"what do you think about this one?" eunae turns to mattheo, holding up a holiday sweater. she inspects the fabric as she holds it to her torso, trying to gauge whether it's comically too large or passable for it's purpose. ugly sweaters aren't expected to fit perfectly, after all. "it feels soft, but i don't know . . . " the pianist trails off, squinting her eyes at the fabric. her fingers make their way to the price tag, and her eyes widen looking at the price. "actually, i think i'll pass on this one," eunae says, folding the sweater neatly and placing it back on the display table in front of her. "they were charging an arm and a leg for that one," she whispers to her companion, making sure the shopkeep can't hear them. "better off going to the thrift store," the pianist says with a roll of her eyes. "what about you?" she asks, voice returning to a normal volume. "find anything?"
mattheo’s eyes widen a bit as eunae shows him the sweater, he tilts his head in an attempt to see if it’ll look better from another angle. “well if you’re trying to win an ugly christmas sweater competition, that sure is a good choice” he shows a smile, “if the cat was black, my grandma would buy it and force me to wear it since it would’ve looked like her cat” he shrugs. “you could gift that sweater to someone you dislike”.
“charging so much for something like that should be a crime”. he hums, “i found a pair of socks with cute little reindeers on it, which also cost way more than what socks should cost” he shrugs “if i was rich i’d buy them, but i’m not, so someone else can buy them”. “i want to buy something for my grandma, but i feel like that woman has everything already”.

"i love gifting things to people, but my brother makes it so tough." with that, jueun let out a frustrated sigh as she looked at some of the booths surrounding them at the market. she loved these sort of holiday markets because they were filled with creative trinkets and inspirational ornaments that would look great on her instagram feed as well. "everytime i get him something, his response is so lukewarm! it really ruins all the fun." she lets out another huff of breath before picking up a santa clause ornament. again, it was absolutely adorable, but she doubts her brother will be a fan. "do you think i should just gift him cash or something?" she snorts at the idea. while she didn't think it was a bad idea, it just didn't feel like her. jueun was all about customized, well thought-out gifts. "do you have anything to shop for yourself?"
mattheo loves giving gifts, but he’s never really had many to give gifts to, especially not after moving to korea. in australia he gave birthday presents to friends, but during christmas it had always only been his dad he gave gifts to. then he moved to korea, and now the only person mattheo gives gifts to during christmas is his grandmother.
“my grandmother is the opposite, i can gift her anything and she’ll be happy, could give her a banana and she’d cry tears of joy” he shrugs. “i never know which presents she likes more because she gives the same reactions to everything, but i suppose that’s better than lukewarm reactions”.
“how old was your brother again?”.
“i wanna look for something for my grandma”.

"ah, thank you, you're kind." she says honestly, brushing hair behind her ear as she looks up at him. "Oh Mattheo." She repeats as if letting herself get used to it, but she hears the nickname and nods. "I like both. Which one do you prefer?" She questions as she adjusts her shirt, before she hears him and offers a deeper blush on her cheeks. "Oh, I... well I've done all sorts of things since I was younger. I was on the dance team in high school, but it's been a while since I've done anything like that. "You're pretty good, too, you know." She compliments.
mattheo hums at the question, ‘which does he like better?’, it’s a good question, one matt hasn’t thought about before. most people call him dal, the ones calling him mattheo are usually his foreigner friends or hid dad. he answers with a shrug “i like both, don’t think i have a favourite or preference, so you can call me whatever you want, i like nicknames too” he shows the other a smile.
mattheo shakes his head “i hope to become a good dancer some day, but i don’t think it’s the day yet” he chuckles. “you were on your high schools dance team? how old are you now, you’ve been dancing for a while?”. “i hope to become an idol one day, but so far my dancing skills are quite bad, do you have any tips?” he shows a smile.

