This is going to be the last thing I post for a while because frankly, I don’t have the time nor desire to have these same circular arguments every time I log on.

One thing I think needs to be said that I feel is getting a little lost in all of of the discourse lately: while I do think there have been some overreactions to Joe and his activities lately, there seems to be a common theme missed by a lot of people on here that I feel is frustrating some folks.

We have a very diverse group of fans on here. The majority of the popular accounts and creators that helped make the Joemmunity over the past 4 years are people of color and/or members of marginalized demographics.

So when Joe chooses to align himself with individuals who have harmed, disrespected, or otherwise treated poorly those same demographics, it can leave a lot of people disappointed. It makes the small things he’s done that were viewed as positive feel very performative.

Therefor, when you guys see creators or anons voicing frustrations or concerns about those relationships he’s fostering or the people he’s hanging out with, or using humor to process how they feel about it, and you subsequently act like they are overreacting or that their feelings are invalid in your rush to defend him, you are sending a message that those creators don’t matter or their contributions aren’t valuable. That isn’t cool, especially when you are benefitting from the seeds of the community they planted. You can disagree with their conclusion but gaslighting them is unacceptable.

Everyone can decide where their line is and what is acceptable or isn’t. I’ve made it clear that I’ve been a fan of this team my entire life and will continue to do so, but I also 10000% understand why other people don’t feel the same way🧡

if you’re going to be criticize writers on a platform where fan content is encouraged, then don’t invade the safe space of the fandom by being judgmental of the different forms of art that people create in order to express their love for someone and/or something.

Writing fanfic Isa form of self expression and art. In our lives, every single one of us draws inspiration from somewhere whether it be an actor, musician, athlete or movie. Fifty Shades? Started as fanfiction. The After series? City of Bones?? Fanfiction! So many well known pieces started as FANFICTION. Stop belittling writers just because you don't understand it or find it 'odd'. Simply scroll by. I'll continue supporting all writers until the day I finally decide to give up this hellsite!

LSU has always been my first choice of University to attend after graduating from High School because i was born and raised in Louisiana and have always been a fan of the LSU Tigers!

Unfortunately during my time as a student at LSU i haven’t gotten the chance to meet Joe Burrow (i don’t think i truly ever had a chance to meet him even when he has visited Baton Rouge), but a girl can dream that one day it will happen!

“i love how your brain works.”

The amount of margaritas that you've drank in the past couple of hours have definitely pushed you passed your alcohol tolerance limit.. so to say that you were drunk was an understatement, but it's not your fault!

It was spring break which meant that you were home from University and your parents decided to host a party at their house inviting family and close friends to hang out by the pool in the backyard with BBQ to enjoy the sun that was shining brighter than ever.

With the open invitation from your family, you don’t understand how you couldn’t suspect that your older brother would have invited his childhood best friend to the party… so it was a surprise to you when you saw Joe Burrow walking through the gates of your backyard and being welcomed by your family.

Your older brother and Joe grew up together in Athens and stayed closed friends even after going to different colleges and having different career paths… and you were the stereotypical younger sister that had a “crush” on your older brother’s best friend and would do anything to hang out with the both of them.

It’s been a while since you’ve seen Joe, the last time you saw Joe was on your TV screen as you watched the last Bengals’ game is the season… but it was hard for you to remember the last time you saw Joe not on your TV screen.

As you were talking to your friends you could feels a pair of eyes on you and when you turn your head, you can confirm your suspicions when you see him staring at you with a grin on his face when the two of you make eye contact… causing you to quickly turn your head away from him to pay attention to the conversation with your friends, which causes him to smirk as he takes a sip of his drink, watching how flustered he can make you.

He wasn’t dumb, he knew about the crush you had on him for years. For a long time he thought it was just an innocent and stereotypical crush when the younger sister had a crush on her older brother’s best friend.. but even though the two of you grew up and grew apart, the feelings you have for him are just as strong as they were when you were 9.

At any point during the day, you could’ve walked over to where he stood around your brother and his friends to say hi and start a conversation with him, but you didn’t… You already had a few margaritas in your system, and the last thing you wanted to do was embarrass yourself in front of him.

After a while of being outside in the sun, you had decided to go get yourself another refill of the margarita you had been drinking… This time, as you walked away from your friends in the backyard to walk towards the back door of the house to enter the kitchen, you failed to notice the pair of eyes that watched every step you took.

