I had been travelling regularly, taking as many vacation days as I could get away to (I was working full-time as a software developer at the time) while also enjoying clubbing weekends and extended holidays. It was time for me to venture farther from my home nation of India and step outside of my comfort zone, so I made the decision to visit Bhutan.

DARJEELING

"Sir Ji, the weather is clear," flashed an SMS on the screen. Come prepared at 7.30. The moment I was going to disregard the alert, it occurred to me that our driver would horn in the following 90 minutes. Better get up, get the kids ready, and get ready for a fantastic day.

At an elevation of 6959 feet, Lepchajagat is located 18 kilometers from Darjeeling. The location was formerly primarily a Lepta tribe settlement, as the name would imply.  Hotel Mayfair. The Mall, Opposite Governor House. – A 4-star oasis of a lodge the size of the hill close to below The Mall. It’s part of a good hotel chain in Sikkim. Call ahead to coordinate a porter upon your arrival as taxis may not be allowed to enter the road.
