There is a super racist fic on the first page of the 'Carlos Reyes/TK Strand' tag right now (it's a crossover, I believe at this point it's on the second page of the 'Buck/Eddie' tag). It's been posted anonymously so you won't be able to block the author to avoid seeing it. It is tagged 'racism' so filtering that or 'MAGA' would also remove it from your view. The person seems based on the way they're responding in the comments to be enjoying all the hurt they have caused so I think not giving them any more attention is probably the best course of action, but take care of yourselves and protect each other. Avoid that tag for a few days if you need to, so the fic has a chance to be moved to the second or third page of new fics as others get posted.

You know what did it? What broke me? Was when Alex (FINALLY!!!) called Henry baby and the way his face just crumbled and all the fear and worry left his pretty face. I was destroyed… and then the “hurry” over them rushing into each other’s arms on the stairs.

A thought I had: I imagine that after the snap, everybody was alone. Like, I just imagine that the space they went to after was vast and no one really knew where anyone else was.

So, imagine, Sam was alone when he got dusted. He wakes up in that space and there’s not another soul for miles. After a few minutes of despair, as one should have, he gets up and starts walking.

He doesn’t even know where he’s walking to, or who he’ll run into, but part way through (I don’t believe there were nights/days so it’s all just one large day) he starts to feel this tug in his gut.

(A young, young part of him thinks of his Titi and how she’d tell stories of a red string of fate, always leading you to your “one”, no matter how twisted or knotted it is.)

He follows this gut tug, hoping beyond hope that it leads him to someone, anyone, at this point because he’s been alone for days? Weeks? He doesn’t understand time here.

Next thing he knows, he sees a shadow in the distance. More of a silhouette. Either way, the more it became clearer, the more Sam realized, it was a person!

So, naturally, he speeds up his pace a little more, but he also makes sure he keeps his wits about him the closer they get.

Now, imagine, the relief that washes over Sam, the way his shoulders drop, and tears almost come to his eyes as he sees a shiny glint towards the left side of the person.

Imagine the warm feeling in his chest as he gets closer and sees the medium length brown hair that desperately needs to be cut, but he won’t say anything because it does look good.

Imagine how his knees must get weak as Bucky realizes it’s Sam and starts running faster towards Sam. They narrowly miss tumbling to the ground as they embrace.

They have a heartfelt reunion and Sam realizes, as he stands next to Bucky, looking out at the orange horizon, that even if they don’t find another single person in this expansive place, he has Bucky.

And that’s all that he could need for now.
