My newest...and in my opinion best track. I put a lot of thought into this track unlike my old songs it has a purpose. I hope everyone can understand this and share it. Share, repost, spread the word if you want.

Prelude of Light
"When the time is right the clock will strike
Allow for the force of your mind to write
The pen alive
Through the eyes of mine
To invite you all through the door of time
And my word is clear to be seen as right
Together the awakened ones will bind evil
And return to light"

Metaphors
I'm a writer first and rapper second, a musician all together and an average dude with the left overs. When I write (now) I ALWAYS think before I put it down. *Shrugs* (probably should have done that last year too). So for the present and future every song poem or just straight up thought I record will have  some type of meaning to it...there will always be the occasional ignorant shit, but my goal is to make ignorance the listener's bliss (inside joke). People who don't know, Sonic The Hamilton was and is the greatest creative album ever recorded. I wanna challenge everyone to write a whole album through the eyes of 'Sonic the Hedgehog' and tell a story and make it GOOD. Ready set go.... (Don't)
Lupe went in on the Cool and Food & Liquor. Concept again using crazy ass lyrics and wordplay to craft a story.
Now I didn't really set out to do a concept album, more or less really a collective concept. If you get it then I don't have to explain, if you don't then I still probably won't explain. Pleasantly Over Thinking is not going to be telling a long drawn out story. It's gonna be tracks that may or may not come together and may or may not tell a story. It's up to the listener. I know what they're about (obviously), but my goal is to make it open to interpretation what most of it is about because as you know I can't be next to you when you listen to it and break down every line.
I can say it'll be dope tho. That is all...

Pleasantly Over-Thinking: Everything in Every Thing
My music hasn't been developing lately. I could blame it on the popular opinion that i've hit a writer's block. Or what other's may state as laziness. Or my favorite, the 'experts' (yes the quotations are on purpose) call it giving up.
I'm not in a writer's block, I'm not lazy (quite the contrary), and no I have not given up. I call what I'm going through over thinking. Over thinking everything, but not everything as a whole but every thing as a single event. Thus, I'm over thinking everything in every thing. But the over thinking isn't a dissapointment but rather an enlightment, an awakening in some regards. I'm Pleasantly Over Thinking, and for once I'm beginning to fully understand my views and goals. Sorry for the abstract abstract on this *sighs* again this sounds abstract.
"Epiphany is symmetry and the fuel to give me energy; wait I mean inner peace, sorry I meant my inner chi. Staring wide with a closed mind will only lead to no finds. So I close my eyes expand my mind and find only gold mines."
"As the stories and tales leave in exhales my next breath will bring forth more than inhales."
I suppose I should give some insight to what I am saying...this is all a precursor to my newest project titled Pleasantly Over Thinking: Everything In Every Thing

