Thankful for a weekend getaway. 🏔It was work to get to this lake, 7.4 miles of work with home on our backs and over 3000 elevation gain. 🏔This is my favorite kind of workout! 🏔There is definitely more time this year to fit in some more backpacking! 🏔I’m pretty sure we didn’t have a decent meal, it was an all soup diet this weekend. Ok this might be a long post read it and comment as you wish 🤪 🏔took a day off from work as I have some time I need to expend or I’ll lose it at the end of the year 🏔set out to do 12 miles but ended up only doing a little under 8 as I forgot my knee brace, best decision ever as my knee started to do it’s lovely annoying hurting almost at the end 🏔did the hike solo: I forgot how nice it was, though for a Friday many people were on this trail; I would imagine it’s way to busy for my liking on weekends 🏔noticed that I was smiling and happy when I called my sis after the hike - nature heals! 🏔found that a couple can just make on the trail and not mind their surroundings at all 😂🤪 🏔failure is ok - I had to make the decision to turn around early when I figured out I didn��t bring my brace and it was ok, the peak will still be there next time, I’ll be back for you 🏔still hike 7.9 miles and 2700 foot elevation gain 🏔I LOVE THE MOUNTAINS #takemeback #livelife #hikeit #hikingadventures #hikingtrails #angelesnationalforest #forestadventures #hikemore #enjoyoutdoors #outdoorlife #exploremore #outdoors #adventureiscalling #forest #wildernessheals #wildernessculture #beyondlimitsonfoot https://www.instagram.com/p/CD4j0u-BRMo/?igshid=1v23300c9uf1
