Im gonna be honest, the first time I fully listened to Razia’s Shadow was yesterday.

Up until that point I had just been playing Toba the Tura on repeat because goddamn does that song go hard.

Okay so idk if YouTuber aus are still a thing anymore but fuck it.

Zukka modern au but it's still set in the atla-verse. Sokka is a YouTuber who probably has idk a popular gaming channel or something I guess, he seems like he'd be That Guy

He talks about his boyfriend sometimes but never in much detail. Like it's just.

During a live stream: "DRUK! GET DOWN FROM THERE!" *spray bottle noises* "Sorry, my boyfriend's dragon keeps getting on the table." (Zuko, off-camera: HE'S OUR DRAGON, SOKKA.)

It's all very vague. Not purposely, really, it's just that he never has a reason to go into the details of his relationship, as much as he loves Zuko that's not what his channel is about. But then one day he's doing a live stream and he mentions that he's a trained swordsman and half the comments are just something along the lines of "prove it"

And Sokka is not one to refuse a challenge

"HEY JERKBENDER, GET IN HERE! AND BRING YOUR SWORDS!"

Zuko wins the ensuing match, of course, but it's a close one. Later, Sokka's followers will consider apologizing for ever doubting him, but right now all the comments are some variation of "IS THAT THE FUCKING FIRELORD"

zukka au where aunt wu looks straight at sokka and instead of telling him that his future is full of pain and anguish caused by his own hand, she tells him that he’s going to marry the fire lord and sokka is like “EXCUSE ME?”

As someone who lived through the later 2000/ early 2010 kataang v zutara ship wars, let me tell you I was NOT prepared for the new generation of ATLA fans to hit me with Zukka being their favorite ship

I hc zuko as a surprisingly good artist... like he never had the time to explore visual arts as a kid and most definitely not while searching for the gaang, but I image sokka would get so excited drawing and coloring that he forces zuko to participate. thus leading to zuko realizing 1) that it’s actually kinda fun and 2) that he isn’t half bad. also sokka is kinda jealous that zuko is really good but he’s mostly j happy that zuko is enjoying himself -e

I love this headcanon! Zuko would totally be a good artist. A few points for your consideration: 

since he’s royalty, when he was younger, he had a bunch of different royal advisors and classes 

among those were firebending, swords with master piandao, but also the arts 

he learns to paint at a really young age and shows them to his mother who keeps them before learning that his father, who is a shitty human, would just set them on fire 

when he gets banished, he has no time to draw anymore because he WANTS HIS HONOR BACK 

so when he finally draws again he really does enjoy it and thinks that his uncle would be proud of the work he’s done 

sokka is very proud of his boyfriend and even though he’s jealous sometimes, they just spend time together drawing and being creative 

they spend quiet alone time together (reading a book, drinking tea, drawing anything like that) 

they try to draw each other one time and zuko tries not to laugh a little when he sees sokka’s rendition of him because he was really trying, it’s endearing really 

sokka on the otherhand is taken back by zuko’s because he thinks he’s attractive, but he can’t be beautiful like that 

zuko sketches sokka all the time now that he’s drawing again

when he gets his hand on random pieces of paper, the corners will have little sketches of sokka and turtleducks 

he especially likes to draw sokka when he’s asleep, napping in the same room 

sokka still enjoys the process of drawing, but he mainly leaves it to zuko now. 

instead, he works on new haikus and even writes a play once (because he has a knack for it) 

firelord zuko demands that the ember island players act out sokka’s play because the gaang thinks that it would be fun 

bonus: modern!au where sokka is a writer and zuko is a freelance artist and they team up to write a comic book (what if they write/draw korra together, wouldn’t that be fun?)
