The night was very long that day. I was counting the days until I would give birth to my twins. I brought them names, and planned to wrap my body around them when the tents grew cold. But death was faster. 😭

We fled our home under shelling, and my father was in the hospital, unable to stand. I told them, "My father can't move." The soldier said, "It doesn't matter, leave." So we left... and my father was left alone, until his heart closed forever. 😔💔

On the way south, I walked for hours carrying two children in my belly, a bag in my hand, and the rest of my memories on my back.

I bled on the way.

I lost my twins there, on the asphalt, in front of my other children who couldn't even cry. 😭😭

The next day, I woke up and found them buried under the sand. No grave, no names.

Now, I'm seven months pregnant with my third child.

But anemia is tearing me apart, stress is breaking my head, and hunger is eating away at what's left of me.

I feel my baby pleading with me from within: "Mother, don't die."

And I apologize to him every day... because I can't promise him life.

“I am Wissam… I lost my father, my children, my home, and even my voice.

I don’t want to lose this child too.

Help me before I become another memory in this broken land.

My father was the only one I could place all my hopes and dreams on. He was the one who lifted me up whenever I fell, and held my hand when my steps faltered. In those dark days of war, I saw him strong in front of me. Even in moments of silence, his presence was enough to make me feel safe. He wasn't just the father I loved, he was my refuge, the hope I lived by. 😭💔

But one day, suddenly, that hope disappeared.

The sky was covered with heavy clouds, as if it knew what was going to happen. That day, I was at home, climbing on my tiptoes, holding on to any glimmer of hope, but when I entered our small room, I found my mother in the corner of the room crying, her face pale, her eyes filled with tears, and her mouth almost unable to speak. 💔😭

I couldn't believe what she was saying. My father, who had always been the strength in my life, was gone. In an instant, everything disappeared, and the words kept repeating in my head without me being able to understand them. "He's not coming back." Those words were harder than any blow I had ever received in my life. 😭😭

I felt like I was in a dark dream. How could my father disappear like that? How could time go on without his voice, without me seeing his face again? How much I needed him in those moments, how much I needed to hear his words of reassurance. But it was all over, and all that remained was the silence filling the emptiness around me. 💔

Every corner of the house became a tragedy. Everything reminded me of him, every corner, every smell, everything. I thought I would lose my ability to breathe. His absence was heavier than anything else. I cannot imagine a world without him, and I cannot see a future without his advice, without a hand to lift me up whenever I feel like I am drowning.

As I sit here, in that dark room, I remember everything about my father. How he used to laugh when I made small mistakes, how he used to hug me when the world was dark, and how his words filled my life with meaning. But now he's not here, and the emptiness in my heart can't be filled with anything else. Every time I close my eyes, I see him in every corner. I feel him, but I can't touch him. And despite all the pain, despite all the sadness, I know he's not coming back, that he's left me in this world, to face it alone.

He's gone, but a part of him, a part of his soul, will remain in my heart forever. Even though I can't hear his voice or see him, I carry his memories with me every step of the way, every moment. I've lost him, but I can never forget him.😭😔

The Curious-Sancho Chronicles - 1

Nova finally moved out of her fire-prone apartment in Mt Komorebi. Now that she got promoted to The Next Big Thing, she had requested relocation assistance to move to the San Myshuno branch of Rainy Day Entertainment. Maybe in the back of her head she knew Lewis also used to work in that branch before he was laid off... but it's not like she knew where he lived these days!

Look, that out-of-character moment with Lewis in her cramped Senbamachi bedroom was a product of repressed emotions and an unresolved Foxbury rivalry. It's in the past just like her obnoxiously useless landlord. So why is it that fate led her to rent the only unit across from Lewis Sancho!? She was not going to break yet another lease to avoid Lewis... and why should he get to stay here while she left again?

LEWIS: "Well well well. You followed me all the way to San Myshuno, Tuna Head?" *Cheshire grin*

NOVA: "You are not the center of my life. I have a job, Lewis. Remember?"

LEWIS: "Ouch," *Lewis scoffs* "I see you're a proud cog in the machine."

