aaron can't even look robert in the eye most of the time and that is genuinely exciting to me. i don't even think it is about protecting his marriage to john. the marriage thing is an excuse. the way i see danny playing this is that aaron is still traumatized from what happened when robert went into prison and cut all contact. aaron is lashing out at robert like he lashed out when he came back in 2023 and was saying the most horrible things to the people he loved because he was hurting. so what i mean is, aaron still resents robert for cutting him off, for abandoning him, for choosing his life for him again. and now john is mostly a cover for aaron's pain. and yes, aaron knows he can't trust himself when it comes to robert, but a stable aaron would have been able to try and support robert as a friend like robert asked. this aaron is completely OFF. he is teetering. on the edge. he is desperate. HE CAN'T LOOK ROBERT IN THE EYE.

I think it's way too early to hope that Victoria will already start to question things and become suspicious about John. But I do now wonder if she will actually get to be the first character to become plot aware. Because I do think that Aaron is going to go through a period of digging in and being overly determined to make things work with John. He's just in so deep right now to the whole hero thing where John is concerned. First with 'saving his life' (gag me), and then helping to get rid of Anthony's body (something that will absolutely come up again when John needs something to hold over Aaron's head). And now with his new found determination to ignore his true feelings for Robert, it's just going to be much more difficult to wake Aaron up.

As a Robron fan that stinks, but as someone who used to love Victoria, and would very much like to love her again, she's earned getting to be the first one to break free from the spell so to speak. And I kind of love that idea. I also really do think we're getting affair 2.0 because I think John has to discover it as his final push over the edge. Wild speculation on my part for sure, and we definitely need to see the whole drugging plot first in order to kind of get some semblance of a potential timeframe, but I think today signposted an affair way too blatantly for it not to come into play in some capacity. I don't know. Today was just really well done. And I'm finally excited about the story potential here. So I just want everything to start. Haha.
