I really love the idea of mediators in clans, But like not as an ambassador for interclan issues (that's just their side job). I like to imagine that they are just the full time therapist for the cats of their respective clan.

Like imagine if like the Three go to the mediator for monthly therapy (and it's objectively making the problem worse)

Brambleclaw and Squilf go to couples therapy weekly

The mediator gives up on Ashfur after a couple of moons after realising that he won't listen to his advice and just wants to rant about Squilf

Cloudtail and Brightheart go to couples therapy as well, but they are their so they can stop problems and listen to each other (gotta love the wholesome relationship)
