Man it’s probably already been said before, but I LOVE Madoka Magica because how magical girls represent the purity and wonder of young girls. When they turn into witches it means they have lost that hope and wonder that all children have and turns them cruel because the world around made them.

Madoka Magica is the best anime because it has complex female characters, great writing, an interesting villain and a lot of heavy queer implications throughout the story

and yet, she still trusts kyoko more than anyone else 😭 that’s funny (and sad) asf

I like how the general consensus (which i wholeheartedly agree with) is that Kyoko is Homura's favorite after Madoka, and is the only magical girl Homura trusts to any extent, despite that fact that Kyoko doesn't actually cooperate with Homura anymore than the others. In fact, Kyoko is the only one who straight up lies to Homura, or rather goes back on her word. Like, Homura asked *two* things from her:

1) don't start fights

2)help fight Walpurgisnacht

LITERALLY THE SAME DAY Homura talks to Kyoko at the arcade about wanting to settle things with Sayaka "peacefully", Kyoko goes to Sayaka's house, makes fun of her wish, criticizes her ideals, and picks a fight.

After Sayaka witches out, while talking to Madoka Kyoko verbally acknowledges not only her alliance with Homura, but also that neither of them could beat Walpy by themselves. She then suicide bombs Oktavia, leaving Homura to fight alone (or with madoka, but y'know).

The bar for Homura's friendship is IN HELL, but so are the Holy quintet so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
