"YOU WHAT?", you practically screamed at your parents. They had called you home because they said there were some "things" that they needed to discuss with you. However, never in a million years could you have imagined those "things", would be about your marriage.

"Well you see darling, we've been friends and allies with the Silva family for generations, so when Lord Silva proposed the idea of marrying his son with you to unite our families, we simply couldn't refuse", your father tried to explain.

"Oh, to hell with tradition, you didn't even think of asking me first! I'm not interested in getting married right now, especially to a guy like Nozel!", you spat. The two of you had been good friends as kids, but as he grew, his personality morphed into something you didn't quite like. The two of you often butted heads over trivial things, especially the issue of commoners. While you believed in equality for everyone in the clover kingdom, Nozel didn't quite share your beliefs, and this ultimately put a tear in your relationship.

"Honestly y/n, quit acting like such a brat, Nozel is a wonderful man and you should be honored that he has chosen you to be his bride", your mother remarked. At that point, you were done arguing, you were hurt by the lack of sympathy from your parents, and you knew you weren't going to get anywhere with them. The deal was done and there was no changing it now. You stormed out of the room and up the stairs to your chambers.

You had been sitting in your room, sulking for the past two hours when you heard a soft rapping at your door. Not being in the mood for pleasantries right now, you yelled," WHAT THE FUCK COULD YOU POSSIBLY WANT NOW?"

"Forgive the intrusion Miss", a maid answered, " but I'm here to help you pack and get ready for your move into the Silva palace. You groaned from underneath you pillow," nobody told me I was gonna be moving into the Silva house too! This is just sooo fucking fantastic." "Just try to have a more positive outlook Miss", the maid stated, " Lord Nozel seems to be a wonderfully handsome man." " Yeah, with a shit personality to boot," you retorted. "People change Miss y/n, if I'm recalling correctly that man lost his mother not too long ago, the poor thing is probably broken and lonely. I bet you can bring some light into his life and change him for the better." You laid back down and mulled over the maids words in your head. Maybe she was right, maybe there would be some way to fix him.

The next day a coach arrived to take you and your belongings to your new home. You gingerly got in, almost a bit frightened at the events to come. Your parents waved you goodbye and off you went. You arrived at the Palace about an hour later, and Nozel was at the steps, waiting to greet you.

He opened the door and gently helped you down out of the coach. From there he led you inside and up the stairs, making small talk along the way. He opened a door to a lavishly decorated bedroom, "this", he said, "will be our room." You just about choked, for some reason, the thought never crossed your mind that you'd have to share a bed with him. You let out a long sigh and collapsed on the bed, holding your head in your hands.

"Sorry, this is all just alot to process," you said your voice wavering slightly. He strode over to the bed and sat down next to you. "I know this is alot", his voice was laced with concern. "And if you're not feeling comfortable, we can take this at your pace. I'll even postpone the wedding for you if you'd like."

You had never seen this side of Nozel before, he sounded so soft, caring and gentle. Maybe your maid was right. Maybe Nozel was just lonely and needed someone to love him.

" Oh no, that's alright, I'll be ok", you tried to reassure him, but he wasn't buying it.

"Really y/n, I want you to be happy. I can tell you're apprehensive about this whole thing. If you really don't wanna be with me then just tell me now, so I don't have to suffer heartbreak later on."

Your heart started to ache and you wanted nothing more that to reach out and comfort him, but he continued on his speech.

"When father told me that you would be the one I was going to marry, I was ecstatic. I truly do love you y/n, I have since we were kids. If I've been an asshole to you then, I'm sorry, but it's just that.....", he was nearly choking on tears at this point. You pulled him close to you and just let him release his emotions to you. The two of you sat like that for what seemed like forever, just enjoying each others embrace.

Over the next few weeks the two of you enjoyed each other's company, and spent the time rediscovering the wonderful relationship you had as kids. The two of you grew closer and closer, and you continued to see that soft and caring side of Nozel. Maybe, you thought, that this arranged marriage business wouldn't be as bad as you thought.

3 months later

"Do you, Nozel Silva, take f/n l/n, to be your lawfully wedded wife?

"I do"

"And do you, f/n l/n, take Nozel to be your lawfully wedded husband?

"I do"

"Then it gives me great pleasure to pronounce you, husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride."

After you explain what happened he takes you in his arms and assures you it will never happen again, and that he's going to protect you even more from now on

Both of you just break down in tears an hold one another as you sob

Picks you up and twirls you in his arms

The somber expression he was holding before has melted away, and now is replaced with one of pure joy and love for you

He sits you down somewhere private so that you can tell him what happened

The whole time you're telling him he holds you close and nuzzles you affectionately, filling you with the strong warmth he gives off, that you had been missing

Play dates with Asta/Asta's kid are a must, he tells his kid, " just make sure you don't catch the short, loud, and annoying disease, ok?"

He likes to impress his kid by showing off all his incredible magic power, just the look of pure astonishment on their faces makes him so happy

He's also super protective, since he remembers what it was like to be a weak, scared kid

Enjoys teaching his kid how to make sarcastic, quippy comments

Training with them when they get older is a must

I mean, he's practically a kid himself(cough cough), so the two of them would get along great, just like best friends

He'd take them to sneak around the kingdom with him, and they'd try to see how many new types of magic they can find

Though he's very busy being the wizard king, he always makes time to visit with his kids, often bring them with him to work (much to Marx's dismay)

Although, he'd much rather play hookie and go somewhere interesting instead

Nozel

He is sooo clueless, someone please help this man

Not into the messy stuff, like cleaning up after his kid, that's for the servants to do

He likes to sit and read with them, and especially to read them bedtime stories

He'd let his kid do his hair, and then he'd do their hair in a similar style, so they can match with the little braids

He's trying his best to not be a piece of shit like his dad was, and tries to follow Acier's style of parenting more

Totally down for teasing and pranking Fuego and his kids

Nozel definitely likes to show his little baby off too, like, "yep, I made this and this child is the goddamn best child in the whole wide world."

Dear God I hope so. Plus Tabata just had a baby so the timing would be impeccable.

I'd assume the child would aspire to be the wizard king just like their father was. They'd definitely be super proud that Julius was their father.

I'd like for the child to develop a relationship with William, and then find out after many years that he was sorta the one who killed their dad. Sorta have an angsty betrayal thing.

You know damn well that all the captains + Marx would practically raise that child as their own. Julius has done so much for them, the least they can do is love and protect his legacy.