Your back was turned towards the door as he walked into the house to hear you humming along to the song that played through the radio speakers as you were making yourself another margarita drink.

“So I guess I’m going to have to make the first move.” Joe spoke, causing you to jump as you look behind you to see him standing by the kitchen counter.

“Joe!” you exclaimed, placing your hand on your chest to calm yourself.” Don’t scare me like that!”

He laughs, “I wouldn’t have to scare you like that if you would’ve said ‘Hi’ to me earlier.”

You playfully smirked as you rolled your eyes, “You could’ve came over to where I was to say ‘Hi’… Last time I checked you injured your wrist not your legs.”

“I guess you’re right about that.” He says, as you turn back around to finish making your margarita drink.

You had thought Joe would’ve grabbed the plate of food or drink he was searching for when he came inside the house and would go back outside to hang out with your brother… so when you turned around after making your margarita drink, you were surprised to see him sitting on the stool at the kitchen counter snacking on the appetizers.

“Your brother said this is your last semester at University before you graduate… Are you excited about that?” Joe asked.

You nodded your head, “After 8 years, I’ll finally be done with University.”

“8 years of hard work to become a Veterinarian.” he says. “I remember the days when you would be playing Vet with your stuffed animals and forced your brother and I to be your assistant.”

You laugh, “It was one of the only ways I could convince you and my brother to hang out with me. Either ask to play Vet with me or cry to mom about not being able to play Guitar Hero with the two of you.”

Joe chuckled, “I love how your brain works.” You smile at the compliment as you take a sip of your margarita.

“What number margarita is that for you?” He asks.

“I’ve lost count at this point.” you answer. “Margaritas are the only alcoholic drink that I like… and it’s your fault that I started drinking margaritas.”

Joe raises his eyebrow, “It’s my fault?!” he curiously asks and you nod your head. “How is it my fault?”

“Yeah it’s your fault!” you exclaimed. “At my brother’s college graduation party, after you found out that I don’t like alcohol. You poured half of your margarita drink into a plastic cup and told me to try it.”

“I do remember that...” Joe says, “But I don’t think it’s my fault you love margaritas. Everyone loves a good margarita, there’s nothing to be ashamed of.”

“Trust me, I’m not ashamed of my love for margaritas.” you say before taking a sip of your drink. “The margaritas are the thing that’s keeping me calm and not causing me to have a nervous breakdown.”

“What’s making you so nervous?” he asked, cocking his head to the side.

you bluntly respond, “You.”

“Me?” He asks, pointing to himself. You nod your head.

“How am I making you nervous?” Joe asks.

you respond, “Because you’re you!”

“Because I’m Joe?” he asks.

“Because you’re Joe Burrow!” you answer.

“That’s my name.” he says and you roll your eyes. “You’re nervous around me because… there’s fame to my name?”

You shake your head, “No, I don’t view you as a celebrity… Sorry If that offends you.”

“Trust me, it doesn’t offend me.” Joe says.

“Good… cause I don’t think celebrity Joe Burrow would like it if I reveal his dark secret to football fans.”

“What dark secret?” Joe asked.

“The dark secret about you being my assistant when we played Vet as kids.” you answer and he laughs.

“Like that would be the worse narrative spread about me on Twitter.” he respond

“If it makes you any better… you’re my favorite system quarterback.” you say as he playfully rolls his eyes.

“That doesn’t make me feel better… but thanks for the compliment.” Joe states. “Now answer my question, why am I making you nervous?”

“I answered your question already…” you say.

“So explain your answer to the question then…” he responds, leaning forward over the kitchen counter and resting his chin on knuckles of his hand.

You put your margarita drink down on the kitchen counter and sighed, “I think you know the answer.”

He raises an eyebrow, “Oh really?!” You nod your head.

Joe stands up from where he sat o the stool and walked around the kitchen counter towards you. Your heart starts to beat faster in your chest with every step he took until he stood right in front of you… A million thoughts were running through your mind as you stood face to face in front of Joe.

The young nerdy boy grew up to be the most handsome man that you seen… Your male classmates from over the years couldn’t even compare him.

All you ever wanted from him was to be seen more as just his best friend’s little sister… and maybe now was your chance from him to see that.

The romantic novels you’ve read over the years about the little sister falling in love with their older brother’s best friend have prepared you for this moment.

