Retirement worker anon here
Yeah see if it was because of stress I wouldn't be judging. They just don't sanitize or clean like they're supposed to, which you'd think they'd take seriously because we work for people on the very last step before death kinda old and sick.
You'd also be shocked at how badly they talk about the seniors there, as if it's their fault they're so sick and so much work to care for. It's disheartening sometimes and I can't wait for the time I gotta spend here for my degree to be over, even though it's only been a short time.
I think I'd rather work customer service honestly, at least then I don't have to get sneered at by my coworkers for not knowing how to change an adult persons diaper after never having down it before.
Fight on, as they say, let's make the bag. My goal is to only work 30 hours when I get that far, instead of the 37 they demand of me rn. We can do this 🎉🎉
That is horrible, I know I have never really talked about it on here, But while growing up I was basically a Hospice nurse for some of my relatives. My last relative I did this for, was my biological Grandpaw, who had both of his legs amputated.
He had survivors guilt both from his sickness, and from being an Army vet. We would try and let him do as much as he could by himself, but there were things he needed alot of help with. Like bathing, getting cleaned up cause his urinary track didnt work like it was suppose too. And sometimes I would help him get from the bed to his wheelchair.
It can be really hard for most to "stay postive ", cause to them its humiliating that they need so much help. And for alot of retirement patients, even if they don't say it out loud, they often feel like a burden.
//////
At Ted's hotdogs, (My old workplace), the one thing that was taken very seriously, was if you were sick you dont come to work. If you "couldn't afford" to lose a day or more of work, you would stayhome, but one of the managers would clock you in and out for your shift.
We did this, cause roughly 80% of our customer base within a week was Elderly people. That literally getting sick is a death sentence. But they loved coming into the restaurant, for Social interaction beside people that are obligated to spend time with them.
////////
I have noticed there's a weird pipeline of school bullies taking on healthcare careers. But I don't think i have enough experience in that line of work, to actually fully indepth comment on it.
But, I hope everything works out on your end anon. You 👏can👏do👏this! 🎉

Something I've noticed with my job (retirement home) is that the workers are a lot less clean then they're supposed to be. The cake we sometimes get is good though.
Yeah I get that, either from caregiver burnout or stressful days. It's much harder to remind yourself or others to clean up after yourself. When the only thing on your mind is getting all of the tasks done when you need too.
My work is kinda like that too, nothing like Health code breaking.
But during rushes, the conters look like a nightmare, some spilled coffee there, matcha in the mix, ice trying to melt.
That and sometimes the cleaning rags get left on the counters, cause they had to rush to do something else. (which the rags are kind of a healthcode issue, but nothing compared to what ive seen in other places.)
After the rushes, we gotta play catch up, on the mess everytime. Cause there's usally only 2 Barista's on shift, and one or two for the Registers.

So I have noticed something, within my work at Starbucks.
A) Almost everyone has a drink they regularly get.
And
B) If the customer says something doesn't look right about the drink they get everytime, they're usally right.
Now, if the customer is upset about it and makes a statement about 'whoever made the drink...'. I don't like those comments, one we're understaffed (What place isn't), and we have lot of new people who are still working on their Barista skills. Where those comments can cripple their confidence.
So... How do you go about keeping the conversation while the drinks being made, while your blood is starting to boil?? As well as not throwing a coworker under the bus??
The way I like to do it, is apologize and explain the situation with a half truth, without throwing anyone under the bus.
Ex:
' Im very sorry about that, we are understaffed so our Barista's are working on alot of drinks at the same time. So, They probably just mistaked the ratios of another order with yours.'
I've found saying this, moves the customer's frustration to understaffing, instead of looking for a person to blame. Often hearing the phrase, 'Oh I remember those shifts', after.
(Yes, I know about the shit that the old CEO has done. Starbucks was the only place that got back to me, and without a job Im homeless. The hourly worker is not your enemy, the corporation is.)