NOVA: "So I'm a cog now that you're laid off? You weren't saying that back in college when you were a teacher's pet." *Nova retorts*

LEWIS: "Alright, whatever. I just thought you were serious when I asked you to quit and join me in freelance." *Lewis sighs*

NOVA: "Well with my promotion I can do more start-up work. Rainy Day Entertainment wants to diversify."

LEWIS: "Are they backing you?" *Lewis holds Nova's gaze*

NOVA: "They want to see... if I can get this off the ground first before investing." *Nova avoids Lewis*

LEWIS: "Nova, seriously. I know you're ambitious, but really consider doing this freelance thing with me. We can build our own start up completely free from the corporate machine." *Lewis grabs Nova's hand* "Don't let them sell your brilliant mind to their shareholders."

NOVA: "Um... is that a living statue?" *deflects* "That mural looks cool!" *Nova grins* "Let's take a pic! #FirstDayInSanMyshuno"

Nova and Lewis head back to their apartments.

NOVA: "So has your interior decorating improved?" *giggles*

LEWIS: "Take a look." *confident*

Nova takes a tour of Lewis' apartment that ends in the bedroom.

NOVA: "Dude, your place looks like your dorm in college. It's just the bare necessities in here!" *hearty laugh*

LEWIS: *grabs pillow* "All I need is in here." *starts pillow fight*

NOVA: "So that's why you need me to be your partner." *swings pillow*

LEWIS: "So you find me attractive?" *teases*

NOVA: "BUSINESS partner. Whether I find you very attractive or not isn't going to change my work aspirations." *flustered*

LEWIS: *ends pillow fight and chuckles* "Got it."

Just like before, this nostalgic playful moment lowers their guards. This time Nova spends the night.

The next morning they make breakfast together. As Lewis washes the dishes Nova remembers that time they snuck into her dad's lab. After accidentally splashing a beaker's contents on Lewis' hands Nova made him wash his hands raw for an hour.

NOVA: "Do you remember how we became friends? You were always great with sims, unafraid of anything. Meanwhile, I have to work for everything I have." *reflective*

LEWIS: "You're devoted. You always follow-through with your projects and they're incredible. You're a quiet genius, Nova."

NOVA: *face flushes* "..."

LEWIS: *holds gaze* "..."

NOVA: "I like this side of you." *Blows kiss half-jokingly*

Pleasant Creek - The Alternative Timeline - 2

In their spacious craftsman, Mary-Sue painstakingly crafted the perfect family with her husband Daniel Pleasant. Preoccupied with scaling the political ladder, Mary-Sue is happy she married a sim with extra time on his hands. Daniel used to wish Mary-Sue would make more time for him... now his time home is spent more pleasantly. Their perfect daughter Angela wants nothing more than to make the Pleasant name proud... and would if she'd just stay away from that sneaky Dustin kid from the other part of town. Lilith finds nothing pleasant about the Pleasant family; her formative years were spent alone in her bedroom plotting escape.

⚠️ ADVISORY: Malicious Mods, Identity Theft, Malware, and You ⚠️

Hey, all! Not sure how many people will see this, but if you do, please reblog. This is a 'little' post regarding a potentially big problem affecting the Sims 4 community. If you download mods/CC at all (and yes I know CC is a type of mod), this applies to you.

TL;DR: For the sake of your personal info, identity, bank account, et cetera, please STOP downloading any mods/CC for the time being. Especially from the following sites: CurseForge, ModTheSims, The Sims Resource. It doesn't matter if you know the creator or not. Give it at least a week while we all figure out what's going on. If you must, I would recommend only downloading directly from a creator's Patreon (assuming they have one).

Other people have written at length about the mods in question, so I'll just share their posts below.

What's going on?

From the Sims 4 After Dark Discord server (a server you should join if you're not in it already):

⚠️If you downloaded any mod listed in the above post and played the game with them installed, this is the cleaner program Kuttoe (creator of the Home Regions and Townie Demographics mods) mentioned in their post: GitHub - overwolf/sims4-social-events-cleaner: Source files and exe release for a tool to clean up your machine if you have downloaded the "Social Events - Unlimited Time" Sims 4 mod ⚠️

Got confirmation from Kuttoe that as long as you didn't boot up the game with the malicious mods installed (or deleted them completely from your computer before playing the game), you *should* be fine. Still, I recommend that anyone who thinks they might have downloaded any of them run the cleaner program.

