"Too Early", painting by James Tissot (1870-72). Tissot is very popular painter in second half 19th century altough not so admired by art critics. He spealize at painting fashionable woman and upper class social event sometimes with humour. "Too Early" satirize occasionally embarassing moment in Victorian era formal party when a guests sometimes come to early. We can see the house mistress at left still give a guide to musician, two housemaid eavesdropping at the half opened door; giggling to "too early" guests.
