10. do you like the music and concept that your group is pursuing? if not, what would you change it to if you could?

"At first I was terrified I couldn't pull the whole horror thing off, but now..." Sarang clasps her hands under chin, excitement written all over her face as she continues, "I love it. I'm obsessed with it. Mostly thanks to Mina, of course," Sarang's smile grows after she mentions her groupmate. "If it wasn't for her I probably wouldn't like it as much... It's exciting to write a song knowing Mina can bring it to life through her production."

"You like me too much," Mina comments from the other side of the room, successfully startling Sarang who didn't even notice she was awake. Mina laughs at the scene, which makes Sarang shoot her a frown that was anything but intimidating.

1. have you always wanted to become an idol? if not, did you have a "revelation moment" that made you want to be one?

"I think it might come as a shock to some, but no," Eunseo laughs awkwardly and scratches the back of her neck. "My childhood dream was to be a writer. I used to write a lot in my early teens, and some of that stuff is still on the internet, which is..." Another stiff laugh comes out of her lips, and she looks increasingly more uncomfortable the more she ponders about her past as a fanfiction writer.

"I've always had love for music, but I never really thought I could be famous," Eunseo explains. "So I guess my revelation moment was the DM I got from a MNS employee on Instagram. That's when I thought, oh, maybe I can do this."

3. what's your worst and best memory from your trainee days?

"Just one? That's hard," Eunseo chuckles, but there's an apparent sadness in her eyes as she thinks of an answer. "I wasn't in a good place mentally during most of my trainee days, to be honest—so a lot of my memories from that time are hazy."

Eunseo rests her chin over her knuckles, staring mindlessly at the ground as she answers in a quiet voice, "Probably when Juni dropped out of the agency? I used to rely on her a lot, so when she left I lost my mind a little bit..."

"As for the best one, it was my first birthday as a trainee," Eunseo's mouth curls up in a genuine smile for a change. "The girls threw a surprise birthday party for me as soon as the clock hit 12. I'll never forget that day."

"Meeting Crown sunbaenims is a close second, though," Eunseo points out, smile fully taking over her face this time. "The whole thing still feels surreal sometimes."

4. is there anything you regret about your trainee days?

"Being mean to people that didn't deserve it," Eunseo confesses bashfully, returning to her awkward, uncomfortable stance from the start. "Logically, I know it wasn't my fault. Doesn't mean I've made peace with it, though."

"I'd usually say Miyoung unnie, but..." Yeji looks down and starts scratching her nails, seeming lost in thought for a while. Then she takes a deep breath, looks up and puts on a smile as if nothing happened. "I've been spending a lot of time with Chloe lately so it's her, I guess?"

"As for the second question, the answer is no," Yeji states firmly. "But I'll admit that it was a bit awkward with Sarang at first," Yeji laughs, leaning her arms back on the couch, mind drifting away again. "We're very different."