My Top 5 Newcomers to Hip-Hop
5. Fashawn: The Grizzly City native may be under a lot of people's radars, but if you consider yourself a true rap fan you will immediately download this dude's music. I was hesitant on Fashawn when I saw he planned on remixing and re-doing Nas' critically acclaimed album, 'Illmatic'. I was curious as to whether or not he could pull it off, and holy shit did he prove me wrong. He sounds like a young, west coast Nas and has been able to really make some good music. His biggest problem is exposure, but I say if he keeps putting out gems like he has been he'll be ready to take the game by storm. It also doesn't hurt that he's got a good relationship with J. Cole, Exile, Blu, and XV.
Notable works: "Boy Meets World" "Higher Learning Vol. 1 & 2" "Ode To Illmatic"
4. Blu: He's not really a newcomer, but he's not well known, which is a slap in the face to real music. He's started to get a little more of a following since he was inducted into the All City Chess Club. Blu is perhaps the most lyrically-gifted rapper in the game; even Lupe has said that he intimidates him. Blu had critical acclaim for the album he did with producer Exile, "Below The Heavens" with his story-telling ability and uncanny double meanings he was able to slip in. If you haven't heard of Blu, you should by now. His biggest flaw is his inability or unwillingness to really move away from producer Exile and a lot of his songs sound the same. I would really want to see Blu take on a different direction, but even if he doesn't I'll still be listening.
Notable works: "Below the Heavens" (With Exile)
3. The Cool Kids: A duo with a lax, bass-happy style that seems to really come together. Their music may come accross lazier than a Snorlax who just smoked 1,000 blunts, but for some reason it's incredibly hard to stop listening to their music. Chuck and Mikey definitely go together like salt and pepper and their slow-paced intricate flows feed off one another. Not the deepest stories you're gonna hear, but you will definitely find something to take away from one of their songs. The production is usually handled by themselves and features a lot of bass and hardly ever do they sample. It's hard to describe, but it's something I could produce on Fruity Loops, but they seem to make it sound like it came from protools. Anyway the only drawback with the duo is their lack of exposure, like Fashawn, but they have been ready to release their heavily anticipated debut LP for a while; the question is through which label.
Notable works: "The Bake Sale EP" "Gone Fishin'"
2: Show TuFli: Show has been one of my favorite rappers since I heard him featured on Charles Hamilton's "Sonic The Hamilton". Keep in mind, Show probably is the least well-known of the bunch, but if you read the title this is MY opinion so I have to be somewhat biased. The first mixtape I downloaded from him was "This Fli Life" which plays like an album more than a mixtape. It was a catalog of music that was influenced from Charles Hamilton's debut LP, "This Perfect Life" and I really enjoyed it because he stayed away from the feature bug. It was practically only Show who was rapping. Then I got to downloading all of his tapes and have listened to them over and over again. He's got nice rhymes, but his beat selection really gets you hooked and with producers like Woody, Sha-Leik, and occasionally Charles Hamilton you can expect some catchy tunes. Show is probably my favorite to listen to on a daily basis, but he just doesn't provide the same lyrics as CH, which isn't a bad thing because he is not CH. I just expected him to really be a lyrical freak like his friend. Still he should be MUCH more well-known and his twitter is @ShowTufli
Notable works: "TuFli Tuesdays" "This Fli Life" "Without a Doubt"
1. XV: Now I'm really biased with this, but hear me out. For a few years now Vizzy has been creeping up and up to becoming a mainstay in rap. In fact he's not really that new anymore. I am very biased though because I have had the pleasure of working with him I had to show my respect to X. Bias and everything aside though Vizzy is just the complete package. He garners as much respect as Lupe, spits with as much intensity as Kanye, and is probably the most humble dude in rap. I got hooked on his music when I was introduced to "Everybody's Nobody". Mirror's Edge is still one of my favorite tracks by him. But since then XV has continued to grow and become better with each project and single. 40 Days/40 Nights was amazing and showed a crazy amount of determination on XV's part and his most recent tape, "Zero Heroes" is flat out incredible. He has the lyrics, the stories, the team, the co-signs, and the swagger you don't see everyday. XV will probably blow up in 2012, and be featured on XXL's freshmen class too for good reason. I have to show the guy respect and give him the top spot.
Notable works: "Everybody's Nobody" "40 Days/ 40 Nights" "Zero Heroes" "Vizzy Zone"

3 Players the Colts Need To Draft In 2012
Andrew Luck: The obvious number one pick. The Colts have also put themselves into a perfect position to get him by remaining winless going into week 12. Luck is not only the best QB in the draft; he's the flat out best player; maybe since Manning. Though drafting Luck means an inevitable QB controversy, it can be avoided by trading Manning. I know that people will say it's 'heartless' to trade the face of the franchise and maybe even the face of the NFL after he built the dynasty of Indianapolis, but we've seen it happen in San Francisco and even Philadelphia, though Philly is a little different. Joe Montana was in his mid-thirties when the Chiefs traded for him and the 49ers had Steve Young for the next Decade to lead the '9ers to the Superbowl and numerous playoff appearances. My point is at some point Manning is going to be gone and the Colts would be foolish for trading the wrong QB (Luck) who's 12 years younger and healthier.
Doug Martin: It still amazes me when I see Manning's statistics the last 5 years and he had NO running game behind him. His play action passes were deadly for opposing secondaries and they didn't even run the ball! Imagine how good Andrew Luck would be if he had a stud running back to take some pressure off of him. Joseph Addai was resigned for his blocking skills, not his running. Delone Carter was drafted to improve the short yardage and goal line duties; that hasn't worked, and Donald Brown is simply not a starting running back in the NFL. Step in Doug Martin. Martin is smaller than all three of the present backs in Indy, but he makes up for his stature by absolutely bruising Linebackers and Safeties. Martin stands 'tall' at 5'9, 215. Eerily similar to the Colts' nemesis from Jacksonville, Maurice Jones-Drew. They say 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em'. The Colts would be wise to draft Martin. Martin has good vision, nice hands, and an absolute uncanny ability to accelerate through the hole and reach the second and third level consistently. He's a human dynamo that obliterates opposing secondaries and provides good check-down options. The Colts would be wise to draft this kid in the second round.
Matt Reynolds: Reynolds is 6'6, 325. I don't care what people say about this kid's footwork, when a prospect is that big you need to take him. He's ideally a third round pick and ideally a steal for Indianapolis. Reynolds is known for his pass protection skills, but has the physical tools to be able to be great at both pass protection and run-blocking. He would help seal up the line at Right Tackle and be a nice compliment to Anthony Castonzo on the left side. With this pick you could ideally fix 2 line positions, by securing Reynolds at RT and moving Ben Ijilana to Right Guard. Andrew Luck would have a somewhat decent pocket and there will be plenty of free agents to help plug the Left Guard position. The Colts would be unwise to let a guy like Matt Reynolds go by.

