I manage several advertising Facebook groups where people can place their ads. I see the above ad and ads like it all the time.  My question is always this,  “ If you're making $500 to $1,000 a week, why are you advertising in a free Facebook group?”

 Give Me Your Email Address Before You Get The Information

So, you see something like the ad above and you click on the link. The first thing they want is your email address before giving you any information whatsoever. When I'm teaching business clients how to build a website,  I relate their website to an office. Let's say you walk into an office to get information on their service. The first thing the receptionist says without even saying hi first is give me your email address.  What would you say to that receptionist? I imagine it would be something like,

” I just want to know what your company does?”  

To which the receptionist would reply, “I'm sorry but that's our policy to get an email address first.”

The average person, not wanting his or her email spammed  to the brim  would walk out of the office. Desperate people may give their email address in hopes of being able to make some money online working from home and escaping their financial situations.

Paying To Get Into Paid Surveys

Paid surveys is a real thing. Caution is advised though not all paid surveys companies actually pay their people. If you're going to do paid surveys to make money online make sure you research the company first. No company ever makes you pay to get into its paid survey company.  By the way you will never own Ferrari like the guy in the picture who claimed he bought it doing paid surveys.

If you're promoting the company's product or service with a subdomain then you are doing the same thing as a thousand other people.  Now I know the following words are harsh but it also represents reality, using a sub domain or affiliate link to promote a product is

Unprofessional

You do not stand out

It will not help you make sales in the future

Using  a sub domain basically means that you're promoting the company that you represent which is great for the company but not so great for you.  A subdomain will never be found in the search engines because your sub domain website is the exact same website a thousand people are using to promote the very same product or service that you are promoting!

I remain and caution you to be weary of signing up or purchasing from someone promoting online products from a subdomain website. I know this is not always the case, but it's a good general guideline. It usually means that they have not established a web presence for themselves. Since this is the case they could be gone tomorrow and not ever be heard from again. Again, I want to emphasize, this is a general  guideline and is not always the case but it is a factor when I decide to do business with someone.

Established Online Marketers Have Their Own Websites

If someone is making $500 to $1,000 a week, don't you think  he or she would have his or her own website? I actually own five or six different websites. I have a different domain  and sometimes multiple domains for each business or service. A domain is a URL otherwise known as a website address.
