reading all that just made me love fincher’s vision of se7en even more and more importantly brad’s rendition of david even more , those two are like the main ingredients to a perfect gourmet meal and i am KISSING my fingers over it
#the scene where they bribe a homeless person to have them lie and testify to the policeman about a reasonable cause#stood out to me in the script cause when david goes to give them the money he tells them 'go drink yourself happy'#when david quite literally says the opposite in the film#and im just happy with the way things like that panned out in finality bc#even though david is an annoying shitbag with skewed morals and a lack of understanding towards humanity#awfully too frustrated with anyone outside of normalcy#or rather his normalcy#it is still in his instincts to be good or to at least /try/ to be good#bc while i have a feeling his parents somewhat failed to raise him a right away he was still steered in the right path eventually#thanks to his high school sweetheart <3#and in the script david is naturally a well civilized person but there are one too many red flags leading up to the big bang#it makes it too obvious; one too many moments where david presenting himself to be angry more often than not#screaming a bunch and even throwing a lamp at one point#in the film david is calmer and has //somewhat// of a grapple of his own emotions until they're all too difficult to deal with#and i like it bc it's subtle#and it doesn't make you think he will have anything to do with the fate of the ending bc he seems no more than simple#unless you've rewatched it a thousand times like i have!!!!!!!#basically what i'm trying to say is david is rotten with wrath but he's just better at hiding it unlike other people#anyway if ur reading this#why? <3#i've done what i needed to do here today#i've RAMBLED and now im going to sleep#⁰ 𝙾𝙾𝙲 [ production credit : new york city sewer rat ]
