This artistic (?) endeavor was inspired by 1) @obisooth who always provides such cute tiny Kar'niss drawings that never fail to make me smile, 2) the new digital brushes with which I'm still practicing and hopefully getting a better understanding, and 3) an expansion upon this color palette that I thought was neat.

It's been a minute since I've done anything BG3, but I got some new brushes and wanted to do a quick practice run, so, of course, it had to be Nere [ with long hair? maybe he grew it out after the Absolute nonsense. You know. After he DIDN'T get killed and he joined the party so he would be safe like EVERYONE ELSE— ] .

It's definitely messy since I was just testing the brushes, but I think they might be okay once I get the hang of them and put some more time into it. Might polish this up at some point. We shall see.

This is a newer work that I don't think was on my old blog, but I had posted it to instagram. It was drawn as a gift for my brother to get signed at a convention, because this is his favorite character of the actress in star wars, but he didn't have anything to get signed.

Touched up an old art piece. I'll likely fully redo this at some point—or simply draw something else entirely with Hades—but I like the changes I made.

Watchful Argus

Nothing too serious. Mostly just a character study/design development for Argus from Greek mythology, playing around with the overall look and considering color palettes. It's been a while since I really dove into characters from Greek mythology—over ten years, as a matter of fact—but here I am again. Maybe I'll remake some of my original designs also and post a side-by-side comparison to see how I've progressed. We'll see how confident I'm feeling about it. Haha

He Ruled the Underworld…

I'm probably still going to refine this some. Might try to push it even more realistic, while still trying to maintain the quirkiness of the movie style, but here's something, at least, after a bit of a hiatus.

I've been a bit stressed and not feeling well. As a result, I went back and watched my good old Disney comfort movies, played a fair amount of Disney Dreamlight Valley's latest expansion, and now… Well. I might be on Greek mythology again. So besides this artwork of Hades from Hercules (1997), you might also expect to see some of my personal takes on different figures of Greek myth. 😂

I actually already have one for Hades. May post it next. 🤔

A certain someone got out of bed half-asleep, tripped on her own tail, and did a face plant, then the intrusive thoughts won out and she CHOMP only to realize that she wasn't the only one awake.

I returned home from celebrating my birthday and decided to do a very quick sketch, because Trevor [with at least some level of assistance from Nere's actor as I understand it? 😂] signed my Streamily autograph earlier this morning. It was a nice little extra to the day so I wanted to do something to commemorate that it was my birthday. 😂

Okay, I have a question for the dash. The short version—because I know that tumblr abbreviates posts sometimes on the dash now—is this:

Option One (1):

Would anyone be interested in art commissions? Do you have a character you need drawn? An outfit design? A room layout, landscape, or other world-building type of art?

Option Two (2):

Alternately, I spent several years as a copy editor, and if there are any writers out there who need an editor, I would also be quite willing to do that as well.

Skillsets and qualifications of the options:

OPTION ONE (1): ART COMMISSIONS

In as close to factual and impartial as I can be, my main skills with art lie with drawing people, plants/nature, some animals. I am less skilled at 'scenes', but I can draw them. I would say that I am skilled at drawing emotions/expressions. I have dabbled with things like character sheets, concept sketches, character design/interpretation and design of descriptions given, brief comic layouts, etc.

Full disclosure: I would not take any commissions that would be considered higher than a PG or PG-13-rating, as, nothing against anybody, I am just not a "spice" kind of person. I would also prefer original content/characters only, rather than fandom things, simply because I do not wish to risk getting anywhere near the issues of making money off of copyrighted material.

As I have only recently revamped and restarted this blog, I have not yet transferred over everything. The following are some examples of my art. Most of these were just fun things I did for my friends and/or people with whom I write. There's some examples of full color. Flat color. Concepts and silly things for my blogs. One is a character design sheet. As well as an example of just a sketch/line art. If any of these appeal to you or look like something you might want, just let me know. [ Note: Most of these are fan art, but none of them were paid commissions, just me having fun. ]

Option Two (2): EDITING

English is my first language. I am rusty with Spanish. I am knowledgable on grammar, syntax, and spelling. I can brush back up on MLA or other formatting, as well as British spelling, if needed. I am very skilled at researching. I would apply the same rule from above to this as well: I would not accept anything to proof/edit that was higher than PG or PG-13. A little bit of tension and a fade to black isn't so much an issue—so long as that fade to black is also the published format. Again, nothing against anybody, I am just not a "spice" person.

The longer version:

To be clear: this is not an emergency sort of post. It's not a 'I need this or I'll lose this' sort of post. The entire point of this post is looking at my options and trying to prevent it from getting to that point.

I recently had to leave my job because the high stress was causing some pretty serious health issues. I had the discussion with my family, and they agreed that I needed to quit.

I am currently in the process of trying to get a vehicle, because my old vehicle started having some problems. I had to sell it a year and some odd months ago.

Because I am still looking for a vehicle and unable to get a new job yet, I am currently running on the funds I received upon exiting my job.

I have said all of that to say this:

I am trying to figure out if I can see about art commissions—and/or copy editing—at the least, as a way of keeping what I have from dwindling to much until I can get a new job.

If anyone does have any interest, I would greatly appreciate it. If not, no harm, no foul.

Alright. I'm probably going to put some of my art from my old blog in the queue some time today so that I can get it transferred over here, and then, hopefully, I'll also be posting some more new things as well, though, I 😂 am more of a writer than an artist, so art may be a bit slower to appear here than for some art blogs. 😂

Fair warning, some of my art that I post here will contain original characters from roleplays and fanfictions my friends and I have done together. Some of it will include relationships of varying sorts—romantic, familial, platonic, et cetera. Some of it will be just original characters. Some will be original and canon. My art blog is where I post stuff I enjoy, which is mostly stuff I've written or talked about with my friends.