beyuji
“probably not.” yuji says quietly, staring at the male with a pensive look. she’s not sure if anyone would grade that comment that high. or she’d hope– at least. she’d worry more about society that way. yuji watches him with a critical eye as he stands up. her eyes move from his feet, to the puddle then to his form– at the ready to step back if the clumsy stranger slips up again. he doesn’t right away, thankfully. yuji lets out a little sigh of relief, nodding her head in agreement. “that might be best.” she comments, corner of her mouth twitching at the corner when he smiles. her eyes move to the puddle, then back to him– blinking slowly at him before raising an eyebrow. she trusts that he’d save her as far as she could throw him. she’s sure he’d try though– but yuji is sure something klutzy would happen in the attempt. “i’m not much of a puddle jumper.” her shoes will get wet, and she’s not prepared to go have to buy a new pair if the water damages them too much. “i like being out in the rain, but i don’t like getting wet.” she muses, huffing a soft laugh under her breath. it’s a little silly, when she thinks about it. the vibe of the rain has only been something she enjoyed. she worries too much about her health to go and play around in it, and it’s far more inconvenient to clean up after playing in the rain than it is to just decide not to do it. “aren’t you worried you’ll catch a cold?”
mattheo loves rain, there never was much rain when he lived in australia. the country was hot, he was forced to almost always wear shorts and shirts or he’d die from the heat. in korea he got to wear his warm comfortable sweatpants and hoodies, and he got to experience rain. maybe mattheo had lived in korea for more than two years now, but that didn’t make him any less excited to see rain. generally, he was very excited here in korea, about everything, everything that was different from australia. mattheo loved australia, but he’s pretty sure he loves korea more.
this isn’t mattheo’s first jumping in a puddle and falling, hell it isn’t even his first time that a stranger sees him jump into a puddle and fall, but that doesn’t make this less embarrassing. jumping around in puddles like a kid and having a stranger watch as he falls… twice!
“i guess being a puddle jumper is a dangerous job” he shrugs “not everyone is as brave as me” brave or dumb? “you could easily break a bone, such thing would never happen to me” good question, how has mattheo never broken a bone? “you… like the rain, but don’t like getting wet?” he tilts his head, confused, “not sure that one makes sense” he shrugs. “i’d argue jumping in puddles is worth the risk of getting sick, besides, if i do get sick, i know my grandma would shower me in delicious food” he shows a smile.

hyejin knew at the beginning it had been hard being away from home. her family was there and it sucked she didn't get to see them as much especially since she was a trainee now. sure facetiming was nice but being right beside them was so much better. at least with mattheo she got to hear the australian accent again. she missed it and loved having someone else who she could talk about her favorite things back home that she missed. this was the first time hyejin had got apple picking. she hadn't done this before but she was excited especially since she had a friend to do this with. "glad to hear that!"' she smiles brightly. "ooo, i'm sure she would easily. i am! my grandparents always loved making different things with apples and i'd be right there to help even though i didn't know what i was doing."
mattheo made sure to always have time for his friends, which was easy enough since he doesn’t have a lot of friends. he might’ve been in the country for two years, but he continues struggling to make friends. he’s mostly just working, practicing his singing or visiting his grandma. so when a friend wants to spend time, it’s easy to say yes, he’s not a very busy man, doesn’t have a lot of plans with other people, so he prioritizes the friends he does have very highly.
“there’s so many things you can do with apples, or fruit in general” he shows a smile “apple pie, apple juice, my grandmother sometimes adds apples to her kimchi or dumplings” , “i hope to become as good of a cook as her one day” which truthfully, probably won’t happen. “i used to eat so many apples back in australia, don’t eat them as much now”.

food was something mattheo had become very fond of, whether it was his grandmother’s or just simply the food from seven-eleven. matt found himself snacking a lot, and he was happy to cook with his grandmother or simply just eat her food. food brought him together with other people, whether it was cooking together, eating together or recommending other’s your favourite snacks.
when matt heard of the christmas market, he knew he would go, and likely force friends to come along. daeho was someone who went to the seven-eleven mattheo worked at, over time they’d become friends, and now they were going to the christmas market together. “there’s so many food stalls…” mattheo looks around “at the end of today we’ll be poor and our tummies full” he chuckles.

"oh man, yeah i should too- my roommate hasn't complained yet but anything's possible." siwoo probably wouldn't be an asshole about it if he was annoyed by dohyun's practising, he was sure enough about that. it's not like dohyun was home much to do anything more than sleep unless it was the weekend. the vocal runs he was learning were probably horrible to hear, he could admit. "good choice... i think, for me, maybe a quartz song? but i haven't done some osts in a while so maybe one of those." he hummed and tapped playfully at his chin as he looked over at mattheo. "too bad we'd probably get kicked out if we tried smuggling in guitars- is it acoustic you play? i'm surprised this never came up before with us, i play too, electric and acoustic!"
the thought of the other people in his apartment building possibly hearing gave him mixed feelings. sure mattheo was chasing the idol dream, but he mostly just sang and played for either himself or his grandmother. he’d played for a few friends, but only when they asked him to. mattheo didn’t sing for a lot of people, even though it was his dream to stand on a stage and sing for a lot of people. mattheo wished to sing more freely around people, but for now he didn’t feel like he was good enough to sing in front of others.
dohyun was an exception though, mattheo would gladly come along to karaoke and sing with and for the other.
“we gotta sing some duets together too, do you know how to rap dohyun? i still suck at that” he giggles. “i think it would be difficult sneaking in a whole guitar… maybe an air guitar would be possible”.

