Summary:
Deborah Emerson, sister of Gareth and a close friend of Robin Buckley, had absolutely no idea how she got into that tangled situation.
It started with the goddamned cigarettes, processed into avoiding him, with the help of another friend who was helping Debbie make the other guy believe they are dating, so he'd leave her alone.

This is a pro Billy Hargrove blog.
Billy Hargrove deserved better. Like any victim of abuse. He deserved better.
Him lashing out due to his anger issues doesn't make him a monster you sickos. Do you know how many kids I've met in my life who are just like Billy ? Kids who snap easily and lash out at others ? Kids who are constantly on edge, cry all the time, get into fights, have silent panic attacks in the school bathroom walls ? Kids who are just like Billy.
These kids are still victims of abuse. They are in a state of survival. Their brain is doing whatever it can to protect itself from the trauma they endure closed doors.
Just because they don't fit into your idealised version of what a "perfect" abuse victim is (quiet, "pushover", reserved, always sad and never angry) doesn't mean he isn't one.
A lot of abused kids I've known in my life act very similarily to Billy. They deserve to feel better, to find comfort, to find love, to grow and heal.
Trauma reactions are different to everyone. I am the type of person that people consider, at first glance, as a "perfect" victim, or whatever bullshit they came up with. I've had classmates whose trauma reactions are very different from mine. Classmates who used to treat me like shit sometimes because they were hurt too didn't know any better.
I've never considered them to be any less worthy of support, just like they have never considered me to be any less worthy of support either.
Stop comparing abuse victims ! It's just fucking cruel. Stop comparing Billy to Jonathan or El. At least they had a support system. Billy had none. And you must have watched the show with your eyes closed since you obviously fail to realise that El and Billy have the exact same reactions to trauma : bottled up emotions, anger, extreme and intense emotions, short temper, over protectiveness of loved ones, attachment issues, reckless behavior etc. But because the show told you to like El and hate Billy, y'all just did so.
So, if you're a Billy anti, get the fuck out of my blog.
You don't have to like him.
That's not what I'm saying. And you know it.
I'm talking to those who hate him.
The Billy antis.
I'm addressing the Billy antis who normalize and justify the abuse he suffered, who find any bullshit excuse to defend those who hurt him, ignored him, abused him, and took advantage of him, of his vulnerability - Neil, Karen, Susan etc.
Billy Hargrove deserved SO MUCH better.
If you have any problem with that, please get the hell out of here.

Billy: How would you like your coffee?
Steve: As dark and as bitter as my soul.
Billy, shouting to someone behind the counter: I need one vanilla latte with extra cream and sugar!
