i know we're all sick of self-care being a marketing tactic now, but i don't think a lot of us have any other concept of self-care beyond what companies have tried to sell us, so i thought i'd share my favorite self-care hand out

I know SEVERAL afab nonbinary people who, as soon as they came out as nonbinary - immediately began dressing in ridiculous hyper-femme outfits they never would have worn before.  A lot of people see this and say shit like “Theyfab” or say they are only nonbinary for attention.  After all, look how femme they are.

But to me, this makes perfect sense.  When you are forced into the category of “woman” against your will, femininity is a chore.  It’s a job that you have.  As soon as you say no, I’m not a woman, suddenly femininity isn’t your job anymore.  It’s not a requirement.  It’s just a fun hobby you can get into.  Or a little treat sometimes.

Reminder that nonbinary people aren't just "neutral" or "not male or female"

Sometimes they're;

Both !!

Neither !!

Half male !!

Half female !!

Sometimes male !!

Sometimes female !!

Sometimes both !!

Sometimes neither !!

Male and nonbinary !!

Female and nonbinary !!

Every concievable gender !!

Genders beyond comprehension !!!

AND MOREEEE !!!

Nonbinary people are NOT BINARY !! So don't expect them to make sense , to not be contradictory or to fit nicely into a third little box next to male and female !!!

Hey, look at me. We're gonna make the Lilo and Stitch live action flop, right? It's just as much as a soulless cash grab as all of the other live actions, but this one also whitewashes the characters and removes any sort of critique of tourism- an industry actively detrimental to Hawaii and its people- and serves as a giant ad for Disney's Hawaii hotel to make the problem worse.