this was from a group she was growing to like. so many of her classmates had been into this sort of thing, and when she took up dancing again, it was inevitable that there would be more of the popular songs on the list. she had learned this solo, too, in the confines of a rented studio, but it was proving to pay off here. and he's not that bad of a partner, which makes the experience even more fun. when it's over, she's blushing a bit, pushing back hair that had fallen out of place, looking over at him with a tiny bow and smile at him as well, before sticking out her hand for him to shake if he wanted. "ah, thanks, you too! uh... i'm dana. i probably should have said that before all of that."
things in korea weren’t going as quickly as mattheo thought they would. mattheo thought he quickly would’ve had a lot of friends, he hadn’t expected that he still wouldn’t be a trainee. it was a bit difficult that he still didn’t have a lot of friends, that he was still getting rejected from every company he auditioned to. but he was optimistic, he’d get there one day. for now he would continue practicing his singing and he’d continue trying his best to make friends.
“i like your name” the blonde shows a broad smile on his lips. “my name is mattheo! though if that’s too difficult to pronounce, most people call me dal” ‘most people’ aka, his colleagues and the children he teach. “have you been dancing for long? you did really well out there!” and his smile continues staying on his lips.

"just miss your voice"
...
mattheo’s dad had always been supportive of mattheo, no matter what. high grade on his homework, congrats! he just manages to pass? congrats! he was supportive, no matter the result, he’d always made sure to make mattheo feel loved, feel worth it. but no matter how supportive his dad was, mattheo could feel it, the mixed feelings when he decided to move to korea to become an idol. there was a smile on mattheo’s dad lips when he told him of his plans, there was always a smile on his dad’s lips, but that one felt different, and mattheo couldn’t quite figure out why. it’d for a long while been just them, mattheo didn’t have many friends, and no best friends, and the same for his dad, they were dependent on each other. mattheo wondered, when he left for korea, would his dad feel more lonely, or would he finally have time to go out and make friends?
they called often, of course they did, they were still each other’s best friends, and would continue to be forever. it was difficult finding time for it, mostly because of the different timezones, but the two always managed to make time for it.
it rings, mattheo is the one to call, unannounced today, but he misses his dad, doesn’t have time to agree upon a time, if his dad doesn't answer, they can find a time, but for now, he just hopes his dad has time though it’s not planned.
“mattheo!” there’s a smile on his dad’s lips, it’s a facetime, mattheo prefers regular calls, but his dad says he misses his face too much for regular calls, so it always ends up being facetime. “you called unannounced, did anything good happen?” mattheo has a habit of calling unannounced whenever he’s very happy or excited about something, but he shakes his head “nothing particularly good, i just missed you. i applied to a bunch of companies again, still didn’t make it though”. “awe, i’m sorry to hear that, but i know you’ll get there, before i know it, i’ll have a world famous son!” “kpop still isn’t that popular, i’ll have to become the next bts or twice for that to happen” “you’ll become bigger than that!” “you’re setting too high expectations dad, i have to become a trainee first y’know! i will say though, grandma says i look less awkward when i sing, i think i’ve finally figured out that presence thing you talked about!” “and dance?” “still not the best, but i’ll get there, i’m sure i will!”. “can i hear about your day, dad?”.
“well, i’m still a teacher, like always, i was a substitute for an english class today, i should’ve had you with me now that you teach english!” “not sure if that would’ve helped, i teach like six years old, you’re a high school teacher!” “ah you might be right, but you’ve been an english teacher so long, i think you’ve become better at me”. “i’ve spoken english since birth, so would make sense i’m better than you at english, just like you’re better than me at korean”, “don’t think that’ll hold long though, i used to speak only korean with you, and now when we chat we speak english” “ah but i just miss speaking english!” “i know, i know, and i don’t mind speaking english, but my korean is becoming rusty i think”, “call grandma, she only speaks korean” “and has grandma learned how to call yet?” “not unless i’m with her…” “exactly!” and a laugh escapes both of their lips.
“do you have time for a long call today?” his dad asks, “you can talk for a while? usually when i call out of nowhere you don’t have time”, “i’m ordering food today, thought i could send you money and you order food too, and then we talk while eating takeout, how does that sound?”, “i’m an adult and live in another continent and yet you manage to continue spoiling me”, “you deserve it”, and so, the talk continues for a while.