You had imagined this moment so many times in head. There was a bit of a risk of the fact that anyone could walk from the backyard into the kitchen and could feel the unnamed tension between the two of you.

The voices in your head were screaming at you to lean forward and kiss him. Even if you were to regret it later, you can always blame the decision on the margaritas.

Before you could say anything, you watched him pick up the margarita drink off the kitchen counter and take a sip. “Thanks for the margarita drink.” he says, with a smile on his face as he turned away from you to walk out the door to go back to the backyard.

You were frozen still for a moment, trying to collect your thoughts… but you quickly realized what had just happened between the two of you and how all he wanted from you was your margarita drink.

“Give me back my margarita Joe Burrow!”

Cincy_News: When Bengals QB was asked by reporters during the press conference about what are his plans for the off-season, Joe Burrow answered that it’s still going to be some time before he’s able to test the ability of his right wrist.

But for right now he said that he’ll be enjoying the beginning of the off-season after the rough few months out of Ohio, spending quality time with the most important person in his life… then when he returns back to Ohio, it’ll be time to start focusing on the 2024 football season.

Joe Burrow watched the snow fall from the sky through the window in his girlfriend’s childhood bedroom… While the weather in Québec, Canada was very cold, the sun was still shining through the clouds and that gave Joe a little bit of hope that his mood could get better in the next couple of days.

There had been a lot of things on his mind during the past few weeks, but now that the off-season has started for him… Joe has had the time to let those thoughts take over his mindset and process everything that had happened during the past few months.

From the rumors about his private life, to the injuries, to the disagreements that he had with his teammates and coach staff, to the harassment from the media and how the high hopes for this season were all gone.

After everything that happened in the United States throughout these past few months, he just needed to get away from the country for a little while… so he took your parents’ offer to spend a couple of weeks in the beginning of the off-season in Québec in your old childhood home to spend time with family that you haven’t seen in a couple of months

If Joe listened closely, he could hear you speaking your fluent language of French to your parents who were laughing along with something that you had said… he couldn’t say that he knew the French language fluently, but maybe if he paid close attention to what you were saying he could understand a few French words.

Instead, his thoughts overwhelmed his mind and the voices from your parents’ kitchen were just background noises… Joe allowed himself to drown in his self-deprecating thoughts as he closes his eyes, trying to image himself to be anywhere that he couldn’t feel stuck in his own mind.

He tried to imagine himself somewhere that he knows he can feel at peace, but everytime he tried to imagine a place in his mind… He just imagines himself in the middle of a football field, in uniform ready to play a game alongside his teammates but it’s going to be months until he has the chance to play again.

The deep breathes he took while he rested on his back had you convinced that he was asleep when you had opened your childhood bedroom’s door, with a mug of hot chocolate in your hand.

Quietly, you tip-toe into the bedroom and place mug on the nightstand right next to your childhood bed… You sit down next to where he laid on the bed and placed your hand on top of his hands where they were rested on his chest, rubbing your thumb along the goosebumps on his skin.

Joe could feel you from the moment you had opened the door but he didn’t want to wake up yet, he could smell the hot chocolate that he knew were made by your mother… He couldn’t help but wonder if the conversation from the kitchen that he could hear when his mind was quiet was about him.

You were quiet as you watched him sleep, just like Joe there were a lot of thoughts going through your mind as well that you finally had time to process the past few days since you’ve been home in Canada.

“I’m not asleep if that’s what you’re thinking.” Joe mumbles, with his eyes still closed.

“I wasn’t thinking that…” you say.

Joe raises a questioning eyebrow before opening his eyes and sees you sitting in front of him with the prettiest smile that he has ever seen on your face.

He grabs your hand to hold as he fidgets with the promise ring that he gave you on your 1 year anniversary a few years ago on your right ring finger.

“How are you feeling?” you asked, “My parents are a worried about you cause you’ve been in here all day.”

Joe shrugs his shoulders, “I’m not in the worse mood but I’m not in the best mood either. I’m just existing as of right now… and tell your parents I’m fine, they don’t need to worry about me.”

“They’re going to worry about you because they care about you.” you respond “It’s okay to feel this way, as long as you’re existing that means you’re surviving.”

He nodded his head to acknowledge you that he understands what you said… You watched him furrows his eyebrows and purses his lips as his fingers fidgeted with the promise ring on your finger.