You'll never get use to it, if you don't take the time to destress and allow your body to get use to the added stress.
If you can, hot showers after really big stressful shifts, (this will relaxed your musles) and stretches after you get out.
If you get breaks during your shift, take that time to "reset", even if its just setting a timer and then staring at a walk. It helps!
I'm so damn exhausted and it's only Wednesday. Everything hurts and I'm just so overwhelmed mentally with my internship. I just don't think it's fair we work around 5 hours more than everyone else but we don't even get paid a fourth what they do.
Does anybody have any advice on how to put up with a hard exhausting job? My hope is, that it'll just be exhausting the first while and I'll get used to it, but I'll take any advice I can get.

Tim's parents did die though, they were murder inside their house. (Well his mom didn't die on the same night.)
But While Tim was going on patrol with Batman, Captain Boomrang broke into the Drake's household. Oracle gave the tip to Tim and Batman, about the break in.
And Tim got there just in time for his father to tell Tim for the frist time in years that he loved him, and how proud he was of what Tim dose as Robin. Before the life drianed from his eyes.
Tim Drake's Mom died when the cultist, Obeah Man, kidnapped both Jack (Tim'dad) and Janet(Tim's mom). Where she died, someone else Tim couldn't save.
Unless you were talking about Dana Drake, Tim's stepmom. Who Jack married, to move on from the death of Janet, in which.. Yeah, that marriage was a train Wreak. Who before marriage, was Jack's therapist.
///////
Not to mention the sexual abuse Taila put Tim through, when he was kidnapped by the league of Assassins. But Im not gotta fault you for not knowing that, cause they did that storyline, and then just never mentioned it again throughout the whole comic run.
///////
You can only have some many people die around you, before, then if logically it wasn't, you believe it was your fault they died.
Tim on the truama scale ain't doing good.
Baraba aint either, but that's a post for another day.

Especially Tim. Barbara at least had the excuse of traumatizing parental death, Tim's backstory? "I went to the circus once when I was three. Also my parents should prbly have gotten a divorce. I attended a lot of boarding schools."

I haven't seen other fanfic writers on here do this, (Maybe some Fem! Reader blogs do, and I dont see cause im MLM). But, I use a separate Masterlist for things I reblog, so its easier for people to find them.
That way they're more likely to explore those other blogs, I dont know how well that actually is working. But I like to think it helps at least some.

So I have a somewhat healthy relationship with my partner, I say somewhat healthy cause its been kinda bumpy. Before anyone gets the wrong idea, no its not abuse or anything.
So my boyfriend, Diann, was diagnosed at a young age with ADHD, however with a lot of recent events (Mostly the transition from high school to adult life, and us living together). There's a huge chance that my boyfriend either has both, ADHD and Bipolar, or is Bipolar, but was diagnosed with ADHD. His Sister who works within the medical field, commented that it is most likely Bipolar 2. But due to their family relations, she cant help him get diagnosed.
unfortunately, its probably going to be a bit, Before he can get tested and medication, due to him being apart of the military and his pay from from them is helping us not be homeless.
Now, on to what this post is mostly about, we were trying to find resources on how we can better navigate his Bipolar within our relationship. However, most of the resources I found were.... Unhelpful to say the least. Some had the assumption that the person dating the one with Bipolar, had no bad mental health history what so ever. Others had a very negative out look of people with Bipolar, that the person is dangerous and will abuse you, just give it time. And its your fault cause you stayed. ... Which isnt how that works.
And the worse of all was the one that was just a step by step process of how to multpulate your partner with Biapolar to have them under your thumb 24/7, so you can control them. (Which it could just be really REALLY poorly written, but yikes).
So uh yeah, can people with biapolar or their partner just reblog, or comment under this post, Sharing funny/happy moments with their partner or possible tips from how you both got through hurddles in your relationship?
I mostly just need a pallet cleanser, but I also think it would be great to have a place where Bipolar in relationships arent demonized, helps with moral.