"no worries, no worries!" dohyun reaches out to pat lightly at mattheo's back before ushering them along down the familiar streets. "not too long, just worked out that i was a bit early." dohyun listens attentively as they walk, chuckling under his breath at the mental image of singing karaoke with a grandparent. "good change of scenery then, and you can find new material for her." he was a little tired of most of his singing being training-focussed and not just songs he felt in the mood to sing. he usually had to conserve his voice during the week if he wanted to avoid running himself hoarse. "there's been so many new releases since the last time we've been here- have a song in mind to start with?"
mattheo was thankful for the friends he’d made in korea. back in australia, mattheo had far more friends than here, friendships that had lasted long. but for some reason here in korea, it was both more difficult to make friends, and to have friends who stuck around. he’d befriended a lot of people, but only for them to forget about him. mattheo was a social butterfly, he valued time with friends, and as much as he loved his colleagues and grandmother, he wanted to see other people than just them. mattheo tried keeping people around, but for reason it was more difficult than he expected it to be. so the friends who he had managed to keep around meant lots to him.
he nods “i gotta find new stuff to sing and learn on the guitar, if the people below me can hear me and my guitar, they’d be annoyed about me playing the same songs over and over again” he smiles to the other.
“i gotta start with a bb girls song! they’re my favourite after all, any song you want to be the first?”.

“yeah, you’re right.” stevie snorts, unable to help but laugh at the comment. they’ll have fun regardless; even if his voice is filled with voice cracks, at least he can play it off like he’s having fun. there’s no coaches or trainers here to scold or frown at him if he does. just him, matt, and the spooky spider decorations lining their karaoke room. “well, there’s somewhere to start.” that narrows it down a bit. they can at least decide from there. “i think prizm’s in the morning could be fun. or we could do cherish run devil run?” that has a little bit of a high note, but they can just scream that if anything. “what do you think?” he directs the question to matt. “we could probably find a quartz song to do, too.” thankfully there’s so many groups with an immense discography they could try.
already now, mattheo is aware of he isn’t joining this karaoke contest to win. mattheo is a better singer now than when he moved to korea, but the male surely still has a long way to go. mattheo likes singing, it’s his whole reason for wanting to be an idol, and wanting to be an idol is his whole reason for moving to korea. mattheo might’ve been in korea for some time now, but the singing practice he does is by himself, he doesn’t have the money to pay for singing lessons. for now he’s not the best singer, but hopefully some day he’ll stand in front of a microphone, and what comes out of his mouth sounds good.
“let’s do prizm in the morning! we’ll have to do rap too which i suck at, but i think we could have fun with that song” he looks at the other blonde “unless you’re here to win, then we perhaps should choose a song without rap…” he shrugs. “run devil run is a nice one too, i’m a big fan of cherish” or generally any girl group. mattheo might struggle with naming a boy group, but any girl group member or song he could know in less than a second. “we should go karaoking some time together, but without it being a contest, and without people watching us, then we can sound awful together” he smiles to the other.

* ❁┆good enemy
now, she absentmindedly hangs out behind the counter. someone is in the store, so she doesn't want to play her switch and look like a lazy employee. she can't really afford to lose this job, after all, so she just inspects her newly painted nails, then looks up, observing the customer from time to time. eventually, her eyebrows furrow together, because he's acting a little strange. maybe it's nayoung, a snake, being able to detect a fellow snake, but she feels like something isn't right. she grabs some bags of chips that she knows need to be restocked anyway as an excuse, then heads into the aisle the strange man currently occupies. "what are you doing?" she asks him, tone already indicating her suspicion and unamusement.
* ❁┆@bexmatt
mattheo likes working in the 7-11, not that it’s his dream job, for now being a teacher and 7-11 employee is only temporary, he’ll become a trainee soon, he’s sure, and he’ll manage to debut, he’s sure. working in the 7-11 is a chance to see other people than who he usually sees, not that he really speaks with the costumers at the store, he speaks a lot with the elderly, who seems to have taken a liking in him (for some reasons he’s popular with the elderly). working in the 7-11 isn’t too difficult, there’s a lot of putting places the correct places, but sitting behind the counter is relaxing, he doesn’t really do anything, just sings softly along the music playing (and he gets to make the playlist).
mattheo speaks well with his boss, though he does find that man… special… interesting? he takes his job very seriously, though this is just a 7-11. he’s many times showed mattheo the correct way to put things on the shelves, he’s many times let mattheo know how to greet customers, and if someone asks for mattheo’s name, he’s got to use his korean name, not that he really minds, his korean name is nice too. sometimes mattheo feels like his boss takes this job too seriously, but then again, everyone needs something to be passionate about.
still, this felt like too much… mattheo was working right now, yet he wasn’t even in 7-11, his boss has stayed behind, and sent matt on a mission. going to a convenience store, not just any, but the one who “steals all their costumers” (accordingly to mattheo’s boss). mattheo had been sent to find out if they did something special to get costumers, and to check out the prizes. he walks around, checking out the prizes and tries to see if they do anything special, and then he gets noticed.
“what am i doing?” he stands still, his mind trying to think though not much goes on up there. “i’m just… shopping? that’s what you do at a convenience store… right?” he looks down, should he have changed out of his 7-11 uniform?