So, to recap:

Fake mods were uploaded to Curseforge, ModTheSims, and The Sims Resource

@msqsimsofficial had their account compromised on 2 of those sites (they are a victim of hacking, so do not send them hate!)

If downloaded, these malicious mods have the ability to steal very sensitive info (your passwords, credit card info if saved somewhere in your browser, data)

As of right now, antivirus software may not be able to detect the malware

Mac and Linux users seem to be safe; Windows users are the ones that could be affected

Why is this happening?

Unsure. Lots of theories are being made by people far more knowledgeable than me, but from the looks of things, could be crypto bullshit and/or an attempt to steal your data and sell it. This is very, very serious, and could wreck your life if said data/personal info falls into the wrong hands.

It's always a good idea to change passwords every couple of months or so, but if you think you've been affected, you also need to change your passwords for things like online banking, email and social media accounts, healthcare sites AFTER running the cleaner.

What now?

I want to talk about how we approach modding our games and downloading files in general.

Please STOP downloading mod file folders from people who did not create the specific mods. Period. This includes Sim dumps, building/lots with CC, mod folders promoted on YouTube, etc. This does not mean that anyone sharing them is doing so maliciously. In fact, I appreciate the amount of effort people put into compiling these resources! But unless you're super careful (and super knowledgeable), you run the risk of downloading malware like this on your computer. Make no mistake, the malicious files in question look like run-of-the-mill, everyday mods. Two of them were even posted from a trustworthy creator's actual account! The only way to know what they actually do is to peek into the code, and idk about you, but I don't know Python. So even after this issue is resolved, you really should only download files from the creators themselves.

But what about CC shopping?

Here's how I like to approach it: I stick to lookbooks and combing through the Patreons/accounts of creators who make items I like. If I see a Sim dump with CC that I'm interested, I try to reach out to the poster and ask where they got specific CC. If I can't do that, I see if it was shared via Drive, look at the individual files themselves, then head to the original CC creator's official download page and get it from the source.

now, these are bg recolours with the exception of one item which is growing together. i added texture & some nice basic colours. the original concept was inspired by gap, but i changed it to bby to be on theme & decided to go with simlish instead.

Horse Ranch 5 - From Sunset to Sunrise

After some time working on Almaz's ranch, Iyasu decided it was time for him to move on. Though somewhat bittersweet, Almaz knew that their agreement was temporary. To her surprise, a week or so later he invited her to the local festival in town.

Almaz: "I haven't heard from you in weeks." *surprised* "I thought you moved out of town!"

Iyasu: "I've been around, working jobs." *grins* "Did you miss me?"

Almaz: "Uh..." *flustered* "Want to play darts?"

Iyasu: "You play?" *raises eyebrow*

Almaz: "Nope! But I challenge you to a 10-point game."

Iyasu: "You sure you haven't played before?" *chuckles*

Almaz: "I guess I have a lot of hidden talents." *laughs*

Suddenly, it starts lightly snowing.

Iyasu: "Let's light the campfire." *rubs hands together*

The wind picks up and extinguishes the campfire.

Almaz: "Goodness gracious! It's getting way too cold! Want to go back to my place?" *shivers*

By the time they arrived at the ranch a full blizzard was in action.

Almaz: "Why don't you light the fireplace? I'll make some tea."

Iyasu: "You know..." *sips tea* "Your place is real cozy at night."

Almaz: "Anywhere under cover is 'cozy' during a blizzard!" *giggles*

Iyasu: "You know... I've actually been in-between places." *looks around* "It must be nice to come home to this."

Almaz: "Well, I like when you come home." *very relaxed*

Iyasu: "What?"

Almaz: "I mean when you work here!" *embarrassed* "Not..."

Iyasu: "..." *awkward* "Okay."

Almaz: "Sorry!" *salvaging moment* "I just meant it was nice to have help around the ranch!"

Iyasu: "I got you." *laughs* "It must be hard to run a ranch alone."

Almaz: "Right!" *looks out window* "The sun is rising. I think we've been talking all night!"

Iyasu: "I didn't even notice." *pats clothes* "I guess I'm off! Thanks for putting me up."
