i have 2 entire wips i need to work on and instead of drawing both i just drew akane 😭😭😭😭 i neeeeeeeeeeeed to lock in dude the setsuka one might be posted later if i start on the shading today but im gonna have ice cream with friends and try to play more sdra2 but otherwise uh maybe drawing today or tomorrow again

i feel like some of you guys dont understand how much i have been rotting over akane.

im an oc artist. i drew fan art once every 3 months at best. I mainly focused on OCs and drawing stuff for my own projects. Before this I think my most drawn non OC character was Arei Nageishi from Despair Time, with a whopping 4ish drawings.

13 illustrations. I have drawn 13 Akanes in the past month. Since the first time i drew akane on 5/11, I have averaged an Akane related drawing every 3 days. I wouldnt be surprised if Akane has become my most drawn character since i don't ever remember drawing even 10 pieces with a character.

Before DRA, I was in a bit of a lazy slump especially when it came to being creative. I wouldn't really draw except for a daily magma I participated in. But even then I wouldn't do much crazy stuff. With the akane rot happening I have straight up just been drawing Akane and I tended to be motivated to draw because of Akane (I finally drew two non Akane pieces yesterday and today. Both are still wips but one I can't post on tumblr).

The Akane rot is real, I have learned how to do so many things and thought about doing so many things that I have never thought of doing beforehand. I'm learning to sew so that I can eventually make an Akane Fumo. I'm learning how to make cardboard cutouts to make an Akane cutout. I've thought about those sports cars where people decorate them with decals of characters and doing one with Akane. I have thought about how to make custom shirts, so that I can make custom shirts with Akane on them of art I've made or cool art I have found. I want to sew an Akane Costume and style a wig and dress up as Akane. Redecorating my entire room and dorm with Akane posters, and making custom buttons and pins. I even changed my wallpaper on my phone to Akane. I haven't touched or changed my wallpapers in over 4 years. Everytime I listen to a song I think of Akane. I have had several dreams where Akane was present. Literally after I completed chapter 5 of DRA I had a dream Akane protected me during a nightmare. All my socials have changed to Akane. Everything has become Akane now. This is the first time I have genuinely ever been obsessed over a character like this.

I always had a theory that everyone has the potential to become super obsessed over a character, like the church of maizono guy or the randy south park room, and its up to us to soul search and find this one character. Ive always been envious of other people who can just have one favorite character since I've always struggled with that, But now I found that one character. And it has feasted upon me for too long now.

Is there any Hope left for me?

the thought about making a post or video about chapter 2 and why i feel like kizuna is such an interesting and underrated character keeps coming to my mind so one day i may actually make a post about that

shes really interesting and all my friends do not like her as much as the others which kind of sucks but understandable... i mean her entire character can just be summarized as "fake as hell" but theres some kind of deeper stuff i noticed that explains why shes "fake as hell". shes mean through circumstance rather than just mean for being mean....

anyways im investigating sdra2 chapter 2 and wow this game does not throw punches with the bda that was the last person i thought would die and their death was probably the worst in the series. that must have been painful. at least with another similar death they were tied up for hours and only started getting burned for like a couple minutes. this was a cold and slow death oof

sometimes i go from shipping akame to yukane to tomaira and its crazy man.... i love doomed yuri with akane x ayame... i love how cute yuki x akane is (and the eventual toxic yaori it creates [bonus points if yuki is genderbent]), and kizuna x akane (toxic yuri).... one day will draw all of the ships..... because akane is a polyamorous bisexual QUEEN.

oh and theres also akane x kurokawa which i think is cute and is mainly only cuz of one moment in chapter 3 but im not as crazy for it

I may have locked in a little bit....

Basically she's yamatos stupid idol girl oc that he made into a self aware AI when he was younger (pre tragedy) with the intention of her being a program to just generally assist the Kisaragi Foundation. unfortunately she ends up getting lost once the tragedy happens, but after DRA the kisaragi foundation ends up finding her again and now they desperately want to get rid of her (and they would if she wasnt acutally useful) please save them.