"i'm haein!" she exclaimed pretty excitedly before giving him a beaming smile. while she had asked him for a duet, she didn't have a song in mind. she looked at the list of popular songs that were on the wall, contemplating on whether they should go for something more heart wrenching or something fun. from her experience, she knew that something exciting and with lots of screaming was usually picked up better, but she wasn't entirely sure what mattheo would be comfortable with. "this is going to be silly because i'm the one who asked for the duet, but did you know any off the top of your head? or anything you're more comfortable with? because if not, i'm kind of leaning towards nagging by iu, even if it ridiculously high," she admits with a scrunch of her brows. haein felt that it was in the middle of being fun and soft although it was definitely not a fit for the halloween mood.
sometimes mattheo felt bad about moving so quickly to korea. he moved here to chase his dream, but he came here without any talent. if he’d stayed behind in australia, perhaps his dad could help pay for singing lessons, be supportive while being by his side. but mattheo had quickly arrived in korea, too short on money to get professional singing lessons, so instead he tried teaching himself. he was learning slowly, that was the truth, but he loved singing so much, hopefully one day he’d be able to catch his dream.
mattheo enjoyed karaoke, but he didn’t have a lot of friends, and going to karaoke alone just wasn’t as fun. here he was though, going to a karaoke event alone, but luck had been on his side, and he found someone to sing karaoke with. “we can do nagging, but, i won’t promise i can sing that high!” he shows a smile, mattheo hopes to one day be able to do high notes, but for now, he’s not that good.

The chorus starts quickly, and there's a tiny part of her that's grateful that she learns as quickly as she does, and her stomach does a flip. She danced in public before, being on a whole dance team tended to come with that, but this was a little bit different and she wasn't the most used to doing it with a partner. He speaks again, nodding a bit with a soft smile and a bit of a nervous chuckle that leaves her lips. She liked the song, and the choreography that came with it, so it's easy to follow along. She was a hair nervous about dancing with a stranger, too, but she tries to think about it too much, mouthing the words with a bit of ease before the duo part comes, she offers a smile at him as she starts dancing his way.
this wasn’t mattheo’s first random play dance event. though the male truthfully still sucked at dance, he’d take any opportunity to dance, he believed that events like these would improve his dance skills, practice makes perfect, or something… plus, mattheo had convinced himself in his mind that events like these would include more people that were interested in becoming an idol, and matt was desperate to find more people with the same interest as him: becoming an idol.
mattheo isn’t sure why he knows the duo part of this song, because he never dances with others, even when he joins random play dance events he’s usually by himself, usually not suddenly dancing with a stranger. but here he was, suddenly dancing with a stranger, perhaps learning this dance was meant to be, if he was lucky, the stranger would turn into a friend. he offers her a smile before he joins in on the dance, and the ending comes quicker than expected “you did so good!” the blonde says with a bright smile.

