Beautiful Thursday you all!

Today is a very productive day. I already got so much work done and I’m very happy about that! It is a little hard sometimes to keep being energetic and motivated but I always try my best!

I hope you guys are having a productive and nice day too!

I‘m very happy about how my notes turned out today :)

My study tip for today:

Drink enough water when you are studying. It keeps you energetic and awake and is good for your health and skin! And don’t forget to be grateful to yourself, you’re doing great!

Exams start next week and the uni library is so full that I’ve had to come to a coffee shop instead. I can’t wait for my forensics exam to be over 💀 (three more days)

8/8/2021 - Summer Studying Challenge

Took a short break and finally back to studying. I wasn’t feeling very motivated lately so I took a break and recharge myself. I’m finally back to my usual study routine and focused quite well today!

I was thinking (grieving) about Palestine and about art as resistance to oppression. I went to find some old notes I made on Mona Hatoum’s work – apparently when I was obsessed with her I also loved a really long sentence and overusing the words ‘subvert’, ‘context’, etc 😅 anyway I thought I would share as I still find her work so incredibly moving as it describes the Palestinian experience of exile under Israel’s oppressive regime. Edward Said says it best, as usual

☀️ Day 18 of My 2021 Summer Studying Challenge! ☀️

18th July -  How do you stay motivated during the summer? (for example, to study)

for me, at any time of the year, i kinda just let my motivation be naturally what it is and on days when i’m more motivated i’ll do more, and on days when i have zero motivation, i’ll just relax and do something different. the best thing about summer is that it’s very easy to do that because i have no upcoming deadlines cause i’m not in school!

it is incredibly hot in my house right now cause we’ve got a bit of a heatwave but british houses are built to keep heat in not out so it is hotter inside my house than actually outside. and as i’m sure many of you know or have figured out, i am TERRIBLE in the heat so i’m not having the best time 🥵

Productivity challenge (8/100)

I prepared my presentation for my project viva and did some office work for my part time job. I saw a movie, did some reading, practiced meditation and listened to an audiobook. To top it off, I started an online course from Harvard. It's been a peaceful and eventful day <3
