hello

hey i haven’t been here in a while. i have had some really, really bad years.

also, i’m kind of done with the bjd hobby. i’ve reached my limit.

on top of it, it’s harder to find content now and given my recent history in the hobby i no longer find any joy in doing so. also with tumblr’s new policies, i don’t want to deal with making sure stuff isn’t constantly flagged. overall it just equals more work for me with no real benefit.

but to those worried, this blog itself not going anywhere and will remain here as an archive.

idk maybe some day i’ll revive it if i ever feel a connection to the bjd hobby again, but as far as the foreseeable future goes i have no plans to fill the queue or post anymore. sorry guys. the time this blog was most popular i really really REALLY enjoyed it, absolutely loved it, but my circumstances have drastically changed, and it hurts me more than anything to have to finally concede defeat.

thanks for everyone who followed this blog and sent in questions, you were the absolute highlight of my decade within this hobby.

I AM DONE. DONE. This was a project that’s been on my table for a very, very long time. I put lots of hours just into testing materials (both for the first design that had to be ditched and the final one you see here) and even more into actually finishing this doll. The idea is one of a girl that’s plagued by a parasite that’s keeping her alive. Hey there! Im looking for a body to fit a dollshe Van head that is not the dollshe body that would go with it. I got him ~ 4 years ago through an event and have not been able to find a body to fit him- and I don't mean that suits his personality. I bought an impldoll body with nearly the exact same measurements as the dollshe body (the impl was actually smaller in the neck) but it was too big for him! Do you have any suggestions? Or maybe know what I did wrong with the measurements?

exactly which bodies were you using/comparing? did you buy them new or secondhand? a couple centimeters off of some measurements and that impldoll has a shorter/smaller necker coupled with impl’s generally thicker👀 bodies can make a huge difference overall.
