i love when fantasy novels are about 35 year olds…why is everyone in books 20 or 16 all the time

I just finished the book Silver Under Nightfall by Rin Chupeco and I’m… viscerally upset that this hasn’t been turned into a hit animated tv series on par with Link Click, Heaven Official’s Blessing, and its ilk

This book is so tumblr-coded, so pointedly targeted at people like me who hyperfixate on stories and characters

It’s got vampires. It’s got an endearingly stupid protagonist with a filthy mouth and a bleeding heart too big for his own good. It’s got spell blindingly deep lore and a fascinating world inspired by Pilipino and Chinese culture. It’s got sick-ass weapons and even sicker fight sequences. It’s got science fiction and evil blood experiments. It has absolute banger lines like this:

“I’m not going up there on your back,” Remy said stubbornly. “And you can’t bloody make me.”

“Fucking hell,” Remy said not five minutes later, clinging onto Malekh’s back for dear life.

It’s got a smokingly hot vampire couple who are absolutely relentless in their seduction of the harebrained MC.

That’s right! On top of all of its other stunning qualities, it has a throuple! A queer throuple!

Photo so iconic, it inspired me to write a smut chapter for my ff about it. Lmao but I really find it so funny that HMH was standing around like this with not a single worry, I mean why wouldn’t he try to close up his robes?
