That he’s squinted, nasty, and asking for a fist—finding yours when you prop him between a callus and a grip. “Get a matching one. What’s stopping you?” You narrow upon his lips: here he sucks—then licks away—before your thumb could join the party. He’s a shatter of broken glass that got the last laugh in the end; he’ll slice if you try anything. But you won’t—you ain’t a fucker. And say his right eye won’t be lonely if he tries to fight you. The little bastard.

When a gang’s fighting dirty, and the shinigami’s taken hits, a pair of knuckles (unseen) are out and ready to beat some shits. And if friendly fire’s bound to happen, could you blame them?
