If you need more reasons why he should be pregnant, the fandom went absolutely insane at some point in the past year and spawned a creature known as Skinzun, a hairless cat version of Shen Qingqiu with a human face that nurtures his skin children with his milk. I am not joking even remotely. It spawned a movement of other skin creatures, though Skinzun is the only relevant one in this scenario. ColeyDoesThings has a YouTube video on it. It's terrifying. However, it does prove that people think he is very motherly!"

apropos of nothing in particular, but you never realize how complicated a matter coming up with a definition for BL is

like there are different takes out there on what is or isn't a BL but I think it's a much more loaded question than people give it credit for

because whatever you define as BL, you are defining others as "not-BL" and what exactly is "not-BL" then? depending on how the definition goes, it could mean different thing

I've seen a lot of people make the divide between BL and "Queer art" with their definitions which I find dicey. Because by drawing a line between those two concepts, you are inevitably going to make a big claim about what queer art is and is not, which leads to defining what queer experiences are

idk man I just think it's really difficult to draw a line in the sand between these two, while also having a tendency to support the problematic myth of BL being for and by straight women (it's not) which leads to saying that only validly queer art are depressing coming of age stuff

I just find it's easier to define BL as a live action story about a mlm character where one of the primary plot elements is his romantic and/or sexual relationship with another man that also comes from an East Asian country (including southeast). it lets in some stuff I'm not super wild about but it doesn't eliminate anything I think would have bad implications overall

AND THEN THERE'S QLs. which like I love the label! it's so good! But is also a pain to try to define and much more complicated. is it just a combination of bls and gls and that's it? is it just a show with a queer romance central to it? what about aroace or qpr stuff? what about poly? what about a poly situation where it's a woman dating two men but they aren't together? what about a trans woman with a cis man or vice versa? what about a show with an openly queer main character with no romantic plotline? the warp effect isn't really a bl or a gl but it is a ql? it's just so hard

He would lean so hard into being pregnant I don’t think anyone could do it better. He would literally be glowing.

Any kind of Dad counts, whether biological, legal or a character another character views as their Dad. However the character's status as a Dad can not be argued against. If anyone in your fandom can make a solid argument for why that character is not a Dad then they do not count.