San Diego Chargers: The Biggest Underachievers
I have seen my favorite sports team go from the top to the bottom in just a few months. My Indianapolis Colts are the worst team in football right now sitting at a dreadful 0-8 behind the Jaguars, Titans, and Texans. However, the expectations for this team changed immediately when it was reported that Manning would lose most of his season to a neck injury. I expected a pretty bad season, not 0-8, but still not for them to be 12-4 either so when I saw that Curtis Painter was now my QB I realized that I had to face facts and had accepted what I already knew; this team is nothing without Manning. However, I'm not talking about my Colts here, I'm talking about the San Diego Chargers.
For the last 6 years it seems like every year analysts are foaming at the mouth to pick this team to win a super bowl, but every year they miss out. Ever since Drew Brees was sent packing and Phillip Rivers was brought in with open arms the city of San Diego has been dissapointed to see their team stumble in either the playoffs, or the regular season like we all saw last night against the chiefs. The head coach, in my opinion is the 2nd biggest culprit behind the QB, and Norv Turner better be counting his blessings that he hasn't been fired yet. Here's a guy who has a 45-24 record since becoming the head coach of the Chargers. That's a pretty good record, but let's look between the numbers here and I'll show you why this guy needs to pack his bags. Norv is 3-3 in the post season, and this is where the pieces begin to fall into place. The year Norv took over, he brought his super Chargers to the AFC championship only to be beaten badly by the Patriots, but he was safe because it was a pretty remarkable first year for the coach. Things could only go up from here right? Wrong. The next year the Chargers took a step back, but still finished first with a pedestrian record of 8-8 because the division they play in is arguably one of the worst in the NFL. Still the Chargers were immediately outcasted in the divisional round of the playoffs by the Steelers. The next year they are 13-3, but still they are gone in the playoffs, this time the Jets defeat them in the divisional round.
The spirits are pretty low here in San Diego, but they'll be back stronger next year right? Nope. Last year in 2010 we saw a resurgence in Kansas City and Oakland. The Chargers ended 9-7 and missed the playoffs. That's bad considering their main competition was the Chiefs, Raiders, and Broncos. Not to take anything away from the Chiefs, but on paper the Chargers should beat them every time. They didn't and still don't this year. Norv Turner's 45-24 record is blemished by his play within his own division. This year is no better. They are 2-1 within arguably the weakest division, and only 3-3 within the AFC. These are games they need to win. The last 5 years their division record is pretty good overall, but these last 2 years it's not. The Chiefs have gotten better, yes. The Oakland Raiders are getting marginally better, yes, but still when you have a guy like Phillip Rivers who can throw for 4,000 yards in a season, a guy like Antonio Gates who is arguably the most athletic tight end in modern times, and Vincent Jackson who is a 6'5 receiver with speed and good hands, shouldn't you be winning more than 8 games? Every year analysts pick this team to win a super bowl, and every year this team fails to reach that standard.

Drekidd's New Mixtape "Liberation"
Drekidd is an artist I happened to come accross earlier today. I saw his mixtape, Liberation, was getting a lil buzz on 2 Dope Boyz so I checked it out. All in all this tape is dope, I don't know about 2 Dope yet, but definitely making his way there. It's a breath of fresh air to hear a dude like this who has concious raps without all of the polarizing comments (Lupe Fiasco). His first single is Lights Out and the production is what really caught my attention; his flow is different and has a pretty basic delivery but his lyrics are what will keep him getting some buzz. I haven't had a chance to listen to every track but I look forward to doing so soon. Anyway it's worth a look and the download link is at the bottom...