Over the past few days, the two of you had many conversations about the things that had happened within in past few months but also the things that are going to be happening the New Year.

You didn’t feel the need to talk to him about the thoughts going through his mind right now because it would just be repetitive conversations… Instead you reach over to the nightstand and grab the mug of hot chocolate to hand over to Joe.

Before taking the drink from your hand, he sits up on up the bed with his back against the headboard… As he took the mug from your hand, whispering a “Thank You” before taking a sip of the hot chocolate drink.

Joe hums in delight as the hot chocolate drink soothes his mind, taking another deep breath as he sips his drink and closes his eyes to enjoy it… Your mother’s famous hot chocolate drink is his favorite drink in the world, he feels at peace with the mug of hot chocolate in his hand and you sitting right next to him on the bed.

“This is the best hot chocolate that I’ve drank in my life.” Joe declares, resting his head back on the headboard.

“You say that every-time you drink my mom’s hot chocolate.” you giggle in response.

“I say it every time because it’s true.” Joe says, before taking another sip of the hot chocolate drink.

“Make sure you tell my mom that, she loves when the hot NFL Quarterback praises her hot chocolate cause it boosts her ego.” you exclaim, causing Joe to laugh.

As the minutes go by, he has taken more sips of his hot chocolate drink while the both of you watch the snow fall from the window… He felt relaxed as his mind had settled down from those overwhelming thoughts.

It was a peaceful atmosphere in your childhood bedroom, your body was now laying next to Joe as he had one arm around your shoulder as your head rested on his chest.

“I know we have snow in Cincinnati… but nothing will compare to the snowfall in Québec.” you whisper.

Joe hums in response, taking his last sip of the hot chocolate drink before reaching over to place the empty mug on your nightstand, “It is a pretty view.”

“It still is too cold to go outside and enjoy it.” you say, “But maybe if it gets a little warmer in a few days we can go outside and build a snowman.”

“Are you wanting to build a snowman just because we watched Frozen last night?” Joe asked.

“ ‘Do You Wanna Build A Snowman’ has been stuck in my head all day!” you exclaim. “But honestly, it’s been years since I’ve built a snowman… and maybe building a snowman can cheer you up from your mood swings.”

“I am cheered up… I told you that I’m fine.” Joe says.

“Did my mom’s hot chocolate cheer you up?” you ask, sitting up from your spot next to him.

"Your smile always cheers me up.” Joe answers, causing you to roll your eyes as your smile grew bigger.

“Stop trying to flirt with me and answer the question.” you exclaim, causing Joe to laugh.

“Alot of things that you and your parents have done for me since we’ve arrived here have helped cheer me up.” Joe says, “And I’m sorry for being in these mood swings since before our trip back here started.”

You pout as you lean forward to peck his lips, “You don’t need to apologize for anything. My parents and I just want you to be happy after the rough few months, and we’ll do what we need to do to help you.”

The prettiest smile that he’s ever seen appears on your face as you lean back from him, a rosy blush spreads across the cheeks of his face as a small smile appears.

You decide to kiss him on the lips one more time, before pulling away to stand up from the bed causing Joe to furrow his eyebrows and pout, “Where are you going?” he asks as you’re walking towards the door.

“I’m going get us a slice of pumpkin pie… I bet that’ll cheer you up more than a smile.” you state.

Joe shakes his head, “Trust me… Nothing is better than your smile.”

“Stop trying to flirt with me Burrow!” you exclaim causing him to laugh, before walking out the bedroom.

There are still alot of things that are on his mind, but none of those thoughts are about the things that happened in the past… Joe thought about the things that the two of you had talked about in regarding the future of the New Year, also he thought about the promise ring on your right ring finger that he was fidgeting with and how soon there would be a ring on your left ring finger.

the Bengals’ 2023 Football Season has come come to an end… and it’s truly a bittersweet feeling. A season that started out with so much hope and high exceptions for the great team ended with unexpected injuries and feelings of uncertainty of the future.

but, let’s not dwell on the past season and the what if’s scenario’s of what the season could’ve been without the injuries and without the important game losses…let’s look forward to the next season where Joe Burrow is going to be healed from his injury and will play on the football field then lead The Bengals to become Super Bowl Champions at the SuperDome in New Orleans!