"still good for today right?" dohyun looks down at his recent kkt messages then back up to see if he can see mattheo around. they had planned to meet at the subway so they could walk over to the karaoke spot together but dohyun had arrived earlier than expected and was antsy. it'd been a while since they were able to meet up and hang since everything going on with his homelife and getting signed- he had pretty limited time to actually see the handful of friends he had that weren't training with him every day. they had met a few years back when dohyun accidentally walked into his karaoke booth mistaking it for his own and asked if the other wanted to join him next time since he noticed he was alone as well and seemed like he genuinely enjoyed singing. it was nice to have a singing buddy- one not associated with his band, or church, or anything else. someone who liked to sing and didn't really care what songs he chose and how seriously he took karaoke. "oh, hey!" he waved when he spotted the familiar head in the crowd coming from one of the entrances. "you made it."
mattheo wasn’t really ever early for anything, he was mostly on time, but was he not on time he was late, it was one or the other.
matt was thankful for any opportunity he got to get out of his house, that was something different than work or visiting his grandma, no shade to his grandma, but seeing her four times a week sometimes made it feel like she was his only friend. so mattheo was happy to go out with dohyun, and to do something he loved: singing. though mattheo often uses the subway, he’s still not the biggest fan, but he arrives and the blonde waves excitedly as he sees who he was meant to meet up with.
“i always make it” he shows a smile, “did you wait long? i feel like you always arrive before me” she shrugs. “excited to sing with someone rather than sit alone with my guitar at home, or my grandma does say she loves my singing, but i think i’ve sung for her like a million times now” another shrug.

besides screaming out lyrics on car rides and next gen-- stevie hasn't actually attempted singing in... a little bit of time. and truth be told, he feels like he can't be blamed. nothing ever good came from it, he doesn't even think anyone has said a nice thing about his voice. sure, karaoke isn't anywhere near to a professional and serious setting like next gen was-- but it's still a little daunting, at the core of it. but he'll make fun of it. stevie knows he's not a singer, not a great one, but if he's enjoying himself and making his friends laugh-- that's what matters the most to him. so he lets out an amused little giggle at matt's words. "haha, no worries! i won't judge. i don't think i can, either. wait til you hear me sing." he snorts. stevie's head tilts back as he thinks, letting out a long little hum as he does so. "we can, if you want! what song do you wanna do? like a new release, a throwback..." he trails off in thought. prizm's new song would be good; it'd be fun. "i'm uh. okay. i can sing...it's just a matter of if you'd think it sounds good i guess." he trails off in a mumble, a little laugh escaping him as he rubs at the side of his neck. "just don't give me any high notes or anything. that's just going to be a disaster."
mattheo was still quite the while away from being the best singer, but he enjoyed it still, he wanted to become better, he knew he had to start somewhere, so who cared about his poor singing skills now? they were better than a year ago, and in a year into the future they’ll be better than now. mattheo isn’t here to impress anyone with his singing tonight, he’s just here to sing, to have fun, to be with stevie.
“two negatives might make a positive” he shrugs as he gives a smile to the other, mattheo watched stevie during next gen, but he’s pretty sure he hasn’t heard the other sing live before. thinking about it, stevie probably also hasn’t heard him sing live before, he mostly sings for himself, his grandmother and her cat, but mattheo is set that someday he’ll sing live in front of thousands of people.
“we gotta pick a song without high notes then, because no way i’m doing any high notes either” he hums “what about a girl group song? i listen more to girl groups than boy groups” the blonde looks at the other.

seoul was... well... fast. it wasn't like san diego, which was both a good and bad thing. just as quickly as things were placed, plans made, people were moving on, to bigger and/or better things, and really she can't say she blamed them entirely. if you didn't move quickly, you got left behind, and... frankly she was sick of being on the short end of the stick. so instead of staying holed up in her room, watching the festivities pass her by, she finds herself smack dab in the middle of it, her the energy in the air seeming to keep her going. a few classmates had wanted to come out, and that's how she finds herself here, and even at her insisting she wasn't that good of a dancer, they had pushed her anyway. except, well she actually did know it-- to her surprise. dark eyes and turning to the source of the voice, seeing him and hearing the counts about to start. "the girl part!" she's speaking quickly before the chorus starts as she's slipping to the side, starting to dance it.
mattheo didn’t do much dancing, just because it was difficult to practice. mattheo could well practice his singing in his apartment with his guitar, but the people living beneath him would probably get angry if he danced. sometimes he danced at his grandmother’s place, but it was still not the ideal place to practice. mattheo just hoped if he improved hs singing enough, it’ll get him into a company where he’ll have time and space to practice dance. mattheo hasn’t tried choreographing himself, he can barely even dance, so why try? but there’s few choreos here and there he knows: like bite me.
the chorus comes quicker than he’d expected it to, so his body suddenly starts dancing, he yells back to the fellow person standing alone, “i know the boy part! wanna join me when the duo part begins?!”. it’s rather hard to dance and speak at the same time, but mattheo hopes the other heard his words and would like to join him.
