottest competition, or does it have to be solo acts?

Individuals! Doesn't matter whether they're solo acts or members of bands!

This is kind of in reaction to the Hottest 80s Musician Tournament (men) currently being run by @the-hottest-band-tournament. I just feel like hair metal hotness and synthpop/new wave hotness are just two totally different types of hotness. As an actual child of the 80s, if you're asking me to vote between John Bon Jovi and Martin Gore my brain might actually split in half. So I wanted to do a more focused tournament.

Also, I tried to put together a hottest synthpop bands tournament last summer and I felt like I was struggling with getting propaganda and individual artists are easier. Plus, it solves the problem of Vince Clark... do you vote for him as part of Depeche Mode, Yaz or Erasure? 😄

(And I predict that members of Sparks and Devo will lose immediately first round, just as their bands have lost immediately in the song tournaments. Prove me wrong Russel Mael.)
